Yeah–that’s great–I can click on my own affiliate link a million times and still not see it registered in their stats–what kind of confience do you think that will give me to promote this?

But every phantom spider that visits any of my pages that still have CR links on them gets registered as a download-usually more than once.

I have consisitantly done well with them on a monthly basis but recently dramatically increase their exposure for them on my site and have had zero results. Overall it is a good program, just don’t know why the last month or more has performed so poorly.

Stats are important, but to me the most important thing is the bottom line.

    so true.

when you judge a program deciding who gets prime spot placement, is it the program with the nicest stats set up, the nicest looking stats in respect to download to real player conversions or is it simply bottom line?

Well I think its crazy to even consider the first two IF the third choice is also available.

I’ve seen some fantastic stats in all the columns but the most important one; from programs that no longer exist on my sites.

And have you ever considered this? It would be nothing to do some number exaggeration in all the columns EXCEPT the bottom line. That number can be altered, but whenever it is touched; people will notice and more importantly: remember and act upon that memory.

Heck I could have a 100% ratio and never even notice it but let my bottom line fall off a bit and you can ask Brightshare; they hear about it! Screw their stats. I want MONEY!!! lol.

    Hi VooDooMan!

Not seeing your clicks show up is a valid concern. We need to check into this. Can you email me with details:

Your aff id or username, the linking code you are using and the site you are testing from. It’s likely something simple we can sort out!

Congrats to all taking advantage of the free spins promotion. As Dom mentioned it’s the 2nd deposit rate which is really where both the casino and the affiliates start to earn.

    Hi All,

Yes, you read the title correctly …

Those of you who know me know that I have been pushing/fighting for this since I joined the company. After a year of serious growth and positive results the company is backing this initiative. In Q4 of 2005 we put a plan into motion in order to deliver much more comprehensive stats to our affiliates.

You all know we pay the affiliate the most back on every dollar in [Flat TRUE 35% RevShare]. We’ve got unique tools [domain parking, adbursts, etc]. We’ve got 10 MGS casino’s and 4 prima poker rooms … blah blah blah, you guys know the score. You also know the missing piece puzzle … or better said … of the complete solution for our affiliate is … detailed statistics!

So, while this is mostly a teaser and not exactly rich in specifics, please note that in the very near future we are rolling out a new affiliate system which will offer much greater details about your affiliate account including information on your players. We plan to tackle a few outstanding issues including improved click accuracy [re: inflated clicks/downloads] & more.

There is nothing like being honest………we are honest and you are honest.
This makes everyone happy. There are so many dishonest programs it makes me sick!
You can’t help to make money with a honest relationship.
Thank you Ryan for helping me get back in the swing of things!:rasta:

It’s absurd, so many downloads and no players in my stats! I emailed about this problem and never got an answer. Hopefully this new affiliate system will be out soon!

    Hi Ryan,

I emailed Reneee about the stats issue..

It is good to know you are working on coming up with more detailed stats, however this is NOT what I am looking for..I want accuracy and I don’t care if its one number, two numbers, detailed numbers etc. Personally, I prefer this type of accuracy over the BOTTOM LINE and I would always choose to work with properties from which I receive this type of accurate reporting even if I make a little less with them (I guess I differ with a lot of other affs on this issue).

I guess I am in the minority, but being able to accurately track the performance of my pages and the positioning of links etc. is of utmost importance to my marketing strategy. For instance, knowing that I get every real click (and only real clicks) with, let’s say Brightshare, I can then test my ‘Brightshare’ link a number of different ways on my page. Then when I see that it works the best if its a text link in the lower right hand corner of my page …. I KNOW that I have my link optimally positioned.

How can I do this with CR when there are so many stats related problems?

I have been following this thread and watching my account and I just don’t see any problem with my tracking there.

    I show 1010 clicks, 723 downloads, 302 registrations and 173 players.

Given that this is a nice promo I am running on my most popular page, this looks perfect to me.

I am looking forward to more detailed stats.

I still wish Microgaming would get off it’s lazy bum and make some decent, universal stats available.

Affiliate programs are supposed to be marketing experts, not stats designers and programmers.

IMO Microgaming is biting itself in the axx with this, get off your duff and take over that responsibility and allow your marketers to market! Other software companies long figured that out. Duh! jump.gif

    Hmmmmm……I checked my stats

    48 clicks, 51 downloads, 1 registration, 0 players

That doesnt seem right…..(kinda high actually…lol)

But I don’t really care, I don’t promote them. They are on my site, and I have made a couple bucks from them. I am rebuilding from the ground up, and I figured I just drop them. I am surprised at how much people like them here. They have been nothing but bad news for me……..

Back in 04 I didn’t get my first payment from them. Its not the money lost that bothers me, its that they said they paid me.(its not like there was much action in my neteller account) And it is marked as paid in my account. Hell, I even paid taxes on it! Every time I look at my past payments I have to look at it.:madat: Really burns me up! It was only $201.65, but my site was making very little back then. It really soured me to the program.

    HELLO?!
Ever heard of ROI (return on investment)
The only way to effectively market something is to know what it is costing (time and money) and what it earns you.
I suppose you never heard of CTR either…

I sure have, and when I did I didn’t notice any programming associated with it….

Also never saw any programming in any of my business classes.

I believe in people doing what they do well. Knowing the ROI of something has absolutely nothing to do with programming and design.

One guy is the programmer, the other is the marketer. Marketers are not necessarily programmers.

If you want to be as efficient as possible, you do NOT mix the two, you have a software department creating software and a marketing company creating campaigns.

Only a fool makes a marketer do the programming and a programmer design marketing campaigns.

    Everyone but Microgaming understands that.
