What Simmo meant was that Spearmaster already owes me beers (plural) and Claire has already taken up my “buy other people beer” allowance for this trip. I’ll be staying in And Bryan’s not going now – you scared him!
October 24, 2007 at 1:34 pm #752141AnonymousInactiveThought I’d just drop in to make things more complicated.
I have a Virgin beer allowance for CAC Macau (“Virgin beer allowance” in that context meaning both “from Virgin Games”, and “none of this beer allowance has been pre-booked yet”)
I’ll book one up for you Spearmaster, since we haven’t seen each other for while, and one for Simmo to drown his [include sporting event of your choice here] sorrows
If you dont want the beer Spear, I can buy Simmo 2, and wipe one off your tab with him. Alternatively, you can both buy me beer and we call that even.
Deal?
Beer matters aside, this post’s also a reminder that we’ll be exhibiting there, and we have affiliate passes to give away. Email me if interested.
Cheers

Sorry – all debts are non-transferrable unless it’s me that’s in debt! So you could buy Claire the beer I owe her I guess – don’t buy her more than one though – it gets messy!
October 24, 2007 at 10:45 pm #752187StarBucksSportsMemberHi Guys,
Just to let you know that Commission King will be exhibiting in Macau. We look forward to meeting you there.
We also have a couple of affiliate passes available, so please drop me a mail if you are interested.

:roflmao:Quote:I’ll be more than happy to buy you a beer…and a couple shots of tequila. :tongue:You’re coming? Awesome
I will be in your neck of the woods middle of next month, though, so perhaps we can start the liquid flowing then!

Chris – you better order a case or two of tequila in advance. The last time I was in Macau for a conference, a number of us drank Tryst at the Wynn out of tequila and Grey Goose in like an hour and a half…

Hmmmm…these days, we don’t have too many ‘woods’ left around here. :unhappy:
I’ll be in Vegas mid-November, so if you’re around while I’m still home, definitely, let’s get together.

No time for Vegas, unfortunately (perhaps that’s a good thing though, considering my last command performance). But who knows, maybe can squeeze a day in…
I’ll be in on the 14th and heading out the 17th.

The first post explains the TurboJet – your best option by all accounts
November 1, 2007 at 3:57 am #752870giftorgbestMemberI will be in Macau It takes me 5 hours to fly to there.
November 1, 2007 at 9:35 am #752882DanielaUSAMemberI will be in Macau. The flight from here in Perth is only 8 hours plus an hour stopover in Singapore so that is relatively close. It usually takes me over 24+ hours with a couple of stopovers to get to Vegas for Affiliate Summit.
I was in HongKong for a week a couple of years ago and did the day trip across to Macau. I loved both places although they are very different. This time I am spending a few days in China after the conference to have a look around. Is anyone else staying on after the event?
This will be my first CAC event so Im am looking forward to meeting lots of new people and having a beer or two with you all. It seems from this discussion that some heavy drinking happens at these events.
Cheers,

Simmo has already started working on his crate – 3 down, 9 to go…
November 9, 2007 at 6:15 pm #753638AnonymousInactiveHaving never been to Hong Kong/China Im just wondering on how difficult it is to get around?
Im willing to have a go at any language but I dont know where to start with Chinese! :sarcasm:
How easy is it to get around with only the Queens english?
Does anyone know how to get from Hong Kong airport to the shuttle ferry?

This page explains the flow:
Basically you get off and before you pass through Immigration, you go to the Turbojet desk and register/get your ticket and present your baggage ID tag (you can book online through that link above but its a tad confusing). Immigration is done when you get to Macau.
They then take care of your baggage for you by the looks of things. I guess you need to make sure your luggage is clearly labelled with your destination before you fly out there. Also check this page:
