Guys
I want to reiterate what’s been stated in the past. CAP was created as a community and gathering place for webmasters who promote online gambling. It’s primary focus in the past has been to share ideas, exchange links, get design reviews and maximize all of our profits in this industry.For years we did just that and made tons of new friends online who shared our interests. I have always been proud of what we built together and still am.
Over the past two or three months we have seen the sign up of a great number of new members. Most of them are great people who want to grow their businesses. We are certainly always glad to have new members in the CAP family.
Unfortunately a small number have not come here to participate, but rather to berate and attack other long established members. I am not sure what their agenda is and quite frankly I dont care. I don’t like the new tone and mean spiritedness they have brought with them. They seem to be hell bent on creating a hostile and unpleasant enviroment for the rest of us and I allowed that to go on far longer then I should have.
I was guilty of caving in to the false concept they were promoting; that they have every right to say whatever they wish, they could criticize and tear people down with impunity and if I stepped in I was the evil censor.
Stupidly I bought into that and I let them make me very uncomfortable at my own forum. Well, its gotten to be too much to ignore. Its no longer the occasional fire that needs to be put out, instead it’s basically a non stop attempt to destroy CAP using it’s own forum!
Luckily it’s only a small number of people behaving like this. But like a cancer if we allow it to go unchecked it could fester and engulf the entire community.
Well, it’s chemo therapy time at CAP. I will not tolerate this sort of behavior anymore and positively WILL BAN anyone who is actively trying to create a hostile working enviroment for the rest of us.
You are free to discuss industry issues, talk about progams, address problems or concerns with tracking or promotions or just chat with your friends. Thats what CAP is here for.
What you will NOT be allowed to do is:
1. Make personal attacks on other members. I dont mind debate, and in fact encourage it, but we debate issues, not people! We are adopting a 0 tolerance level with respect to this rule. You are adults and this is being stated clearly, YOU WILL BE BANNED IF YOU ATTACK PEOPLE ON A PERSONAL BASIS. PERIOD.
2. You will treat the moderators (and myself :satisfied ) with common courtesy. Dom and Randy are NOT paid for their efforts. They help us as a service to the community. We owe them thanks not headaches.
3. If you have constructive issues to bring up about CAP or ideas for improvement we would love to hear them. What we will not allow is for people to come in here as guests and trash us in our own home! This is not too much to ask and we will enforce this rule with 0 tolerance.
It’s rude and unprofessional behavior to insult people on their own board. NO ONE, NO ONE, has a “RIGHT” to do so. It’s not an issue of free speach or censorship, it’s common courtesy and professionalism not to attack your hosts. It is a free country and no one FORCES you to be here. Posting here is not a god given right or something guaranteed under the constitution. Its a PRIVELAGE we extend to our community members. If you abuse that privelage it WILL BE TERMINATED. And I will be damned if I am going to be made to feel guilty for protecting my community!
If you really hate CAP or the people here or how we choose to administer things then do the adult thing and leave, you dont have to try to destroy us for refusing to be molded into YOUR vision of how things ought to be. Create your own community and YOU can dictate board behavior THERE, NOT HERE.
Guys I am sorry to vent, but I have been beaten up all weekend on my own message board, a place I BUILT and nurtured for years, I have had my best friend attacked for no real reason other then to hurt me or our community.
I have even been personally threatened in emails and private messages and told “We have family in Orlando and will see you soon!” You may not agree with every decision I make, but to threaten a persons family is WAY over the line. I am seeking legal assistance to stop these threats now.
Why did all this happen? Supposedly it’s because I DARED to try to regulate what goes on at CAP rather then just surrender it over to these new hostile personalities.
Well, I have had enough and I am going to retake CAP. I wont have everyones support, but you can be sure of this, I WILL WEED OUT THIS NEGATIVE CANCER ONCE AND FOR ALL. We will make CAP a positive working enviroment once again. I appologize in advance for some the ruckus this will cause, but its got to be done.

Since joining CAP we have been able to increase our exposure to the Gambling Affiliate Webmaster world and have learnt a lot in the process.
CAP serves as a great channel to link business partners in an environment where the more we all know the better we can do.Thanks for a great service!

We really appreciate the support.I have received over 100 emails and PMs echoing the same thing and I want to thank all of the CAP family for the kudos and thumbs ups.
I for one will be very happy to have a more peaceful CAP – discord among members puts moderators in very uncomfortable situations.
I am getting ready to go on my annual European vacation, ending up in Amsterdam for the CAC conference.
It will be nice to look forward to my return to CAP, knowing the work environment will be even better than ever.

I am all for what you announced. For me it is very pleasant to visit site where people share their experience in a buisness way. Some emotions are also very good. BUT it is realy bad when you read about some rude personal atacks.

I’ll be here supporting you guys 100% and i’ll keep bringing more forum or website owner to CAP. You guys do help many and I think even tho I like to read, most of the time at the Evil Casino area, I would like to get to know all you guys and share the ventures. :hithead:As a new forum member, I’m happy to see you made a stand against hostility and personal attacks. Nasty people often use “freedom of speech” to defend their viscious behavior. I was a member of a forum where ANYTHING is allowed and members frequently attacked each other, gave bad rep points just out of meanness and were out of control. Unfortunately, the Admin does not care and remains uninvolved. I was getting a great deal of business there but feel it is not worth hanging around in that environment where the inmates run the asylum. :wavey:
