InactiveOh man, how many times must i hear crap like this
I believe you, i have dealt with these kinds, they think they’ve given you enough, or work out a deal where they pay you some, like you were their bitch asking for shopping money, here you go honey, that should be enough
I just added betus.com to some sites, never liked Refersmart, but then betus.com started sending me some cool stuff to my house, and since i liked the stuff they were sending me i thought i’d give em a try
I’m getting so tempted to go to Vegas, with the parties, you punking out Refersmart guy, and all the other stuff, not to mention meeting everyone, i swear if i hear about one more potential violent episode i’m gonna start packing.

InactiveI used to hold shark in the highest regard as alot of the members of a forum I belonged to a few years back were thrilled with them. I used to play there regularly but my gambling was getting out of control so I requested to have the account closed and taken off any promotional lists. This was never done, so I corresponded with Laura and she said the account was now closed and I was taken off the list. Well to make a long story short I got an offer from one of their reps about a huge deposit bonus, so I figured I would try to log in to see if she did what she promised she would do and lock my account. Of course it was not, and I looked at the situation like carma and maybe I was meant to deposit and a big win was on the horizon. Just a way my addiction gave me an excuse to play lol. Well I blew a nice chunk of change. I even still have the correspondence from Laura that my account was infact closed and it is my feeling that this rogue casino intenionally tried to capitalize on my gambling problem and was sucessful at it. Being on this end of the business now, I would never promote a casino that uses these kind of techniques. This was not just a mishap, maybe the first time they did not close my account but after Laura had confirmed my account was closed and I would not be recieving anymore emails, and then I got the promotional offer 2 weeks later and was able to log in and deposit, it was clear to me that this casino will stop at nothing to earn the all mighty buck. If I didn’t know any better I would hire Nick for a swift Karatee Chop to Lauras adam apple.

My experience has taught me that…
Violence always solved everything

InactiveI used to promote Shark up until a year or so ago. Always had large depositors but only from one person. I stopped being paid and was told I needed more than one player before I would receive any money. I stopped promoting them with them still owing me money.
They remind me of Quicksilver casino, if anyone remembers these crooks.

Inactiveknowwhentohold wrote:Palace Of Chance owes me 12.5k I believe they are in the same group as Shark. $500 to anyone who beats the money out of them! That is a very interesting question.
Supposedly Palace of Chance is with Cirrus/coolcat/clubplayer under Gambling wages.
It appears, however, as though there is some sort of connection between these casinos and shark…. and Virtual casinos, although they will not admit it.
Shark knew my details from Cirrus and Virtual, so I am assuming there is some relationship there.
I wish I would have listened to Dom’s advice and not been promoting them so heavily with the bad reputation they have. It is definitely not worth it.
I will never not believe her again.:sad:Now on top of me getting stiffed so did some of my players as I am finding out, which makes me sick to my stomach. Having players get stiffed hurts more than getting stiffed myself because of the guilt I have for promoting them and the fact that I risked my players trust.

InactiveIn late May, Shark started running an insane bonus promotion through the BonusBud site. 100% cashable signup bonus, no maximum, 40x bonus+deposit wagering with blackjack ok. People on the Bonusbud forum were often depositing thousands – maybe even tens of thousands – each.
This is likely relevant in two ways:
1. The timing of that bonus coincides with when they approached you; clearly they had a big marketing push at that time. Possibly this was because they were in financial trouble and needed an influx of cash
2. It’s highly likely that they lost a fortune on that bonus, and that may have either caused their current financial problems or, if the promotion was created because of existing problems, made them much worse. My guess is they simply don’t have the money to pay either their affiliates or their winners.
There are currently two non-payal threads on Casinomeister:

Inactivehdaddy – sorry to hear about your problem, and props for the heads-up here at CAP, though things like this no longer surprise me.
What this confirms is that it pays to know your casinos before you promote them. For me, a casino with a good player reputation over a good period of time is the key to succesful affiliation. Far more important than short-term “affiliate incentives”. Although in Shark’s case you could be forgiven as their player history isn’t too shabby at all.
I don’t mean to sound harsh or condescending here….but Cirrus/Coolcat/Clubplayer? Promote those and you get what you ask for IMO – the player history reads like a book. I’d urge any affiliate reading this to ignore the lure of the quick buck and research player experiences first like Howard clearly has above. If you still think they’re good, then fine, go for it. You won’t regret it.
Seriously I shudder when I see some of the properties affiliates, particularly the new ones, promote at CAP. There needs to be some sort of education program somewhere – players look to affiliates for guidance so affiliates should be willing and able to provide it :lookaroun Get the good, honest and reputable casinos on first, then start worrying about negative rollover, commission rates and affiliate bonuses.
Cheers

I have been preaching this for years, but people just think I am a gooddy two shoes until it comes to bite them.

InactiveYes, Simmo… you are correct. Like I said, Dom threw me the advice and I should have paid more attention to her.
Yes, the bonusbud promotion had over 200k in deposits made in 6 weeks, so they got what they wanted. That is how I got the OVER 12000$ in REV. SHARE. earnings for June. It worked well in terms of making money via rev. share in june. It did lose in May.
The player complaints are terrible also. They were encouraging players under 21 years to play and telling them it was allright and if they lost it was good and if they won they voided the winnings stating that they were not eligible due to age…. and not paying players for playing “illegal” games that were actually legal… it was/is horrible. The worst part is the deception and outright thievery.
I wish I could take this one back.sneaky2.gi

InactiveHaha sorry, I completely missed your sig – I didn’t realise YOU were BonusBud.
Very interesting also that it actually made a profit despite the professionals moving in.

InactiveWhat is the persons name running it that will not pay you?
They are definitely scoundrels at Shark casino. I would not promote them to Osama Bin Laden after seeing this and reading the players complaints.
how can an operation expect to ever make a go of it when they bite the hand that feeds in affiliates them AND CHEAT PLAYERS???
shark = :toidy:

Basically, you have this place owing money, losing money, and transferring ownership, so that no one assumes liability, and this was premeditated, as said in 1st article, they planned to manipulate affiliates and use them to save their own asses, so i’m sure you’re not the only one to get taken
