GuestHi Tim,
I stand corrected again. hopefully I won’t continue to have winners and things will get back to a better bottom line.
I feel I’ve been extremely patient in regards to the fact that my bottom line numbers have been what they’ve been since June; in that I have kept WS casinos in my best spots this entire summer and fall.
That despite the fact that my income from RB has been over 5x that of my income from WS thru that period of 4 months. (actually its probably more like 7 or 8 times).
in any case: thank you for correcting me.

InactiveHi Steve
I do appreciate your patience over the past few months when your earnings have taken a bit of a hammering due to the winners. You have indeed been patient and I thank you for that.
At the end of the day, a winning player is a happy one and I am sure it is only a matter of time before you have an enormous month when they drop it all back.
Thanks again.
Tim

GuestJust to bring this thread up to date; Tim is entirely correct and my whale has been playing a whopping 21 months.
Compare to a whale I landed at lucky nugget which guessing from the time I saw a large increase of commission (because they don’t give individual player stats, so I’m forced to use this method) but guessing from the time I saw a big increase to the time it dropped off; was roughly May to Sept. I did have a good month a few months back from May, but since it didn’t continue in same manner as things happened from May on; I am assuming that previous month was from other income.
Perhaps lucky nugget will turn it around; I will report (happily) if that proves to be the case.
Allslots has three whales; two of which have been playing since april; and one was landed last month; but that one has not been back to play this month.
So far; it looks like Wagershare is way out in front of the others in terms of keeping whales playing (this is at Spin Palace)
Casino Rewards has done very well keeping my poker whale playing and that is despite having had some incredibly rough times. I contribute that to the fact that I was kept in the loop thruout which includes my having the players email. Between myself; and the competent actions of Brent; and we were able to keep the player even though Prima Poker did everything possible to run him off.
Everyone please share your experiences because this is a very important aspect of our income. Probably the most important part.

InactiveI have had a whale at Webcam for several months now – he doesn’t play continuously but s/he does play nicely at least every other month.
Others are too new to list here since this is supposed to be about whale retention, right?
How many months are they supposed to have been there to be mentioned?

InactiveI have to give kudos to Captaincooks as they’ve managed to keep me some decent sized players for nearly 5 years now, steadily every months; even though I haven’t sent them traffic for about 2 years. I also had 1 whale with Riverbelle awhile ago. Earned me a few grand consistently for about 5 months.
Now I know this might be an unpopular comment to some of you but surprisingly Casinoblasters has been one of the worst in terms of player retention from my experience. I would get a few decent players for 1 month and then they all vanish and never come back again.

InactiveI have one at Lucky Nugget for a few months now too, plus a mini whale at the Sands.

Personally I’m hungry for any tidbit of info. Its all good IMHO.
It’s important to know who is losing players quickly as it is to know who is keeping them.
for instance; though I’ve got two whales at allslots that have been playing for a few months now; I’ve the one who was there last month and now is gone.
* spiral in general has underperformed; some properties are real disappointments; in fact all of them but allslots have given me reason to consider taking them down.

Inactiveoh, I forgot the one at Vegas Slots for a couple months, and I have one at Trident for a few months now that manages to almost break even every month. Big whale, little income.

Guestone at Trident for a few months now that manages to almost break even every month. Big whale, little income.
ouch! that doesn’t speak well for Trident. For myself; I will be watching this thread with eagle eyes because IMHO this is the most important aspect once a player is landed.
Please keep us updated Dom because as Tim and I just discussed; the player’s luck can’t hold out forever. And its certain that nobody is going to quit playing a casino they’ve at least managed to break even or lose very little at – so it reasons to logic that you will either see day come where you at least enjoy one good month; or else Trident is either siphoning-off your whales; out and out just plain shaving your income; or that the casino finally becomes incompetent in the eyes of your whale and therefore stops playing there.
But one thing is for certain; you are either due at least one good month before that whales leaves; or else everybody needs to take notice and act accordingly because there is absolutely no reason a player stops playing at a casino where they are at least breaking even; unless they get treated badly, get religion, or die.
am I wrong?

InactiveEither that or there really is money laundering going on – would be the first time in all this time I ever saw anything like it.
I have always held Trident in the highest esteem. We’ll see what gives.

InactiveTrident is one of two groups I have 100% confidence in. The other is 32Red – not that I trust their aff backend (which is the Microgaming piece of junk) but I trust that operation 100%.
I get beat at Trident 4 out of 5 months… LOL… I have no idea what it is but it isn’t them skimming, that’s for sure. I am one of the last people they would even THINK about playing around with.
All I have is my word… LOL… take it or leave it, YMMV – but it might make you feel better to know that it’s not likely.

I have a belief that “most” players that win big jackpots are probably playing quite a bit before hitting it big, thus you would expect them to feed you for awhile prior to hitting. In my vanishing big players that never happened. Furthermore if you hit a huge jackpot like that youd might cash some or most of it out, but if you were into gambling you wouldnt cash it all out!
Which program had the vanishing winners? LMAO – why yes of course Casino Rewards – Blackjack Ballroom!
…
Had a progressive winner last month at King Neptunes 19,000+ that player is still playing as Id expect.

GuestHi again,
The only time I’d expect a player to disappear after hitting a big jackpot is if they were small potatoes to begin with: but there’s just no logic in a proven bigtime player winning big; and then quitting.
not likely is an understatement.
That said; I’ve also had big players disappear at CR though I can’t give a time table; they may have played for 8 or 10 months: I don’t have anything handy to confirm or deny that; but what I’m getting to is that CR has had some serious customer support issues that I have concluded were a large part of the reason I lost my good players.
I’m hoping they’ve turned it around and intend on following up on that respect as soon as time allows.

InactiveMy whales at Golden Palace have slowed down a little bit, but are still playing there.
My whale at Zodiac Casino has now disappeared. I have a potential whale at Yukon Gold though, but he seems to have slowed down a little over the last couple of weeks too.
I’ve picked up a new whale at Palace of Chance.
I have a whale at Maple Casino, and a potential whale at Crazy Vegas.

GuestI’d be interested in hearing where crazy vegas goes with there whale. I’ve always been on the short side of expectations with vegas partners, and in fact the only property that ever makes me any money is sun vegas for some reason.
I finally just gave up on the other properties although I still do list crazy vegas, the others I’ve completely removed due to poor performance. The newest casino I never even gave a try, so I can’t speak on that one.
Good luck with the whale Randy!
