InactiveYeah… I’ve NEVER seen this happen at an offline casino! Impossible!
Are you kidding?

327007MemberWhy would you split a pair of 10s with such a large bet? Splitting 10s against a 6 decreases your expected gain by ~0.24xBet Size.

InactiveI wasnt splitting – I was playing 2 hands at the same time

Inactivehi,
Is this a real money hand/deal? Coz if it is, it truly sucks big time and even I would be very suspicious as to the result of this hand. Does this always happen to you? If the casino is always able to come up with a 21 on 3 or more draws – I would be very suspicious.
BODOG’s casino is powered by RealTimeGaming. As an affiliate I find the casino software to be quite fair – I have seen players who won HUGE – I have a player who is up $100k since September playing the casino exclusively. But don’t take my word for it – if you suspect the hand/deal – email support and ask them to investigate this hand – most likely they will respond that the hand is normal and no anomalies were detected – but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
just my opinion.

InactiveI’m obviously thick !!
What’s the issue?
That the casino went from a face up 6 to 21 ?I’m not even sure how to calculate the maths but the total of 15 must be relatively common with 2 cards.
A+4
10,J,Q,K+5
9+6
8+7Given that they had to get at least 11 more points (dealer must reach 17 to stand) then the range that they’ll draw is actuall 11 to 20 for drawing more cards.
And with 15 in the middle I’d guess that it might be 15% or 16% likely – so occur one hand in 6.
This isn’t even particularly unusual … and only ranks as a bad beat.
Nothing more.
But if you’re talking about something else that I don’t realise then I apologize.
But I can’t see what is SOOOO strange that it’s worth a post?

InactiveI see no issue things like this do happen quite often in blackjack on and offline.
January 3, 2007 at 2:51 am #720635Anonymous
InactiveNothing wrong with that hand , dealer has 11 hits and makes 21 , it happens .
Thing is we always remember when we have 20 and the dealer makes 21 , butwe always forget when we hit a 14 and make 21 to beat the dealers 20
Just a Bad beat.
1 tip for bodog , when the dealer makes blackjack 90% of the time he makes BJ the next hand , so bet accordingly.

InactiveYeah, it’s real money alright.
I dont know, it just seems funny – I get 2 20s and the dealer start with 6 and then opens 5 and 10 – I call that convenient.
I dont know how many “virtual decks” the dealer has, but they have to ba a lot for this situation to occur. I had a few other funny hands like that – but this is the only screenshot I took – should’ve done more.

Inactivedealer hit 21 and you had 20…i’m shocked
…
that you would post this

That’s one way to look at it.

InactiveStupid wrote:I dont know how many “virtual decks” the dealer has, but they have to ba a lot for this situation to occur.Well there are 2 Queen of Hearts so you know it has to be at least two.

InactiveYou would have to have at least a million sample hands before you could even suggest anything improper here. Even if the odds were 100:1 of this happening it WILL happen 1 in 100 times and to think because it happened to you that it is shady software is impractical.
The theory is that if the dealer had 19 that it would be just as rigged in your favor, which is non sense. You just had a losing hand. Thats all.January 3, 2007 at 4:42 am #720649Anonymous
Guestthings like this do happen quite often in blackjack on and offline.
Isn’t that the sad awful truth of the matter!
January 3, 2007 at 4:44 am #720650Anonymous
Inactivewell i never play two hands at a time.
Those are indeed the hands they make the money on, but the K6 with a 10 draw is where they give it back. I’ve been slapped around plenty online and in vegas, but i’ve have a few good wins in different places to balance it out.
Yes it sucks, No it’s not any indication of dishonesty. Now, have that happen 3, 4, 5 times in a row and you’ll get a lot of support for “conspiracy”.
better luck next time

InactiveWow, hold on, guys, I have never said the software was rigged – hell, I advertise Bodog on my site.
All I said is that this is how the online casinos make money.
Now, you play $200 a game, and when you get dealt a hand like that, I dont think you will laugh, or talk about odds.
Hands like that are like, say, Manchester U, Arsenal and Chelsea all loosing their games on the same day while playing at home – the odds say that it could happen, but let the Gooner tell us how possible it is
