PR Update Just Started

darko123 asked 3 years ago
About 1/2 the data centers are updated already

looks like most sites (i looked at many well known casino / poker portals and non gambling related sites) lost pr – likly due to google discounting some links

but as google does it to everyone – it just becomes relative

just thought i would give u guys a heads up

I’m always feeling nervous when Google starts updating PR.
Now my PR is 4 on a half of datacenters, and 5 on anther half. It was 5. And I hope it will stay 5.

u 301’d it right?

yes with an .htaccess file

it was on a free host with a no ad upgrade. The no ad upgrade is going to expire in May or June. All the pages are now in Google

Should I close the no ad account?

thanks

thanks for posting that info.

I moved my site to new domain in Jan and its’ been stuck at 0. This morning it was still 0 now it’s 2. Unforunately my retail site dropped from 3 to 2.

Will that effect my retail site on Googles search results, as it comes up 7 for my top keyword?

thanks

WOO HOO! I’ve jumped from a PR1 to a PR3 on the front page
and most of the inside pages to a PR2~
I’m thrilled!

OK. Thanks. I guess I was getting the 2 confused

Why PR is used is beyond me, it has nothing to do with the SERPs.

darko123 answered 3 years ago
pr is not directly related to your postions in google (serps)

OK. I’m a little confused. My gambling site’s PR remained the same. However, my traffic site went down to a PR2. Yet that site still has 6 of my keywords on Google’s 1st page. How can that be?

I think the update is complete as my slottipsguide is officially 2 on all the centers, even in the toolbar query where as a couple of days ago it was 2 in about 1/2 the data centers and said N/A for the toolbar. It took 3 months to get a pr.

I’ve seen an increase in people searching on the names of older land-based slots the last three weeks.

My retail site did eventually drop from 3 to 2, but is still listed consistently at #7 for my top keyword in Google.
