It’s true msn has a pr 2. I have more than them <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Well I don’t think msn cares about that, google may play with us but they can’t do the same with sites like msn and yahoo. They have the traffic no matter their pr.

And I would like to know why the Nr.1 site – yahoo has a pr 9 and google has a pr 10.

Look at this:

Google -10
yahoo – 9
msn -2
msn.co.uk – 7
altavista – 9
blogger.com -10

The lottery has a simpler algorythm….

Again, regarding msn:

Lokk at the backlinks in google for msn:
http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&q=link%3Awww.msn.com&btnG=Search

Only 8, and very funny :banger:

I think it goes to prove that this is either a botched update or google is inherently screwed. Either way ignore what anyone from google tells you. They speak like politicians basically telling you nothing in fifty different ways.

Hi,

Very interested in this thread but am getting a bit lost in terminology. Can someone recomend a good resource/website for SEO basics ?

Aaron Wall’s SEO Book is a good resource if you don’t mind spending a little bit of money. I’ve always thought it was worth every penny, and it’s updated on a regular basis.

I think you can probably pick up some of the terminology from Bruce Clay’s site or some other basic SEO sites. You could probably even find a beginner’s guide to SEO terms doing some creative searching in Google or Yahoo too.

Aaron Walls book is worth every penny. Even for a complete web moron like me it was easy to read and I learned a bunch.

Hey Everyone,
Well I must say this is one crazy Google update. MSN showing a PR 2 and Alexa was showing PR 0. Google seems to always do this near the holidays. I think they are trying to boost spending at Adwords to make more money for themself. Problem is they don’t allow online gambling. We might as well wait it out and see what the results like like in a couple of weeks. Goodluck everyone.
