Google March/April Update

Looking forward to it, I’ve had a PR=0 for almost 3 months now. Just missed the last update by a week or two. So, how much of an improvment do you really see with a higher PR?

I’m looking forward to the update too. I’m expecting at least a 3, perhaps a 4 for both of my sites.

Behind the scenes, the PR is constantly changing. Your site could actually be a PR3 right now, behind the scenes, but since the toolbar only updates once every 3 months, you won’t know your actual PR until the update.

So, you may not see a big improvement in the SERPS after the update, since your PR behind the scenes already controls your placement in the index. The updated toolbar PR won’t result in a sudden jump in traffic, unfortunately.

Even so, it’s nice to know what your visible PR will be for the next 3 months! I will be monitoring this link throughout the update: http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/future-pagerank

There, you can see the “Future PR” of your site. At first, only a few of the data centers will show your new PR. Eventually, the PR you see on those initial data centers should transfer to all of the other data centers. This could take some time to complete; I think the last update went on for one or two weeks.

I hope they wait a little more so that my link directory will be properly indexed before the update :turkey:
