Maybe I shouldn’t have quoted.
The point I was making, don’t place blind faith in just anyone and always, if possible, do a test before letting loose on your main $$$ site. Another good reason for having more than one web-site. <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

His top 5 list is ok, the only thing you really need to be careful with is #2 article submissions. 3,4,5 are must do’s.

Personally I don’t think using only 5 methods is enough. This isn’t 2005, SEO is now almost a full time job for webmasters which is sad really. I’d much rather spend my time doing things I enjoy and SEO isn’t something I enjoy doing but I do like seeing sites go up in SERPS and seeing traffic increase.

I came across this last week and just smiled because it’s something I’ve already been doing and think it’s key going forward. Even if you’ve already figured it out, it’s a good refresher. Top 1 SEO Tips for 2013 | SEOmoz

I’m always dubious of anyone giving advice on gaming SEO. It’s a totally different ball park to mainstream. I’m even more wary when it’s from someone I don’t know & they have no site link.

All I’m saying is be careful who you choose to take advice from.

Some good points made here but if you really want massive traffic, you need to do ALL of them and more. I see too many people fixated on just a couple of methods. That is NOT natural. Do them all and you’ll be surprised how much traffic you can generate.

You also need to stay current on everything from Google algo changes to the new up and coming social networks. For those of you who have been around for years, just think back to the sites that dominated this space a few years ago and think where are they now. Most have disappeared from SERPS.

Very interesting information – thanks for posting casino planet , still thought link directories surely BOTW and Dmoz might be higher in overall directory strength?

Dmoz is good, but nearly impossible to get listed (unless you know an editor). So submit and forget.

What I hear and read about BOTW is that it’s not worth the money anymore. I didn’t renew my submission for that reason.

Forum links have a pretty low raking when it comes to link power:

1. Links from relevant sites
2. Links from fresh content
3. Unique links from a start page
4. Site wide links
5. Links from old but relevant content
6. Links from forum posts
7. Social bookmarks such as FB profiles etc
8. Footer links

You have give the excellent tips to get the massive traffic but some I think you have do the social media and create the fan pages on the facebook and try to get the traffic. Get the followers from the Twitter. Create the niche blogs and update the contents on the website.
