Well – I got this from Club Dice…

    >Hi XXXXX,
    >Thanks for the quick response.
    >I don’t know if you have noticed, but your invoice for last month was
    >quite nice.
    >This and only two players!
    >Our casino does really good at getting the most from your players, but
    >in order for us to justify sending you payments like this each month, we
    >need to see more players coming in, and I am sure that you can bring
    >much more (if you made this much from only two, imagine what ten or
    >fifteen a month could bring.
    >I would like to discuss this further over the phone, is there a number I
    >can reach you?
    >Or we could also discuss this via MSN messenger, if you send me your
    >sign email.
    >
    >Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
    >
    >Kind Regards,
    >Ron
    >

Ya know how he got me to write back? The asswipe told me they had a problem with my commissions… It had nothing to do with my commissions really – cept this part….in order for us to justify sending you payments like this each month,

for instance; if I’m making $1000 currently with program “Dom”, if I keep up sending traffic at present rate; in 6 months I should be averaging what I am making now; plus some extra income from the players that the casino has managed to keep around and keep playing.

Lol, how did I get in there?

There are some other factors, such as seasonal fluctuations, whether that particular program called “Dom” is currently under attack on the player forums (yes, that does make a big difference), and what your players happen to be worth that month, which fluctuates some too.

I expect to see better results in the winter than in summer, with the exception of January. I tend to adjust advertising spend seasonally, so that too will influence things. I am forever fishing for whales, they of course skew the whole picture.

So this can vary from month to month and affiliate to affiliate. I still like the idea of tracking this, because it still will yield valuable information.

On another note, interesting comments about Windows. I have been thinking about giving them a try. Several other people also speak well of them.

    DVS, that’s a familiar song!

    Torrey,

Club Dice Casino (or CDC as I call them, for the obvious abiguity with the Centers for Disease Control ) is a different kind of opperation, for sure.

They do very well for me… probably the best PlayTech site I have. CDC and Carnival convert great and have good retention.

But… (there’s always a but) I must admit that they have some of the worst affiliate relations of any online casino. If you contact them with an issue, be prepaired for your commissions to tank within 2 working days… kind’a like a warning shot over your bow.

CDC shorted me just $40 two months ago… no big deal. I inquired about the missing cash out of curiousity… no reply. The “no relpy” part is a big deal, so I wrote again. I got the generic “we’re looking into it” reply, followed by a negative ballance on my commissions.

Since then I’ve been quiet, and my commissions recovered.

By the way, that email inquiery about the missing cash went out mid-January… never did get a reply to their “big investigation”. It’s just not important to them. Once you realize that’s how they do business, then you can decide if you can deal with them or just move on.

Not to get off topic, but I have a newb question. Dom made reference to player forums, what are some of the more popular player forums out there?

That e-mail from Club Dice is nasty.
What do they mean “…in order to justify sending you payments like this each month…”
That sounds like a thinly veiled threat, and it’s disgusting.
It implies that they have discretion regarding the payments they send…..

    Hi,

    thanks for the response.

well all I can say about this is that I am lucky to not be in a situation (at the moment) where I have to put up with such BS.

That “warning shot” would have been enough for me to yank their links as Focal is learning now.

I won’t put up with this kind of crap! And the only way to put a stop to these kind of business tactics is to not lay down and take it.

I know that’s easy for me to say because I don’t have income depending on those kind of programs but consider that maybe there is a reason for that.

Actually that’s the reason I stopped sending traffic to Windows; was not because of the way they were treating me; but because of the way I was told they were treating others like me.

so I stopped sending them traffic. However, they have proven to me that I can trust them to keep paying me despite lack of traffic and I am (finally) deciding to start sending them traffic again.

Its been over a year and I think that’s a pretty good amount of time for them to have proven what they are made of.

I cannot however comment on the treatment of others; whether they are still being mis-treated – or not.

I would be interested to hear from others on the subject.

Frankly, from what I’ve heard about any playtech casino; is that they have a great payback ratio for players; but my sources say that for webmasters; because of the great payback ratio; there is little money to be made.

add that to crap like “warning shots” and I’m out of there.

And I am amazed Integrity (because I’ve gotten to know him and he don’t take any shit) is putting up with tactics like that. So maybe they are worth the BS.

    Same is true with DVS.

I’d walk a mile around the long way before taking a chance of making either one of them mad at me.

thanks again for the input guys; I think I will skip those two and look further.

I won’t. because I don’t want to cause any trouble for Int; but I’d like to write Dice and tell then what I think of the way they manipulate earnings.

It never ceases to amaze me how some places allow ego to effect the way they run their business. Sure, that happens in all aspects of the business world; not just online; but it still always amazes me.

perhaps I come from the old school, but I was always taught the customer (or person making you the money- employees not included of course; and we are NOT employees. They get medical etc.) is always right or at least if not always right; deserves to be catered to; a little bit anyhow.

the fact that your earnings are manipulated proves only one thing; that you’re likely being screwed out of some of your earnings every month, even when you’re on their good side.

We can’t avoid some of this; because we don’t know about it all. But when a program goes out of their way to prove it like Focal did to me and Dice has done to Int; well screw them!

Most these places likely are not big incomes anyhow; (gee I wonder why?) so why put up with it?

remember, we are the final say, not them. Unless you give them that power.

So I recommend that if you don’t already have income tied up with these places; that you never put yourself in league with them so that they can later; do you like they’ve done to others.

And in case any of their spies are reading this; I wonder how much more money you’d be making every month if you treated your partners in a fair manner?

I guarantee you it has run me off; and I’m quite certain I’m not the only one that won’t have dealings with such places that use these low-rent tactics.

Which is the reason for threads like this one; to point you out.

I have nothing good to say about Windows at all. They are rogues as far as I am concerned. I had a very nasty experience with them and have the emails on file to back up what dick heads they are. I have also had private correspondences with other webmasters who feel the same way about them – having had similar experiences.

    Ferg,

Club Dice is notorious for activity like that.

In fact, I have a friend in Texas who was owed about $700 one month. He’s a part time webmaster and has three kids, so he can’t pour thousands into marketing. He was planning to invest that $700 back into promotions, but Club Dice didn’t pay him.

When he contacted Club Dice, he was told that it was an oversite, but too late in the month to get him his money… they stated they would pay him the following month with his regular commissions.

Guess what!? He went negative shortly after… about $300… and Club Dice subtracted it from the $700 the owed him.

Club Dice is a special kind of casino.

And you’re right BB1… usually I don’t put up with that stuff. If they screw my players or stop producing a reasonable ROI I would have no issue walking away from them. I stay because it’s a business relationship which (currently) benefits both them and myself.

Bottom line about Club Dice is that they have good conversion/player retention, however you better not be making noises or there’s gonna be no dessert for you!

And, they treat their players right.

    Is that pretty accurate?

    That sounds about right…

And, they treat their players right.

As far as I can tell… although I have had one complaint. But I hear she was a pretty well-known bonus abuser.

    Hi again,

as I was about to leave to go bowling I turned around and came back to write one more time how much I …. (and everyone else should too) appreciate the fact that people like DVS and Integrity are willing to stand up and warn us about these matters at risk of their own welfare.

    CHEERS GUYS!

    you’re the best!

Thanks so much for the complements *blush*….

…but I assure you that most webmasters here would do the same… I believe. We have some of the finest webmasters online in this forum (and running it!)

Just remember that, as affiliates, the only people we can really count on are each other!
