Well I opened a click2pay account this week, but jeez they are crappy compared to NETeller. Does anyone else have measly $750 a week spending cap? They also do not have peer to peer transfers, support sucks as well, a friend of mine is still trying to open an account there but all the support people can tell him is try back in another hour or two since servers need to be “refreshed”. There has to be somebody to roll something similiar to NETeller out in the near future.

Seriously, we need the new Congress to get in office as quickly as possible. January seems way too far out.

It remains to be seen whether the new Democratic Congress will let the implementation of the new law just fizzle out and die. Reid is pro-gambling (land-based), and it will be interesting to see what his stance on this new law is. Fortunately, 2 of the big 4 proponents of the law are now out of office (Frist and Leach). SO, the impetutus for pushing it along, may have decreased a bit.

Additionally, I read an interesting article in Revenue Magazine (Nov. edition), that says that if WTO finds U.S. guilty of not abiding by its decisions regarding the gambling stance with Antigua and Barbuda, that Antigua could be given compensatory damage. This would be elimination of copyright infringement laws and provide them the digital rights to sell American CD’s and DVD’s (I have no clue how this became the compensatory items !). The article states that this would greatly upset the US Entertainment industry, which has very strong lobbyists. Hence, there is chance that if this were to happen, that the Entertainment industry would lobby hard for an amendment to the law, a challenge against the law, or the possibility of ensuring that the law just withers away and dies (it wouldn’t be the first time that this happened to a law that was passed). It will be interesting to see what happens here.

In any event, let’s hope that NETeller hangs around past the New Year. My gut instinct tells me that they don’t want to flush their business away UNTIL they see if this law realistically gets implemented or not. They are being politically correct in their statements, and I think they are betting that the US will not be able to (or will not) implement this law.

Wow, it did not occur to me that the UK and Cyprus banks would not allow checks cut to usa residents either. I will hate to see the day when affiliate programs say they are no longer willing to work with USA affiliates because of this.

Can we get an affiliate manager that is a little more in tune with how this is going to go down in the future break this down for us. I would like to know what is going to be done here. I really don’t want to find out right after Neteller shuts down USA accounts, that I have to stop promoting a particular program because your banks cannot cut me a check and you don’t have an alternative way to pay me. I need to go back and read that article Leisure Gaming had for affiliates to get set up offshore. I think that fixes all of this, but nevertheless affiliates want to know where they stand and what if any work arounds for the potential payment issues are in the works. I mean, we all work to make money, and we all have a knot in our stomach right now because nothing is solid. Can any of you affiliate managers put our mind at ease and give us a breakdown here? I have to believe that affiliate programs are going to be straight up with us here and not string us along knowing all the while usa affiliates will be out of the picture because banks are not allowing you to issue us checks. We just need a little reassurance here and don’t need to wait till the last minute to put these scenarios on the table. Kindly advise.

Take it as it comes.. cross bridges when you get to them… try to not burn them along the way.. and bring a paddle for when they collapse..

If you worry over what you cannot change, or do not know for certain the only thing you will gain is a stroke..

For all my new friends and old .. that have signed up with Pearl Gaming, no worries ;) We are paying successfully via Epassporte :)
