Dodge Datona? You *never* see those.

    69/70 maybe?

I hope you post a pic of that a year from now. (And hope it looks a little different, of course.)

There’s a few fine cars being displayed. That model MR2 is definitely the nicest and way better than the current one, in my opinion.

I remember when I traded my Alfa Romeo Sprint. I told them that it didn’t like starting more than once or twice without the battery being recharged. Somehow I think it used to drain the battery rather than charge it when driven. But then the Italians never really worried about dodgy electrics in their cars. As I dropped it off and was driving away in the new car I saw them pushing it out the back. I was so pleased to get rid of it but it sounded fantastic. Not as good as the current ride though. Last of the air cooled ones with all the bells and whistled except for the turbo engine.

Of course it’s easier to have one of these when you don’t have a family etc, because it is not a very practical car and is really only a weekender for me.

I have a 2000 turbo New Beetle, who is lovinly named baboosqa.. lol

I have owned alot of cars over the years.. from bmw.. on down but have to say this is the funnest car ive ever driven.. (well not counting the 66 vette lol)
But baboosqa is my baby and believe it or not.. she can go from 0 to about 120.. before you blink your eyes .. It even has a wing that comes up at 98 mph to make sure you dont fly lol.. And i love the looks of disbelief in the eyes of the dirvers of the sports cars i pass.. on the freeways .. hehe.

Even when i get ready to buy a new car.. i know this is a car i will hold on to.. and believe it or not i actually bought it on ebay.. for 4,000 under blue book.. 2 years back ..

I had an Alfa Romeo GTV6 Twin Turbo that looked so damn sharp with the spolier package, custom rims, etc…But it was also constantly screwing up like yours with the wiring and stuff, and then you gotta take it to an i charge double because i know Italian cars mechanic, and he never fixes it right because he wants you coming back, not enough Italian cars around for him to work on i guess

Now i have a shiny black BMW, with the spoilers, open top, and just added a chip that makes it go even faster, so i can drive 300km an hour, instead of my customary 200km

I’m eyeing a black Ferrari Testarossa convertible for my next car, ever since i started watching those Miami Vice reruns, even though Sonny Crockett drove a black Ferrari Daytona Spider in the show, those are very rare, so the Testarossa will have to do, man, i sound spoiled.

Bit off topic but just picked up the Miami Vice season one dvd a week or so back. The Daytona is nice but that model Testarossa was one of their best, including current models.

MY Alfa also had trouble when it was raining because if I had the wipers, fan and CD player going, the wipers took about 15 seconds to move up the window. Did I turn the CD player off? Of course not.

    My Cars::

The “Toy” – VW GTi- 303 wheel horsepower with serious suspension work etc. Its a great car to suprise Porsches, Vettes etc. but a real pain to keep it running properly… it’s fun to see what you can do when you add $20k in mods to a car.

The SUV – Ford Escape fully loaded, reliable and ready for canadian winters.

Soon to add – Another toy, maybe a Porsche Boxter or something….

Laugh all you want I drive a 1988 Pontiac Fiero customized to a v-8. Almost to fast! It would take on a Porche anyday. The car is nuts.

Well I drive an Audi TT coupe, a beautiful car but I have my eye on the new Audi RS4 at the moment, that is one serious car :-)

I had a big Audi behind me last week. I hit a nice bit of clear straight road so put my foot down. Turbo spooled up and went from 30 to 80 in no time, looked in the review mirror and this guy was right on my tail.

He was obviously in a hurry so I let him pass, it was only then I realised it was an A8 – My God those things can shift!

Not sure which model it was but the powerful ones can do 0-62 in 5.1secs. Even the bottom of the range does it in less than 8 secs.

Think I might trade in my Toyota Verso for an A8 :)

I was sent this by my brother and thought you guys might enjoy it.
It is a kinda’ long video of Hans Stuck doing an all-out lap at the original Nurburgring (73 turns, 21km long, thru the forests) not the fru-fru ring F-1 uses. He’s driving a BMW M3 GTR. The most dangerous track in the world. It has killed more drivers than any other…still kills one driver per week when opened to the public (usually a motorcycle).
Like I said it’s kinda long, but gets more frightning as it goes. Turn up your volume and enjoy!!:1circling

My goodness, These are absolutely some beautiful cars you are driving.

    Truckin,
I admire those who take old cars and bring them back to their glory days.
Wish i could afford such a hobby.

For the last 2-3 years me and my wife drive a red 1998 Seat Ibiza,
I never bothered to take any pictures of it, but you can see some here :http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&q=seat+ibiza+98
