I always make sure our people sort of ‘warn’ the people about bonuses. Always point them to the bonus requirements.

We heard about a player who was offered a no deposit bonus of $20. Happy as he was, He never went to read the bonus requirements. This guy went on to play slots and, guess what?

This guy manages to win a really big amount of money the first spin he has. Literally several tens of thousands of dollars.

Only to be told he could cash out $150 or so, and the rest would be deposited as ‘fun’ money in his fun account.

    Kapooya. :(

For that and MANY more reasons: Always inform your visitors about the bonus requirements. They are there. Your visitors need to read AND understand them prior to depositing.

This way, and only this way, the players can’t ever become disappointed.

And, isn’t it fair and honest to do so? Your visitors will admire it.

Yes very well said of course it is the best thing to do.

But to play devils’ advocate here…

Most of the time, and I mean 95%+ they have no understanding of what a max cash out is, even after typing it out and explaining it to them.

“How could a casino say I have X amount of money and I don’t” …it just doesn’t compute, especially to old timers who are seeing online games for the first time.

So after I typed above, I felt like I was giving myself to much credit and offering a reference point would be good. So I called my old man, a physician and nice guy who has been known to thrown the dice on the way home from work more than once.

“Pop, go to my no deposit bonus page on my website, you know the one I showed you before, and tell me if you understand what a max-cashout is.”

He said it is the most amount of money they will let you withdraw. Which is right, but then I said,

“OK then what happens to the rest of the money if you win much more than that, like 10k?”

“I guess you can just keep playing with that and withdraw it in another transaction.” was his response.

Now this is a smart guy we are talking about, he is not a family practitioner, although some are great, he is the medical director at a very large hospital. The big boss if you will like House lol.

So I asked, “Search for more info and research it and then tell me again, objectively because by now you have figured out what I am trying to do. Explain to me what happens to the rest OK?”

We both agree that it is unlikely anyone will know this unless they are freakishly into researching or reading every word and further investigating it, because the very principle behind the no deposit bonus rules is contradictory to most people’s concept of what a casino is.

Welcome bonuses are a good thing..But, it really depends if we’re talking casino or poker here. I know in poker it can be hard for people to achieve their bonuses sometimes and I think it’s because they make a small deposit and then jump to bigger stakes. In the long run, they end up losing their money before they can even claim 10-20% of their bonus. It’s completely different if we’re talking about casinos though!

imo most of the bonus rules won’t fly in the usa. head over to the NJ casinos and see how simplified the terms are.

It’s all depends on the terms and conditions of the bonus.
I market lottery tickets online and I am able to offer one lottery ticket absolutely for free, as welcome bonus.
We love this program as there are no string attached in this bonus offer.
Visitors get really one free official lottery ticket, after registration.
    That’s real bonus! :)

To be honest i have met only ONE great bonus.. And the sad thing is they give it only once on new sign ups..
    it’s from Stargames.

Stargames gives you double your money, no wagering. Real Cash. (just not cashable) But it sure boosts you to do crazy high bets. could you imagine getting 200 (with one deposit of 100) and just slam your way up with 20 Euro bets on the slots.. Yolo style?

But others are just a pain in the “between the buttcheeks”.
Finding out you need to wager bill gates hour salery for depositing 10 bucks..
    Or even WORSE!!!

Listen to this one i had once !! It’s Hilarious :blahblah:

I actually won <- sounds so bad to say while your a casino affiliate :hitthefan
so i won around 400 or something..
Was about to cash out, but than i saw there in the corner of my eye about their rewarding system !!
And because i deposited only a small amount and played out a decent amount of times to get to the 400 i had great points..
    something like 10? 20 euro?

So i said why not, put in the bank account and let’s Cash out !

    NOT!!!

turns out i had to wager that 20 x 30 times..
Isn’t that wonderfull, could have had 400, now im forced to play a little bit more.. 1,5 times what i could have cashed out.

Don’t do this to your visitors !
