InactiveThanks for the heads up, Dcbonus.
Everest, what do you have to say about this? Cross promotion that cuts out the affiliate is not acceptable. :nono:

Inactiveif that is true it’s ridiculous behaviour and must be stopped.

Inactive+500 affiliates?? WOW
perhaps you mean “players”?
your playerbase might be migrated to EVA indeed, and if you did not change your links, only sign-ups and revenue can be tracked, no clicks and downloads,
but you still earn your money!Jennifer? Damian?

JohnnyCashMemberHello,
When we launched the new affiliate platform, we chose not to force migration of accounts from AWA and UPP. Given the improved experience and tools available in the Everest Affiliates platform, we are encouraging active affiliates to use it. Overall the standard commission in Everest Affiliates is higher than AWA and UPP, and is not a special cross-promotion. At the moment Everest Affiliates does not support sub-affiliate relationships.
This is no significant change from the past. Sub-affiliates have always been able to abandon their UPP sub account and sign up directly at AWA to receive a full commission, if they chose. It has never required much research for a good affiliate to realize s/he could make more to do the same activity.
I believe your posting is in relation to sub-affiliates, but please correct me if I’m wrong. If the concern is players, there is no loss of players associated with the affiliate account when switching.
Thanks

That is true for me for sure.

Inactivei compared the commision scales
and they are the same ??July 26, 2008 at 4:54 pm #773737Anonymous
InactiveThey are not the same from what I can see. Everest Affs pay 30% from 10k monthly and up. AWA pays 30% from 500+/week as far as I can see and tiers increase a lot quicker.
By the way does Everest bundle earnings between the different brands?

InactiveOnly the first level(s) seems different (in favor of AWA)
(i recalculated awa in months also)EVA: per month
$0 – $10,000 25%
$10,001 – $20,000 30%
$20,001 – $40,000 35%
Over $40,000 40%AWA
0 to 2000 25%
$2000 to $20,000 30%
$20,000.01 to $40,000 35%
$40,000.01 to $100,000 40%and yes, everest (eva and awa)do bundel the different brands

Inactivehmm bundling sucks really bad imho but thanks for letting me know. But I’d rather be on the 30% tier quicker though. 25% to 30% can make quite a difference already in terms of income.

InactiveWell, this is confusing to me. On AWA, I was always in the hole. On Everest I am making money. Maybe it’s just coincidence.

InactiveYes looking at the tiers there doesn’t seem to be a logical explanation for it.
Also there is a funny little gem regarding the commission on their FAQ page which we disproved a couple of posts ago. It states:
AWA:
“Different for casino versus poker; weekly tiers were difficult to reach”
Everest Affiliates:
“Same tiers for both casino and poker; easier for marketing initiatives to affect monthly tiers”
Now that sounds pretty ridiculous. Before they had to reach 500+ on a weekly basis to move up to 30% and now you’d have to reach 2500+ per week – so how come it is easier to reach those higher tiers now? Doesn’t make sense at all….

Inactiveyou got it,hehe…
one big difference although,
EVA has no negative carry-over, what AWA did haveand a pm for Goldfinger

InactiveWell, that explains why I am happy because I am not in the hole anymore.

JohnnyCashMemberThere are several key differences in commissions between the two programs:
1. AWA tiers and payments were based on a weekly period which has now been changed to monthly for Everest Affiliates.
2. The poker base rate in AWA was 20%, but has been raised to 25% in line with casino.
3. The casino base rate stayed the same, but the scale was brought in line with the poker tiers when adjusting for week to month.
4. Negative balance carryover was eliminated for casino and, when combined with the longer period over which to recover from losses, results in generating more earnings and sometimes makes reaching the next tier easier.
As with any change such as this, there will be some who benefit more than others depending on their level/composition of player activity and earnings. Overall we feel it provides a simpler, better offer for affiliates.
