Nice Banner, Wagershare might want to use it, make sure they only take 50% of the banner now and then 10% each month for the next 5 months.

    Hi Tim/Tom

I assume this won’t apply if we are still sending UK and Euro players to you guys?

I appreciate this has come from over your heads so I’m sorry you guys have to take the flak, but I can’t support Fairground Gaming’s decision on this…after all the new legislation has not made online gambling in the USA illegal and the decision to pull out was taken by Fairground Gaming alone, so they should be prepared to meet their obligations. If it was a legal issue that forced the withdrawal, fair enough, but it isn’t, it’s investor pressure and that’s one of the risks you take when your exit strategy is to go public.

    Cheers

It would seem to me if your chargeback concerns were geniune, you would implement this only with the usa players and not total earnings. In addition, I think a 10% holdback on earnings would more than cover any risk and affiliates would probably have no problem with this. I mean common Tim, even in light of the bill we are all smart enough to know that your holding back way way more than is needed, and frankly I question your money flow right now more than anything. I think affiliates would have no problem working something out regarding the increased possibility of chargebacks from usa players, but you are not being at all realistic with our money. The money your holding back does not jive with realistic chargeback numbers. I would suggest the powers at be rethink this, or you will bite off the hand that feeds you permanently. I was curious who the first company to play games with our money was going to be. I guess we all know who it is now.

I can promise you one thing, when I get big enough, I will not work with any company that does not give me a deposit. This is a classic example why big affiliates need one. You have the clout, you can deliver the goods, if they want your business they will give you a deposit and you can protect yourself against this kind of bullshit.

The policy about chargebacks was set in force way back when because there were scam artists, teams of affiliates and players, abusing casinos. The player would play and withdraw winnings if applicable, the affiliate would get paid, and then the player would charge back. Thus they left the casino with the bag to hold.

I always understood the policy on that basis, even though after years of being an impeccable partner to many programs in this industry, it was somewhat insulting to be treated this way.

Can anyone tell me what the current situation has to do with affiliates and players scamming casinos?

I still have not been answered to the question i asked two months ago from wagershare, that is, why i have not earned one “DIME” since they took over money mechanic? I usually made something every month, but when the take over came, i have not earned a thing since? so they have no money of mine to hold back…or do they?????

Could you please remove that integrity? I think that is completely without taste and quite frankly I find it a bit offensive.

    Is that better?

    =======================================

And here’s a question: If the affiliate programs are so worried that US Players will not be able to get DEPOSITS through, then how the hell will they be able get a charge back through?

Gawd, all the programs think we’re f-in’ idiots.

I would think not much, but that doesn’t mean programs won’t blow this all out of proportion and use it as an excuse to slow pay affiliates while they are making interest on our money. I agree that there might me a slight, and I stress slight increase in chargebacks. But I highly doubt players are sitting around thinking to themselves, well gambling is now illegal so I might as well chargeback all my recent deposits. And I would aslo think that most deposits are done via neteller, moneybookers ect… not credit cards. So they want to hold all this money, for the few depositors that use credit cards. What would seem fair is that they hold back a nominal amount, relative to those players who deposited via credit card or echeck. But not on all your players whom most of them probably deposited via neteller. That is garbage unless my thinking is wrong and neteller, moneybookers recieves a comparable amount of chargebacks as credit cards.

    Yes, 100% better! Thanks.

Wagershare is IMO just announcing that “we will be shaving”. In the past they just did it without notice; at least now we know up front that we are going to get screwed.

Wagershare you make me laugh – I presume you will be paying interest to everyone you owe money too after they have received their payments drip drip fashion?

    10% seems reasonable

    Tim/Tom
    This is absolutely troubling

So Wagershare must be expecting a larger than normal charge back rate due to closing up shop.

Yes though to clarify, I meant that if we are still sending UK and EU players then I would expect 100% of the payment as any future chargebacks from US players can be deducted from UK & Euro revenue.

    well
    example:
I would have been willing to continue promoting your Casinos and send you Non US players
then i still have my affiliate account and you could still charge me in case
any of the closed US players is making that charge back thing.
    NOT?
I mean then you could still take it from my future affiliate earnings
or do i see that wrong.
