InactiveSeems to me that the US Treasury and the other agencies mentioned in the law are already hard at work.

InactiveI have to agree with Greek we really don’t have anything to lose if we all link to good story and/or video. Time to put personal interests aside and try to save us.

InactiveI just don’t believe these casino programs are just going to jump up blow off the players and bag it. I think there is more to this than what we are being told by them.
Maybe they are selling their player lists or doing something else where as they can continue to extract revenue from them. These guys are brutal …anyone who doesn’t believe that is blind or in a state of denial. They are screwed, manipulative, and very intelligent. The’ve got something going on and I bet there are people in this forum that have the real skinny on it.
I’de like to know where these players end up … even if it’s for the next 270 days. What gives…? I believe someone is going to get their action. (but we won’t see a penny of it)

InactiveI agree totally you just never know where those players are going for the next 270 days.

InactiveLook at this from the article too:
Quote:
Leisure and Gaming, said it would also stop taking bets from US customers and would focus solely on its existing UK and Italian businesses. There goes Casino Coins, VIP Profits and Nine.com…
Hello All,
This is not entirely correct.
The main priority is to secure the US faced businesses.
The statement issued by Leisure and Gaming early this morning really implies that the US business will soon be removed from the PLC and operating independently of one another. This will allow for VIP Profits, Casino Coins, 9am and all thier merchants to operate as usual and thus outside of Leisure And Gaming.
Efforts will always be made to continue offering services to US players, just as US players will continue to make the effort to play online.
Hope this helps.
Bottom Line
We are still in the game!October 10, 2006 at 9:04 pm #711064Anonymous
Inactiveprofessor wrote:This announcement is FAR more devastating then anyone may realize today…because I think its a precurser to other MGS cut and runs from the US Market.I think the Wagershare announcement was predictable. There is now only one MG PLC company or PLC-affected company yet to make an announcement, although a few Playtech groups may drop US because of Playtech’s position.
That will be pretty much it IMO until HR4411 passes.
This WHOLE last week has been about the PLC and protecting share value. Nothing more.
I bet no-one can name one company who is not PLC or who is not tied into a PLC company that has called it a day on US players in this last week. Maybe the odd UK high-street bookmaker which is perfectly logical too.

Sensible move Mario

See…not all PLC’s think alike

InactiveHow is this being handled with the players? I.E. is Wagershare sending them emails in advance of this occurring, or do they just get notices when the accounts are closed?
