    Excellent points dvs

Pierrek I am sorry you are getting such a baptism in fire. It’s a tough thing to walk into as a new assignment, but it can be turned around easily by making a few minor and reasonable adjustments:

    1) Ensure all affiliates are paid all monies due as close to the 15th of the month as humanly possible.

    2) Since the program is administered as one casino group payouts should occur for all casinos when the total commissions due exceed $150. Not when they exceed $150 at individual casinos. Under the present plan I can see where it would be very confusing for the affiliate and make it appear that people weren’t collecting the full amount due them each month.

For example, if my stats show I earned $1500 at Vegas Slot and $140 at Vegas Country and $90 at Grand Hotel I would expect a commission payment of $1730. If you sent me $1500 I would feel like I had received only parital payment due me and become upset. This scenario may be causing alot of the frustration webmasters are expressing. Please correct this so we can put this problem behind us.

I trust if you guys address the issues quickly you can regain everyones trust and gain more market share.

Its probably the administrative costs of disbursing earnings that is creating the $150 requirement. I would let him fix things one at a time since they already have been having problems paying on time and lessening the min payout would increase the workload and compound the problem. Let them overcome the late pay issue, bolster their staffing or whatever they need to do, then once they can pay on time they can work on the $150 requirement. It might be tought for them to pull off both at once. That seems fair to me. What do you guys think?

    Professor,

    I agree with you 100%.

As mentioned in an email I just sent to Integrity, I am already wearing the Sheriff hat, but I still need to get my arsenal in good working order and this cannot technically happen overnight.

Once again, things will change, but you dont have to wait for this to happen or even take my word for it. I will certainly not blame any of you for drawing your own conclusions now and take whatever action you might find suitable, you are entitled and free to do so.

However, I am ready to take on board any suggestions you might have in order to get things right. I am very happy to meet anyone who wishes to have a constructive talk on the program and how to optimize our partnership at the next CAC event in Amsterdam.

In the meantime, I will make sure every issue raised is addressed quickly and as efficiently as the current system allows me to.

As for the baptism in fire, its not a problem. One has to face the music at times, and I wont shy away from taking the blame for whatever has been happening. I’d rather start than leave in a bang.

    Thanks again for your suggestions.

Next time you’re meeting with management, let them know this:

By paying us per casino as you do now, all you have done is make us choose which casino we want to push most. So now, all my efforts will focus on just one of your sites so that I can get some ROI… the others will suffer.

You have effectively insured that most webmasters who like getting paid will pick & choose from your casinos…

You’re going to get less exposure this way, my friend.

This policy of payment per casino continues to exist, even though their own terms and conditions as WELL as the FAQ said $150 per ACCOUNT.

Pierrick has apparently changed the FAQ now – but it appears that no one but himself works at Vegas Affiliates, and that no one but him can make the decision as to whether to change the policy or not.

    I am very disappointed.

I just joined VA this past September and since October was my first month I still await to see how they handle payments. I surely hope that I will be paid according to my total program earnings :D and not per casino.

I have also discovered that they deduct progressive fees a bit differently than other casinos might. Hopefully things get worked out because thus far it appears their casinos are liked by my visitors.

What makes you say that? I forget the young lady’s name since I talk to Pierrick, but I saw her in Vegas…

    Hi Spearmaster,

As mentioned to you in our email correspondence today, it still is my intention to change this limit.

We are currently working on updating our system, most of you must have noticed the modifications on our reports already.
A lot more changes are being worked on right now.
This issue will be dealt with once the technical and operational conditions to its success are in place, and we are getting there.
I do apologize for the delay.

The $150 limit issue was raised a while ago in this very thread, and the fact that it hasnt been addressed yet doesnt mean it has been forgotten. Spearmaster, I do understand your rightful frustration on this delay. I mentioned to you that if I could have done it earlier, it would have…

As for FAQ and terms and conditions, my mistake, I havent checked these for a while and assumed that this was clearly specified when I took over. Spearmaster pointed this out to me today, and I changed FAQ and T&C accordingly. A newsletter will be sent to our members to emphasize the current policy and prevent confusion until we change the system.

…it appears that no one but himself works at Vegas Affiliates, and that no one but him can make the decision as to whether to change the policy or not.

Thank Goodness I am not working on my own at Vegas Affiliates anymore…I would have ended a nervous wreck :D…Some of you might already have dealt with Yagmur, our customer relation manager, who has been working with Vegas Affiliates for the past two months. As for the limit policy, it is quite clearly something that needs to be organised strategically and technically in conjunction with the casino group, so unfortunately I am not sole decision-maker on the issue.

Please believe in my commitment to see this matter resolved once and for all. We have been undergoing some major changes to our system during the past 2 months (readability/user-friendliness of reports, speed of information retrieval, etc…) and so far got positive feedback on the modifications. This limit issue, and some more, notably the payment timeframe, are yet to be addressed…I’m doing my best to bring these changes to life. The momentum is there, resolving these issues will be a result of the current work we are doing on the program.

Thanks for your understanding, and please contact us at [email protected] if there is anything in our reporting/program/policy you think could be improved (apart from the issues mentioned above who are already on our list) This is the perfect moment to voice your suggestions.

    Hi Pierrick,

    I have a question:

Are the losses from one casino carried over to the others? I noticed in October that, when a player at one casino won a tidy sum, the total balance reflected this loss. I take this to mean that all the casino stats are grouped together, and so a winner at one will likely mean an overall negative balance.

    Thanks

    Hey Fergie,

    Good question:

The current system does actually prevent negative commission due to player wins from affecting anything else than the commission for that specific month, and that specific casino.

As much as a negative commission for one month will not be carried over to the following month for any casino, any negative commission for a casino doesnt affect your earnings for any of the other. They are indeed considered by the system as independent merchants, and therefore not affected by each other’s performances.

I believe you retrieved the October figure information from our earnings report, for all casinos together, which does not represent in any way the individual payments that will be made by each casino. If selected as such from the drop down options menu, this report gives you a snapshot across the entire group, but the real commission calculation takes place in the payment report.

This October payment report hasnt been completed yet and figures do not yet display, but I will contact you by email when its ready, within the next 2 days, and we’ll have a look at it together.

I am satisfied with Vegas Affiliates.

And I would appreciate payouts of more than $150 for the sum of the commissions made of all VA merchants.

    Thanks, Pierrick, and good answer!

The website upgrade is wonderfull – everthing loads so much faster.

I haven’t done a lot with Vegas Affiliates, but I’ve seen a great conversion rate with a limited exposure. Time for me to step it up.

Yes Pierrick, congrats on the redo of the stats and the website. It is really fast now and such an improvement!
