one thing we would have to watch for is a casino offering a crap online deal, but just using the casino portals to spread their brand name…also furthermore, get this bonus online $10 FREE no deposit, but come to our casino and we will give you a %%% bonus in person. The latter we see nothing for it.

the only reason online casinos give out free money is to entice players to play. this is done for several reasons:
    1. get new users who haven’t played online to try to play for “real” money
    2. give out freebies to attract new people

land based casinos never give out free money because they already have an environment that attracts a lot of players including:
    1. physical halls and presence of people
    2. free alcohol
    3. barter deals like free food and hotel rooms
    4. shops/experience/glitter/etc

my point is that land based casinos will never ever give % bonuses for deposits. just not worth it for them at all. it is only done at online casinos because they gotta keep the players coming and retain them. its much harder in an online environment to keep players then in land based venues.

Hmmm, but if they run online casinos they will need to try to be competitive online.

If they don’t give bonuses, they don’t stand a chance, the players will go to those who will.

Online presence will be a learning curve for Vegas, they will likely be hiring or contracting entities who are currently doing well online to help.

The familiair names and legality will quite likely draw a lot more people to playing online, but these players will soon roam the net looking for better deals.

I don’t think that the current online casinos will suffer, quite the opposite. Those who hang in there should see increased revenues IMO, and Vegas will have to compete. The number of online players will surely increase a lot.

no doubt about it Dom. when US land based casinos go online they will need to give out bonuses since the nature of an online casino is a little bit different from land based casinos.

i was just speaking about land based casinos above. i don’t see them giving out bonuses on deposits in the next foreseeable future. probably never…well…never say never…
