…they compete against Random Logic for the same affiliates…
Funny thing! Just THIS morning, Random Logic contacted me about promoting Pacific Poker! LOL! Now I KNOW they are ALL watching these threads… ain’t that right, John??!!!

…I’m just a little surprised that Shai was “fired” but is still contacting you.

To be completely fair, Yossi never said “I FIRED SHAI”. When he originally wrote to me way back in 2002 about my issues with Shai, Yossi was very “sorry” for my troubles and told me he was sending the check immediately.
Then, in regards to Shai, his wording in that email was something to the effect of his ‘personally taking care of the issue’ with Mr.Kauffman and he could ‘guarantee me’ he would never deal with Tradals affiliates that way again. The implication was certainly there. But now, from what I know of Tradal, it’s easy to see it was just fancy footwork (also know as a “song-and-dance-routine”) to get me to shut-up & go away.

InactiveIntegrity, I admire your courage. I would probably have chickened out after the second e-mail

BTW is it possible to promote Cassava properties on an affiliate basis without using Tradal?

InactiveThanks, Spinoza…
Trust me, there is no BIG RED “S” on my chest… I just don’t like being told what to do by people like this. Maybe it’s a result of being a born & raised Texan! 😎
As far as promoting Cassava, try BeFree (which I cannot get to work right) and Random Logic (according to Spear).

InactiveGood to know others are behind you 100%. This kind of thing more than irks me. Sh*t, we work hard for a living, we know it is a grind and accept it but getting ground down as well?
A little bit of memory jogging recalls one Shai calling me about 3 years ago regarding promotion of Tradal’s biggest commodity CON, which I had promoted a year or so previously.
Basically, I had promoted them big time and had a HUGE amount of downloads and VERY few conversions, only to discover they had a huge problem with their installer for anyone running via a proxy server. This took 3 full days to get to the bottom of after several emails from site visitors experiencing install problems. It was head bending for me as I had to try the install on as many operating systems and proxy/non proxy based servers as possible to ensure I was right.
I sent a full explanatory email detailing the problems experienced by an estimated (then, by my own reckoning, 20%-30% of downloaders) to Tradal. This was, basically costing them, and me big bucks.
No answer. Resend. No answer. Ditto. Ditto.
A year later cheerful Shai phones me and wants me to promote Tradal.
I gave him an earful on the proxy problem and he promised to provide me with a direct download link that would bypass this problem…just promote us and I will get you the link tomorrow.
Well, tomorrow never comes, I lost MANY players (and also one that never showed on the stats), Tradal lost me and it taught me a lot insofar as to never ever undertake the work an affiliate or marketing company should do themselves.
Recently we undertook a small advertising deal providing premium positions on a months trial. They were unhappy with the conversions from A+++ visitors. It is our fault of course.
I would never in an instant go tell them to go fornicate themselves. They do it well enough without any suggestion from me.

InactiveWell, Yossi, there you have it.
We all know you guys monitor these threads… and I hope you know that other affiliate managers do as well. Your true self is exposed.
Maybe you will learn what I learned a long time ago: Don’t write stuff in emails you wouldn’t want others to know… like, say, the fact you use threatening “scare” tactics in place of common coutesy. Maybe that’s been Tradals problem all along… coupled with the incredibly narcisistic business philosophy.
This is not about webmasters vs. affiliate managers, it’s about the way business is done. The internet has made our globe into one big currency exchange, and while your tactics may work well for you in your part of the world they make you all look like very small people from where I stand. And I hate bullies.
To wrap this thread up and move on (unless you choose to perpetuate it with legal action), it should be PAINFULLY obvious to you that I could easily gather enough information to defend my position and statements that Tradal should be avoided.
My suggestion to you is step back and figure out damage control… how to heal your image. Maybe start by not stealing from your partners while hoping they are so stupid they won’t notice. And remember that just because ONE person stands up to you doesn’t always mean they are alone, that you can intimidate them, or that they will back down.
In the end, all you did successfully was prove what I put on my website, and then perpetuate the disgust which already existed for your company. Congratulations.

Guestyep. I was giving Empire a chance since I’ve done okay with party poker, but I was signed at Empire thru tradal and not thru tradal with PP.
PP made me decent income last month. While I’m very, very cautious about anything to do with IGlobal, I cannot argue with the results I saw last month.
anyway, after reading this and your threatning emails; I’ll be taking down the empire links.
Not because you’ve done anything to me (that I know of, other than fail to produce any income to speak of) but for all the times I was screwed by others like you and your business tactics.
When will aff managers / programs learn that if they’d just treat us fairly and pay us the amount that was agreed upon in the beginning; they will ride the top of the heap in all the important areas;
– profit
– reputation
– and though this may sound extremely foreign to you; the dignified good feeling you get from knowing you’ve treated people right, and with the respect they deserve for having put their trust in you and your program.haven’t any of you ever wondered where you might be at if you’d played things fairly? What kind of incredible % of net gamblers might an honest program have gained by now if they’d been in business as long as you have?
I would have to guess at least 3 times, probably many more times as well-off as you are now.

InactiveQuote:I would have to guess at least 3 times, probably many more times as well-off as you are now.EXACTLY. Too late IMHO. There are many aff programs willing to work with affiliates that recognise the income producing ability of an honest and ongoing relationship with webmasters.
Basically be straight up, pay on time and you will receive.
It is a simple fact. If we can’t trust you then why would we expect our customers to trust you? That applies to every program out there.
Some deliver some do not. We deliver and sometimes not.
But, the affiliate programs that have helped us in a myriad of ways, from promos to weekly contact maintain prominent positioning no matter what.
Why?
We TRUST THEM. Paid ontime, everytime and the affiliate managers view the relationship as a business partnership.
This is a business and a partnership.

GuestHi again
We TRUST THEM
nuff said on that, but important enough to emphasize again.
**************************
I feel it prudent to state for any programs just starting up; that IMHO you likely won’t jump off to as good a start as those programs that have chosen to cheat their partners. – that stands to reason. But in case you weren’t around back when; I can name program after program after program that fit into one of three categories
1. Scumbag reputation – always were cheats
2. questionable reputation resulting in a stunted growth – started out okay then went to cheating when the greed took over / started out cheating and then realized just in time they were going to be doomed and they changed their ways in order to persevere but now face an uphill battle
3. excellent to good reputation – you can’t please all the people all the time; but these programs have a high rate of successful portal webmasters praising / promoting them at all times, and 99% of these have never had a serious breach of confidence with the majority of the afore mentioned webmasters.
group #3 enjoy a steady flow of promotion, profit and growth.
group #2 are straddled with a burden to say the least
group #1 now are resolved to almost entirely buying their traffic because no webmaster worth mentioning would have these places in any kind of prime money-making spots and most would not touch these places at all.
Not too mention the fact they go out of their way to warn their peers about these places every chance I …. er I mean … they get. That’s right, if you are scumbag then I am your mortal enemy and the begining webmaster’s best friend.
Real people with real families are on the other end of your cheating ways. They depend on this income because it was rightly earned per the deal YOU offered. If you didn’t want to pay that much, you should say so and let us decide whether we will accept your offer or not; but don’t be a liar and a thief to us.
Word spreads fast in this business between those that truly make a nice income for the casinos. Screwing the wrong person can have far-reaching and long-lasting results.
the same is true for treating them right.

Inactivei have always tracked my numbers very serious and have not trusted the results from tradel.
