bosshoggsMemberHey Rak:
You have a great list going… Question: Why are you putting energy into MySpace? Have you seen a great return? Am I missing something?
Also, you should really consider StumbleUpon. Quick figure for you, as of August 2011, StumbleUpon generated 48% of all social media traffic. Whereas Facebook generated 40%. Pretty impressive numbers seeing as how StumbleUpon has 15 million users compared to FB’s 500 million.

Gettinto MySpace really just to generate link juice for my sites. If I can get my articles and content out to social networks, and then have it pass on link juice, or traffic from those sites to my sites then great.
As far as engaging my social audience, I do that on a website level with forums and community, and facebook..
I find it hard to believe that stumble upon out performs facebook in regards to social media traffic.
I already stumble upon for my sports betting sites, pushing news articles, reviews, faq sheets.
In what way, through what actions does stumble upon out perform FB?

chazMemberIs that list for actually socializing or building links? I am not much fan of social networks but I did catch a webinar on social media was either from CAP or IGB.
I personally use digg and stumbleupon, and sometimes delicious. Reddit is another big one, but I have logged like once.
The rest are g+, facebook and twitter that again I use for link building and not really to participate social activities. They did recommend participating, but I can’t imagine spending 3 hours in such sites to talk to people, when I’ve got work to do.

bosshoggsMemberGreat insight! The webinar you’re referring to was conducted by CAP and 2 of the co-founders of Blue Glass. (If anyone wants to check it out, just go here: How Affiliates Can Best Leverage Social Media to Grow Site Traffic.)
Question for you- how is StumbleUpon & Digg working for you as far as generating more traffic to your site? Or are you mostly using these channels for networking opportunities?

chazMemberTo be honest Stumble started generating visitors since this Friday, after I built up over 100 stumbles myself. Around 50 visits per day since Friday, I guess people started seeing me or something, can’t really say.
Digg, I just digg my own stuff for links, and haven’t seen anything so far from it. I remember the webinar really made a comment on stumbleupon and that it’s the one to pay attention to.
