InactiveI agree somewhat with BB1. I do think that the bonuses we pay for, the progressives in some cases and all the extras that come out that we don’t even know about surely make up for this.
What if it was reversed? What if the player won for 6 months straight, then finally one month you check stats and you’re making $5,000. Then at the last minute on the last day of the month the player won enough to put you back to $0 or negative, do you think the casino would pay you since it was at the last minute?

InactiveI see players riding the roller coasters at casino rewards all the time but in all when the smoke clears I want my share fair and square. I never forget about the players that do not get tracked and are lost in the digital surf. For those lost souls I want it all, and when I get it I ad that right at advertising to get more …
Not sure if that is greed or good business. I am not here to make big money, I am here to make a big profit ; )

well to quote Yali from CC, somewhere between 5 and 20% of our tracking is lost.
Not to mention what some casinos shave, take, justify, shuffle, alter, negate, forget, out right hide from us and lose because of outdated tracking software . That % grows quickly … no use feeling all sentimental or even being to true or loyal I have learned this lesson well and I am sticking with it.

GuestWell at current rates; a person can’t afford to be too loyal.
what I consider loyal is when I contact my aff manager and say hey! how come I’m making more with programs 2 and 3 when you guys are getting 60% maybe as much as 70% of the traffic.
instead of just moving that program to the back a bit to make room for the new leader.
give it a month or 6 weeks to see if things don’t get better
and then let the blade fall and hope nobody you like or prefer gets caught under it.
too much sentiment in this business will get you where it got some of these folks that tried to push oddson when Coins changed over; and all they got for it was a lot of disappointment and I imagine they’d sent 3 months worth of otherwise goooood traffic into trying to recapture the “good ol’ days”.
ps
I know I tried a littlle at first and before I knew it; I had sent them enough hits to have landed 3 players somewhere else.
I can’t afford to do that for very long.

My sentiments exactly !!! I agree with you whole heartedly as I last night dropped the blade on a program … They have been draining me a long time playing games. I got very few big players and when I have had traffic increases have not performed to the levels the other programs were reaching.
I like the aff manager, they have been helpful but the program and casinos are just not bringing the revenue and profit needed for the spots they have been given and requested. …
To top it off there roller coaster has only went down the last few months …. I might as well ride the merry go round and I hate merry go rounds … I like roller coasters because they go up and down and usually back up again and up again ….
Bottom dollar all in all this is business nothing personal! I need a healthy profit to compete for traffic, otherwise I might as well try a commune and live with a bunch of other hip people in the hills of California …. You know the hills that no longer are full of gold.
My opinion is that being to loyal with these companies will get you run right out of business. I fulfill my promises to these companies and for the most part it is them that break deals with the it converts like mad BS and other affiliates are doing great right now lies. That other affiliate may be a spammer from hell for all I know. As well if you do not take the money and run they may be having a merchant account problem next month and the high roller will have to move to another casino that will take there credit card which you have no aff marketing with. Never assume they will not win 5 K in one casino and then not withdraw and spend it at another casino along with another 10K they deposited as well. When I go to Vegas I play the strip not Monte Carlo, Not Bellagio, Not just the MGM Grand ! I play at circus circus, new york new york, I play at old casinos in the old down town vegas I spend winnings on the girls in crazy horse or Cheetahs and then back into another casino … Think about it if you have a favorite casino … that is not and absolute, you may stumble into the next one on the strip and drop coins in every slot machine on your way to the restroom or bar. Its just how gambling works and especially in vegas and on the web …

GuestMan I hope we aren’t letting the blade fall on the same aff manager’s program.
because I like mine as well but I’m gonna have to do something. they’ve been a good producer for a long time but last three months have been pretty bad if I compare the hits sent to profit made column with that at another casino.
I keep hoping things will turn around but you’re exactly right; I simply can’t afford to keep them where they are now.
I’m not dumping mine but I have little choice but to move them to a spot a little further back. I have a lot of links to change in the coming week(s).

GuestOh god! I’m dying to know who y’all are talking about. Who’s getting the ax?
I agree with everything you’ve said, by the way – about the sentiment. Business is business, and nothing personal, but if they don’t perform you just can’t waste money on them.
