GuestHave two Int, that’s a good thing unless you had a lot of dough owed to you.
if aztec is straight with you about it; odds are very likely that next month you’ll see commission of around $7500
you heard it here first

ps.
personally I have trouble trusting that bunch, but if you don’t at least see commission on about half that amount that was won this month;….. Dude, they are probably screwing you hard.
every single time I’ve ever had a whale win big at end of a month; I’ve gotten it back the next
its the little players when they win big; that tend to keep it.
2 cents

InactiveYea I thought about that…
I dunno if I’d feel right about taking the commissions on a negative wipe-out of THAT much money…
I trust Casino Profit Share, tho… This whale has made me about $19k over the past three months. If they’ll pay me that, then I don’t think they’re screwing with the numbers.
And tonight, I only lost about $1,200 in commissions… it will hurt, but not as bad as losing $5k to $8k…

Guestmaybe I’ll give them another shot.
Its hard (at least for me) to get myself to give a program a second chance because of the extreme cost in not only ad money, but time spent adding them back in…. with the possibilty of having to take them down again in a month or two.
I know what these casinos are capable of doing; what to expect in as far as the roller-coaster ride one sometimes faces and even what to expect as an ending to one of those rides;
so after giving a program a try, I feel that I’ve given them plenty of chance to show a profit.
and if a casino don’t make you money, there’s absolutely no reason to have it around. Its at best dead weight and at worst; stealing your good players away from casinos that DO make (don’t cheat you) money.
And I remind everyone of my sad story about what happens to affs that don’t keep their garden weeded meticulously and in a timely fashion.

GuestWow, I’m impressed that the stats are updating like that. do they change like that every day?
not to those extremes of course, but I mean are they always changing?
most the programs I am with might change every day if I’m lucky, and majority of them …. if I’m lucky, will change every few days. Which I feel pretty certain that with as many players as I have accumulated over the years, that they should change every day at every program I’ve ever had in prominent positions.
People are creatures of habit. There is no getting around it. When it comes to “getting their fix” they are even moreso: and everyone need look no further than themselves to know I am right about that.
whatever it is that’s “your thing”, you do on a consistent basis and usually most people have a “favorite” place to do it.
even if you had an endless supply of places to do “your thing”, most people after the initial rush of choices; would settle down to doing it at the same few places and trying some place new every once in a while on a whim.
so it stands to reason that sheer numbers alone would / should have by now; 4 or 5 years going; that I should have found a few people for every casino that are “loyalists”.
why should online gambling be any different than anything else?
I know a lot of people that have been going to the same place doing the same thing for a lot of years, and their habits are no more expensive than what your average $20 a day spender would go thru in a month; its just that they are paying for their “habit” in different ways, whether it was to lay down 5k on a bass boat or a 3 times a week bowler….
So to not see stats changing everyday at some place where I’ve built up good player base; makes me begin to suspect them and I’ll start sending traffic some place else.
I’m in this for the long run and if my partners are truly honest with me; I will be without a lot of days (in the future) where I am worried about eating/staying warm the next month.
I am fortunate also to have made quite a few friends amongst my players and though they might not send me notice of every time they play; I can usually get a good idea of what they’ve been doing when I talk with them every once in a while.
Usually in a couple month’s time an every day type gambler will have accumulated at least one or two good stories to tell if there is anybody willing to listen.
……. and Baby! I’m all ears.

a good example is this bowling league I joined that is made up of about a dozen old men that play once a week in the morning while all others are at work.
almost like clockwork – this one old guy can be counted on to tell you about what he won that week while playing at the boat (i live 20 min from about 3 boats).
note- I’m trying to get him to play online but so far he’s shown little interest. What’s funny too is that he plays the vid poker machines. Now I ask you, what’s the difference between that …. and playing them online? lol.
gamblers are so quirky.

However, in the “real world” it takes effort to get dressed & drive to your favorite night spot… plus everyone can see you when you do. Getting comfortable in a place takes time…
In the “cyber world”, you’re already in your comfort zone: home. And the anonymity of surfing… and the ease with which a player can go from casino to casino, tends to have me believe that “comfort” and “loyalty” are not as prevelent in their decisions on where to play.
Certainly, it’s a factor. But I think the bigger factor is how they are treated at any given site. If you piss them off… *click*… bye!
==================================
By the way, the whale not only played back the $30,000 but lost almost another $10,000 on top of it….
Now that’s a whale, baby…

InactiveI think a lot of players have one or two favorites they keep going back to, but otherwise follow the bonuses.
They are designed to be tempting and they are.
We are all stuck playing that bonus game – I don’t really think it is such a grand concept for us. It is designed to take players from one casino and bring them to another.
So we all work like hell trying to entice players to the casinos we promote – and we take them away from ourselves and from each other because we keep bombing them with incentives to go someplace else.
With retention bonuses, not acquisition bonuses, we would have a smoother time with a lot of players sticking to the casino of their choice.

GuestInt’s in for a ride.
I don’t know if I can take watchin’ what it is doing to you. just look back on your posts; do you really want all those ups and downs in your life?
just have that program move that nasty ol’ whale over to my account and I’ll weather the storm for you Buddy.
Lets get right on this so you don’t have any more upsetting moments like that first post.

No kidding
I just feel that — as business partners — if a player won, say $10,000 at 11:50 pm on the 31st, then played it all back (plus their $200 deposit) at 12:05 am on the 1st… it would be a bit cheap of me to expect 30% of $10,200.
If CPS has paid me well over the past months, then I know they are reporting fairly. I mean, a cheat would certainly keep the whole commissions if they would keep any.
I feel that it would be in my best interest if the program sees a spirit of understanding and cooperation on my end… not just what they could interpret as “affiliate greed”.
If the above senerio actually happened and I INSISTED to be paid the $3,060 commissions, it may actually encourage an honest program to re-think their position.
Just my 2 cents… off the soap box now…

Guestwell to quote Yali from CC, somewhere between 5 and 20% of our tracking is lost.
that’s considerable even at 10%.
So if nothing else; this part of things helps smooth-over the other.
but I agree; if I were making excellent bottom line month after month; I’d have no problem saying to the sponsor; here; take a little of this back.
……. that’s as good as I can be. Am I bad?
