I wasn’t finished it appears to me cpays would like to outsmart the search engines. Win cash for for blasting through google’s filters and going against their guidelines. Is cpays trying to recruit people like this? most disturbing!

I could achieve what cpays seeks in two days, but it violates SE policies so I would not. Unethical, immoral, deceptive, malicious, and just plain irresponsible on cpays part to encourage such a contest. greek39

Could we simply notify Google of the contest?
    Forward them the email?

I’m sure that they’d come up with a swift reaction to the contest – or else be looking carefully and squash each “trick” as it was demonstrated?

    Worth a shot ?

Just received this email today from the good fellas at cpays. I echoe TheGooner’s response, I wonder what google would say? ” outsmart the best search engines on the Internet”. I quess we all better start looking for scrapes, spam and content theft.

I fail to see the honesty in this contest. I will have to post this at the google blog.

This could easily be done cleanly. Most of us are SEOs so we outsmart the search engines for a living.

Of course it can be done cleanly. But thats not in the rules.

In the past a guy won based on copying from my site and riding on my keywords, and then he got hired by cpays to run a site for them.

    Not making me happy.

The contest would be totally fine if it had clauses excluding blackhat techniques.

I got this mail this morning. CPays emails get picked up and marked as being spam through my hosting companys system, which says a lot to me really.

I kind of assumed they would automatically disquality anyone who stole content, and stuff like that. Guess not.

I could only wish this contest would be done cleanly. I can already see the effects of this contest. Look at http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/more-theft.13317.html . When I look at this closer I found many blogs being scraped and redirected with apparently no aff tags all to cpays properties.

No aff tags? seems to me cpays will be making gold off this one. greek39

At the end of the contest, on July 1 2006

At the two check-up points during the contests (February 1 2006) (April 1 2006)

Do they mean 2007 or is this contest already over? :banger:

And after reviewing those contest terms and conditions you would have to be a complete idiot to take part in it.

that contest is already over and I havent heard a word – affiliates of all breeds came out for this one, ya know crooks, thiefs, stalkers – every form of dishonesty.

This is off the topic but deals with cpays. 2nd page of 97 million in google
    goes directly to cpays casinos:

Free Casino Online, Casino Bets Online, Casino Card Game, Online …Sometimes I can’t afford to put the cobble-stones! online casino reviews … online casino reviews His father remembered how she couldn’t have to get here! …
    cool.juicypornhost.com/casino-28.html – 11k – Jul 27, 2006

if you remove the /casino-28.html be careful as I did that and apparantly am on a database of some sort that has been spamming me ever since.

I can tell you that if I ran a casino aff program and some yahoo wanted to join whose domain was juicypornhost.com……..well they could just:dafingers themselves and the horse they rode in on

A new contest begins August 1, 2006 and ends February, 2007. We have been modest with cpays. greek39:devil:

It appears that dealing with people that employ methods that will hurt the entire industry is more profitable than dealing with honest people. And shortsightedness prevails.

All the bundling and carrying over of negatives doesn’t seem to help to match ill gotten gains.

I am starting to think at the very minimum they should be forced to make a choice – honest advertising methods or dishonest methods.

Perhaps if google sees that the industry does not support this they will relent and vigorously police gambling again.

Why didn’t you guys show up and say, yes, we’ll add the ethics guidelines to the contest? Why?

That speaks louder than any statement you could have made.

    Hello everyone,

Firstly allow me to assure you that CPays does not approve of spam of any kind, as you can see in CPays homepage and in the terms and conditions. Any affiliate that chooses to use it will be dealt with accordingly.

Just to give you an example of our policy here’s a short quote from the terms and conditions:

    3. Your Rights and Obligations

    3.1 Linking to CPays

“…We will terminate this agreement immediately if there is any form of spamming or if you advertise our casino in any other unauthorized way…”

This said, following your posts we are looking into the SEO competition more closely and hope to add the necessary amendments to its terms and conditions as soon as possible. I agree with you that CPays is part of the online gambling industry and as such it should uphold its standards, and I assure you that we are laboring on a daily basis to upkeep the existing standards and to set new ones.

As soon as the terms and conditions of the competition are corrected I will post the relevant parts.

    Thank you for you comments,

Tell that to one of your largest affiliates who is currently inundating google with hundreds of pages of crap.

Just a search on the big gambling related terms and you will find out who I am talking about.
