Yo.
We’re still under attack but we’re keeping our head above the fray.
We’re not down, we have a new IP for Rushmore. From what I understand it takes 24 hours for all DNS servers to update, so this is the reason why some of you might not see it yet.
Once again, thanks to all the support we’ve received from everyone, on and offline during this trying experience.

That’s what I thought because I asked someone else to check the link and they could access the website
Hope you resolve the attack problem 100% soon….
March 26, 2008 at 6:10 pm #764231AnonymousInactiveAny update on this? My links currently go to a 502 Bad Gateway error page.
March 26, 2008 at 6:20 pm #764233AlnetMemberWe got a ransom letter from the attackers yesterday saying qwe had 24 hours to send them cash or they’d strike back 4 times harder.
They can go to hell as far as we’re concerned.
Rushmore does not deal with terrorists.
We’re almost entirely absorbing the attack this time, it’s a little bit shaky, but I understand that most players are able to get in.
I also understand that within a few days, we’ll be 100% secure from all future DDoS attacks. So, seriously, there’s nothing to get excited about.
March 26, 2008 at 6:31 pm #764235AnonymousInactiveHaving fortunately never been in the position you’re in, I have no idea what can be done legally. Is there realistically anything that can be done to bring these asswipes to justice?

March 26, 2008 at 6:41 pm #764237AnonymousInactiveWell both C-Planet site and Rushmore Casino are opening here
March 26, 2008 at 7:22 pm #764243vladcizsolMemberAre they Russians, Eastern European or Chinese? By now security team should have a general idea where the attacks are originating from.
March 26, 2008 at 10:54 pm #764264AnonymousInactiveit is useles to track them as far as i understand, the attacks are automatic and work in such a way that there are thousands and thousands of infected computers around th world with a specific trojan.
If you track the triggering source than that is a different story.. it would cost too much and yield nothing depending were they are located
They send the command and you get attacked from all the machines and as a result the server will go down unless a hardware firewall is in place to filter out the traffic from getting to the server.
Imagine how much walmart.com ebay.com and all other sites get hit…

casinotime wrote:Imagine how much walmart.com ebay.com and all other sites get hit…Quite often I’m sure. Did you hear about the attack that Estonia received a little while back? For political reasons. What a world we’re living in, eh?

March 28, 2008 at 11:59 pm #764507AnonymousInactiveI think this stuff happens all the time – Probably one of the most interesting conferences I have ever been to was “combatting cyber crime” – There is crazy shit happening all the time behind the scenes.
I was talking to the guys at Betfair and apparently people always try to hit them during massive events like Cheltenham – The problem is many casinos (not Betfair) pay because it is just eaiser to do that at the time – Problem is this doesn’t solve anything in the longterm and they keep coming back
March 29, 2008 at 12:26 am #764508AnonymousInactiveOnce you pay and give in you’re dead meat. The money is too easy after that.
Good going Rushmore.
April 7, 2008 at 7:06 pm #765098ezybetsMemberThese things happen all the time and its run by the organized cyber . they are like real world gangster gangs having access to thounsands of PCs around the world where they launch their attacks from. They are hired from time to time to launch an attack on a specific target.
These targeted attacks run by professionals are getting more and more popular and more dangerous. These are not hackers who do it for fun, but they do it for profit. Clients usually pay between $20k-$500k (depending on the target and goal) to these gangs to launch an attack on a specific target.
I work in security profession and i always tell people around me to install and use anti-virus and firewall software and most importantly dont download or click on links not coming from trusted sources. -
