Today is Yom Kippur, Friday is an off day.

Tuesday, 14 October 2008 is Sukkot, no work then either. Basically, nothing will happen from their end before Wed. Oct 15, if then.

Nice. I guess I’ll have to tap into my savings to pay my bills this month.

Hey Jackpot graphs, You know what lame excuse there using now is that Ecocard probably rejected payment. I swear they sent me email saying that if you dont receive payment by the 10th it’s because it’s been rejected. Can you belive this Bullshit. There is something else going on behind the scenes here. I honestly think they don’t have the money to pay affiliates. Something happened that there not telling us! I’m sorry but this has gone to far and I’ve had enough.

I hope they still have money, but you never know. Casino Profit Share went under earlier this year, so I guess anything is possible. Maybe Rewards will come to the rescue again….

I use QuickTender to receive payments from BS, and for the past 5 months, I’ve had to deal with delayed payments. I’m thinking maybe I should switch to wire transfer. Does anyone know if Brightshare deducts a wire fee? If so, how much is it?

    Hi all,

I just wanted to say that I went thru this a couple maybe three or four years ago with JF and a player they had sent a check.

While it did cost me some money because I run a guarantee … I was always confident Brightshare/JF would get the player paid and they did … it just took a while.

I believe that it will be that way again. I know that doesn’t pay this month’s bills but perhaps it will take away a little of the stress.

Lloyd I’ve got faith in ya. Perhaps something good could even come from this which I can point out an easy place to start and that’s with the check thing. Lloyd that kind of set up where the check is cash is a recipe for disaster and it might be viewed as lucky (for Brightshare) that this happened so that you can find a better way before (as someone mentioned) you end up losing a whole batch of checks that went out.

Think about it. Thats a lot of money somebody would have to eat and it would be a mistake to think that you’d get many of your affs back if they got stiffed for even a month’s pay … and that’s not because we’re not loyal but rather because we’ve got our backs against the wall and cannot absorb such a loss.

Affs would be understanding but regardless of how understanding they might be … they simply could not financially justify continuing to promote an entity that as wonderful as it has been for so many quality years … might yet again the next month have the same thing happen again.

Now is the warning. Now is that time I just described only you’re getting off easy because instead of it being a few affs it could have been a whole slew who had checks get lost/denied payment/whatever unpleasant scenario … when that check is enroute from half way around the world its almost a surprise every time it makes it …

To be in the situation about needing the check back before you can issue another one … man that’s just really a loaded loose cannon on a ship heading into rough waters.

I really hope the powers that be will be seeking a better process because surely you can see what i’m talking about this being a huge recipe for disaster and the saddest thing about it all would be that we’ve got one of the few good guys being shone in an unflattering light and on the other side the innocent affs who simply want paid for the job all ready done.

There’d be only a lot of losers if a scenario like I described were to happen.

Affs, those that have other options than receiving a check … you all would be the only other party who should deserve to lose your payment (wait, let me explain) because just as Brightshare will deserve to lose all those affs if a batch of checks were lost and my scenario did happen … because if they weren’t aware … now they are so it would be negligence … in a sense … that they didn’t act and find a better way now before such a thing happens.

So are the affs, who now are aware that using the check method to get paid when there are other options available is not a good idea … so if things go bad for you next month then you are guilty of negligence (in a sense) because you knew that these people had trouble with the check payment method (for this month) so now is your time to act and switch to another method even if it means signing up for some kind of banking solution you had not previously wanted to pursue.

If Lloyd’s hands are tied then at least those that can help make a difference … should try. I have an alternative payment solution (not the check method) and I have not had any problems so I can attest that if you have another option available then it probably is the better bet.

Good luck to all. I very much feel your pain as I know if I missed a payment it during these current times that it would be a very rough month.

I still have not received my August commissions from Brightshare. Is today yet another holiday? Must be nice… :santa2:

Sukkot No work permitted on Oct. 14-15. Work is permitted on Oct. 16-17-19-20 with certain restrictions.
Sunset of October 13 through sunset of October 20

It seems they could have worked on Monday, as it was not part of the holiday until sunset. Also, Sunday was a workday, so QT transfers were possible. Mine wasn’t done, however.

However, Next Mon, Tue, and Wed (Oct 20,21 22) are also holidays Work is not permitted!

Hoshanah RabbahWork permitted with certain restrictions. October 20

Shemini AtzeretNo work is permitted. Sunset of October 20 through nightfall of October 21

Simchat TorahNo work is permitted. Nightfall of October 21 through nightfall of October 22

I don’t understand this holiday thing. If I go to holidays, I do everything what needs to be done before I leave everything behind.
I have a company beside gambling sites, and if we didn’t provide services during Christmas as usual, I’m sure we would get some nice lawsuits as New Year’s “gifts” from our clients.

I had faith in Brightshare because many CAP members were talking about them in superlatives, but now seeing all these complaints I am not so sure if it worths to promote them.

I agree with BB1 about checks in 2008, checks are last century payment options, but the problem is not just checks here because Engineer doesn’t get paid to his QT account which is fully electronic, payment consists of only pushing a button… sneaky2.gi

Guys please respect people’s religious restrictions on work during holidays. This is a serious issue for people of certain faiths and you cant dismiss it. Also be aware that Brightshare is located in Israel so this may present mandated work restrictions by the Government.

    Hi Lou,

I, personally, do respect religious traditions and holidays, one of the reasons I posted this info so members will have some idea of the calendar as it relates to their own issues.

However, it should also be noted that the casinos make money regardless of anyone’s holidays or religious traditions. So it’s somewhat “disingenuous” to call people out on this, when the source of all our income marches on.

Working around that are issues that have been ongoing for a couple of months now. They should have never become an issue in the first place. That is truly the problem here.

Had payments been made in a timely manner over a month ago, and had I not received a check that was returned to me, none of this would be an issue now.

It’s not surprising that we’re upset by continuing delays and stories of payments not received.

I would also add that those employed at Brightshare will be paid at a suitable time. We only ask for the same consideration.

With all due respect Professor, please don’t dismiss our point! The point that I see is that there is a program that is CAP certified and hasnt paid it’s affiliates. This forum should be backing us up and helping us get our payments especially since I’m sure CAP would have dropped Brightshare if they missed a few payments to CAP!
This is one of the forums (sites)that affiliates need to be able to completely trust and feel that backs them and not whether we our politically correct which by the way I didnt think anyone really said anything that was out of line.

    Anyway just my two cents..

I agree being paid in a timely manner is extremely important and I receive affiliate payments from them just like you do, so obviously I want the cabbage sooner rather then later. But we have to be sensitive to peoples religious requirements. At the end of the day God ranks a little higher in terms of overall importance to a slight delay in payments.

Ok now that the holidays are over and this is no longer an issue I would hope Marcia and Lloyd can get our payments sorted ASAP.

LCD I did NOT dismiss your point of wanting affiliate payments processed. I asked that people honor others rights to observe religious holidays.

We DO work out issues like payment delays, but we do it the right way and we do it professionally. In this case I believe the delay was caused by the holiday. As administrator its my job to keep discussions to the point and work towards resolutions thats what I was doing and I dont appreciate your assertion that I was dismissing people wanting to get paid.

I just sent an official request to Lloyd and Marcia for a resolution and response ASAP. I am sure we shall have an answer shortly as Brightshare has always been responsive when we have contacted them in the past and I think they are a good group to work with.

According to Amateur’s post I didn’t think the holidays were over. Maybe I misunderstood his post.
