InactiveIsn’t that what got WPT sued and finally had to settle? FWIW that looks like a network wide rule too.

thepaidplayerMemberHi Alexross
Would you care to tell me why that is such a problem when we are paying for the EPT package?
Why should people avoid Pay No Rake?

total jokers. AVOID imo. as a poker player I think this is disgusting smallprint imo. shame, as the site is tiny and has bugger all players, so I smelled a lot of overlays/dead money on there. ah well.

InactiveI am confused but isn’t that the norm with live poker? I mean when you sit at a live table and your being video taped did you think that they would bleep out your name and black out your face? Not being cheeky mate just confused and maybe I misunderstood your problem.

thepaidplayerMemberHi Alexross
I have read the T&Cs, lets just look at what you saying again:
By participating in the promotion you grant APN the right to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation.
So with that line or any of the T&Cs can you tell where it states:
1. We are stopping them from getting a sponsorship deal?
2. How does this term state that we own the player?
All this terms states is that we (APN) would like the option to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation, so if we want to send a news letter to our network telling everybody how great player X did at the EPT we can and we can use his picture, this T&C in no way stops the player from taking a deal with another site.

you’re not paying for anything shaun
you’re taking rake from a player who wins their own package on your site. they are giving YOU money, not the other way round
you would do well to remember that fwiw.

It seems we are both open to public debate.
Yes you are correct players do pay use money but lets say a player wins a stage 1 and move to the final they are not being credited with cash the win gem stones so in theory a player could win a seat $0.10 + 0.01 and work they up meaning the only paid 10 cents for there seat and in this case we would then be paying for the package, and with Pay No Rake we do in fact give the player money up to 100% on a daily basis.
I do not want to argue with you but you must understand I am very loyal to my merchants, if felt that they had published misleading information I would get them to change it at the drop of a hat.
Regards
Shaun

neophyteMemberThe winner(s) agrees to wear APN promotional items if participating in APN Poker competition prizes. For the EPT Monte Carlo, the winner will be required to sign an agreement, agreeing to wear APN promotional items for the duration of the EPT final. If such an agreement is not signed, then the winner will forfeit the prize and it will be awarded to the next most successful player.
LOL, Classy. So the player qualifies and has to suffer the indignity of looking like a donkey satellite player. Give the player the option to wear your apparel IMO, what’s with all this heavy handed stuff? I have qualified for the Irish Poker Open with paddypower and they sent me a promotional apparel goodiebag.. lots of satellite players choose to wear them (I chose not to), some don’t… (You aren’t going to play a hand the same way against a satellite player as you might a guy dressed up smart.. wearing that stuff arguably makes you look like an easy target..) same with Bluesq and the GUKPT : another goodiebag w/ branded hats/shirts..
does stars and fulltilt force satellite players to wear their apparel or forfeit the prize? what does the prize have to do with you?
The last line is a joke imo. Just having as contract saying they have to wear your garb is enough.. you can sue them for damages, you can’t make them forfeit the prize lol.
Back to the drawingboard imo.
By participating in the promotion, you grant APN the right to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation, subject to your agreement which will not be unreasonably withheld. Such usage will be for a period of time agreed with you.
This is however a lot more clear, and better imo.

Unfortunately I play poker for a living and your terms were so ridiculous for the player I had to broach the subject.
Try posting them on 2+2, the world’s biggest poker forum and ask the high volume, high stakes tournament players (the exact clientele you need to attract to make money) what they think of them.

I only posted one of your T&Cs there, yes. I wanted to hear more about paynorake from other affiliates..
I didn’t notice the other ridiculous term (you forfeit your ept prize) until I replied to your amendment of the original gripe I had

It would be interesting to see what the highstakes tournament players make of your terms.. here’s hoping they read the smallprint.

thepaidplayerMemberWow Alex I have to say thanks for the warm welcome to CAP.
So let me just get this right, according to one of your posts today you said that you added PNR to your site, and then you post on 2+2 trying to slam me, you then post on CAP trying to slam me, kind of weird.
Did you read my reply on 2+2?
If so care to take me up on my offer?
Shaun

umm why are u taking this personally? This was about your T&Cs. which were a joke. You amended one of them, and It’s cool with me… Incidentally my post on 2+2 didn’t “slam” anyone… I pointed out how crappy your T&Cs were.. I didn’t write them… am I not entitled to discuss this on a forum of rakeback affiliates? that’s why I posted the same thing here in general chat.. to see if people thought your terms were “cool”.. Clearly they aren’t since you have edited them…
as for “taking you up on your offer”, you didn’t post an offer as far as I can see, you did address what was annoying me though:
Q. Predatory terms and conditions for their EPT satellites?
A. I have looked at the terms and conditions for the EPT satellites and I would not go as far as saying they are predatory, so I have just edited the terms and conditions so they are now clear as day.
This thread is boring me now.
