I don’t think PartyPartner has this completely figured out yet.I don’t think PartyPartner would cut off affiliates all together, that would not be in their best interest. They can’t afford to lose market share or branding that affiliates supply.
One more thing to remember, no one worked with iGlobalMedia three years ago because of there bad reputation. It’s the same company, new name. I hope they don’t go back down that road again.

InactiveCPA, cost per acquisition pays the affiliate once for referring a player; what the casino does with that player once they get them is there business. So I don’t understand your point of view that you should be paid twice.

No, Party loves their affiliates and gives them great support they also transfer over affiliates for properties they purchase. Nope they wouldnt cut us off all together!

AXL, what if you refer a poker player to Party, and that player decides to play at the casino instead, is that worth that same as a poker player?
What is more valuable, a poker player or casino player?I’m asking that affiliates be paid accordingly, that’s all.

InactiveIf you had a CPA with Amazon, and the customer bought a book, then came back later to buy a DVD, would you be entitled to a 2nd CPA? Probably not.
Or if youi had a CPA deal with a travel company, and a customer booked a hotel room, then came back later to book airfare or a car rental, would you be entitled to a 2nd CPA? Probably not.
Seems simple to me. If you don’t like the terms of a CPA deal, don’t promote it. But unless they tell you they’re going to pay you a CPA, then they don’t pay it, no one’s been “screwed”.

Probably not.You can get a CPA deal with travel companies, and YES, if your customer buys one plane ticket, and comes back a month later to buy another one, you get the CPA again. You get the customer for life.
However, Party poker situation could be viewed either way I suppose. Of course you’re right Randy, we could all just switch over to Rev Share and not worry about it. But, I don’t want their low rev share deals or be forced into a rev share deal when there are better casino rev share deals out there.
Right now Partypoker pays me for each poker player I deliver, now they want to pay the same CPA for a poker player and casino player. I think this is asking too much from affiliates and I’m not ready to accept it.
But, it appears Randy is willing to accept it. To each there own.

InactiveI didn’t suggest that you (or anyone) switch to rev share. I never even mentioned rev share in my post, and I didn’t say anything at all about whether or not I was “okay” with their CPA deal.
I just pointed out that they’re not really “screwing” anyone as long as you both agreed to the terms of the CPA deal. If you don’t like the terms of a CPA deal, you shouldn’t promote it. Same as with any business deal.

InactiveBut aren’t they in essence changing the business deal that affiliates have had?
The deal was, X amount of dollars for each poker player you send. And now each player you send is actually a poker and casino player.
So wouldn’t that make you feel a little “screwed”?
Like you have no choice but to switch to rev share or stop promoting party poker? When forced into any corner, because of a bad business deal, I feel screwed. That being said, I do respect your opinion Randy, that’s why I posted. Maybe I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill.

InactiveI dont think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill….

I think the issue comes down to understanding…. I for one NEVER understood that their system would be a combined one that my Poker PLayers would have instant access to casino games for which I COULD recieve revenues. HAD I understood that, I would have had the opportunity to change FROM CPA to RevShare back some time ago, and therefore position myself to take advantage of the change….
i dont feel that opportunity was given to affiliates…..

InactiveOne thing that I don’t see posted and yes Randy you need to realize.
POKER is against YOU and ME
CASINO is against the HOUSE or PARTY CASINO and the house has at least a 60% edge, so you do the math.So the affiliate IS getting screwed – why in the world do you think the affiliates choose the CPA?
Get rich quick schemes DO NOT work. You show me one that does, and I’ll Show you a liar –
You show me one that does and I’ll show you their bankruptcy. The veteran affiliates can attest – we saw our share of those casinos and they’re no longer around. No one is that big where they can go it alone, especially Party Poker.
We should get paid for both – period
I don’t and won’t so I’m dropping PP
I don’t need themand why do you think P
