affiliategodMemberHey Prof,
Sry to hear of your pain. Had 3 of my wisdoms done at one time with just local and sorry to say, I guess I wasn’t in all that much pain cause I went to my Mom’s for spaghetti dinner that night. Although I was pretty dam hungry after not eating for about 2 days prior. No pain killers either. They haven’t invented one that has helped me, yet. Yea, have been given ones that make my head a bit fuzzy but, I still feel that pain. Don’t need fuzzy head ontop of pain.
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. A co-CAPer refered me to this post today. I haven’t been around as I was in the dentists chair the same day you were.
Don’t know if you recall an earlier post were I stated I needed major restoration on my teeth as a result of a car accident. Well, with the help of an “Angel”, I started it. I will be in the dentists chair on average twice weekly for the next 4 months. Got me 3 temp teefs today and MAN do they look perty! Woohoo! Only 12 more to go and I’ll be better then new.
Don’t get me wrong..I never have looked like an ogar. My teefs neither. They just got a lil slammed around and need some fixins. Never had a problem gettin a date. Just unfortunately, none that I have wanted to date.lol
Hope you are feeling better now.

Guestmy experience was so bad I almost didn’t come in this thread. I did put it off until I knew the damage was done and came in to see if you survived. I KNOW you’re not feeling well.
heavy drugs and sleep my friend. I can hear you in your sleep now … “FOR THE LAST F#rt$ING TIME! YES IT IS SAFE!”.
Island man is right. they’d never have got me back in that chair a second time.

vladcizsolMemberThanks BB1. I am doing much better now.
Let me reiterate to anyone needing dental care or anyone who is afraid to go in for a check up or who just figures “nothing hurts, why mess with it?”.
GO TO THE DENTIST AND GET WHATEVER IS NEEDED DONE NOW. The old saying time heals all wounds doesnt apply to dental issues, cavaties dont heal they get worse, crowded teeth get impacted etc… The longer you wait the worse the damage and the more extensive the repairs your gonna need.
Yes, getting work done is not the most pleasant thing in the world, but its not the worst either. Get it done.
I fell into the “nothing hurts, why mess with it” category and I caused myself a lot more grief then I needed. You can be sure I am going every six months for a cleaning and check up once they get done with the repairs I need now. (I still have another cavity to fill plus a dental scaling.) If you are unfamiliar with scaling its a grusome affair where they clean and scrape your teeth UNDER the gum line and its a multi visit torture session… Dont wait till you get to that stage.
OBTW I only skipped two years of going to the dentist and this is the reward I got. I know many of you out there have gone for FARRR longer… Drop the Chalupa and go to the dentist.

affiliategodMemberFrom experience although not 100% my fault. Just waited too long expecting car insurance to pay as they should. But……
Neglecting your teeth: $12,000 and counting
Pain you will be in: Free
Regular visits to your dentist: About $100 twice a year
Healthy teeth: Priceless
