InactiveFirst, is this Vegas Poker Casino a part of the Vegas Affiliates Program? If so, good question as to why a new casino is released with no banners and no warning to affiliates, unless it is to cut out the middleman? Another casino group did this awhile back, although what they did precisely was send private emails to their VIP list of customers (translated: big depositors). Maybe someone here with alot more experience than me can tell me if this is a common practice? And if so, what is everyone’s opinion on it?

Inactiveyeah maybe he can tell us, but I am afraid this is the start of a new trend, think of all the money they save by sending the whales the link and cut out the affilates.

InactiveGood point Bonustreak but think how many whales they miss out on when we cut the advertising to their sites.
These marketing tactics only work in the short term. Marketing is expensive and affiliates can provide exposure with no risk and no initial outlay. The good programs know the value of affiliates, you would think the rest could see that – long-term, it costs them dearly.

InactiveThey did the same with Vegas 7 – this is standard practice for them.

Well I guess that answers my question. Thank you Spearmaster. Personally, I don’t agree with it, but that’s just me.

InactiveThe good news here folks is that when you link to the casinos via your affiliate link the casinos do not load using frames. I was worried that they might have been, but have verified this is not the case.
I was also informed that http://www.oldsamuraicasino.com, http://www.floriditaclubcasino.com, and http://www.grandcasinovenice.com are older casinos which were around prior to Vegas Affiliates being created. – so I don’t feel as left out as I previously did.
I’m not a member at any of these casinos but Id assume they must be cross marketed which might leave me feeling cheated a bit if my players are being bought off so-to-speak by sister casinos where I can not earn a percentage.

InactiveHi guys,
Vegas Poker is indeed part of the Vegas VIP lounge group of casinos. Vegas Affiliates represents some – but not all- casinos from this group. As mentioned to Arkyt this morning, the Vegas VIP lounge group has informed me today of their decision not to promote their new property, Vegas Poker Casino, through affiliate marketing.
VD752, Floridita Club Casino, Grand Casino Venice and Old Samurai Casino (and Colosseum poker, not mentioned) are also smaller properties of the Vegas VIP lounge group. They have been in operation for years, and it was the group’s decision not to make these available for affiliate marketing when Vegas Affiliates started, as they wanted to concentrate on their most successful brands.
Spearmaster, the release of Vegas 7 Casino at VA was delayed for technical/operational reasons, and nothing else. As soon as it was possible to market it through VA, resources were made available to our affiliates. I did communicate with many of our members at the time on that issue, as some of you will surely remember. No conspiracy or pattern there.
Arkyt, As soon as I read your post on Saturday, I ran some tests on the Grand Hotel Casino website, and it loaded fast and accurately both from Europe and Canada. Your Grand Hotel account shows click and download activity on the day of your post, as well as the day before, so I suspect it only affected your display, maybe as a result of a cache/cookie conflict, following the popup problem you had. Let me know if everything works fine now…
Thanks.

InactiveI would prefer if they were not crossmarketed with VA properties.
If I send someone to VA properties, I want them to stay there, not go to where they do not make me any profit.

Technical/operational reasons seem a bit hard to believe, considering it was around 4-5 months after the opening before it could be marketed by affiliates.

I have to agree with that, been there done that with another group of casinos and the same excuse was given to the affiliates.

InactiveIs anyone here a member of one of the VA casinos? Are the non VA casinos cross marketed to you?
As I mentioned above this would be a problem with me as players that we referred to Vegas Slot Casino for instance could be stimulated to join Floridita Club Casino thru marketing and we wouldn’t get any credit for the referral.
If these non VA casinos don’t want to share a percentage they should give a CPA at the very least for players that affiliates referred to other VA casinos. This is of course assuming that cross marketing and luring players to sister casinos is taking place – I don’t know that for a fact.
