Yeah, us too .. gone. So much for the end of April.
I have already contacted support demanding my remaining advertising account balance. Just made another deposit this morning. As usuall this is the way Overture treats it’s customers. Please post here if you have problems recieving a refund. I will keep everyone informed as soon as I find out. If I do not recieve a credit back to my Visa debit card the first of the week I will take action by contacting my bank and reversing charges.
Yahoo/Overture are going to loose millions of dollars this year. First they drop the OPs and now the online gambling sites. They are obviously been advise to steer clear by their legal deptment. Lycos recently pulled online gambling sites. I had been advertising 3 sites at Lycos till they closed my account.
My site is now back online at Overture. They must of got alot of complaints including mine. The e-mail did state the end of April. Someone must of got excited at Overture prematurely.
Yahoo in the past was the worst company when it came to customer relations. Talking or emailing anyone there was like talking to a 13 year old, this was especially true when it came to forking over money. While overture was never quite as bad they were far from the best.
These two companies merging into one, with the market share that they have is not a good thing. The service is bound to get worse. On a good note we can be relieved that they wont be making any more money off of us.
Now let’s see if I can get a refund for my deposit from last week…. that should be a good laugh.

You gotta figure that Yahoo is going to take a sizable hit from this. Online casino advertisements have to be a fairly big % of Overture’s overall revenues.
Can’t say that I’ll miss dealing with Overture; their editorial policies were confusing and aggravating to say the least.

These terms seem mostly sportsbook related. Are they taking casino terms down now too? I didn’t get any notice about some terms I’ve had up for a long time.

All those casinos and sportsbooks that Integrity listed have requested that Overture not accept any ads using their trademarked name. I recognize all the names. This has been going on for a while. Most trademarked names, if requested, are removed from the “approved” keyword list. The sportsbook terms are the ones that seem to be new (unless you dont have any sportsbetting on your site and submitted those terms).
