The speed Jetset chastised you for spreading such a rumour, lends me to believe Micro is not leaving the US market anytime soon.

When it comes to Micro, I take Jetset’s input to be authorititive.

More likely that crew would just be upset the word was out and would be out trying to tidy things up. They want to get as much out of the country while they can without dealing with rumors that may potentially damage that desire.

Im sure we can all agree we dread seeing any truth in this rumor for that would surely be the end.

Microgaming or any other program for that matter doesn’t have to make the decision to pull out of the US market. The funding sources for US players being stipped down to virtually nothing has already made the decision for them. So they can continue to say that they allow US players when they know damn well that those players couldn’t play anyway.

The title of this thread is “in a few days” and it has already been more than that.

What’s the point of these speculations?

All software groups are discussing all their options at this time, in regards to payments and otherwise.

Let’s hope they all find a solution all of us can live with.

Meanwhile, it would make sense to support them and their presence in the US and not undermine it with wild speculations.

As of the time of this writing, no decision to pull out has been made by Microgaming or any other major casino software still remaining in the US.

We can look forward to statements as soon as they finish discussing all the aspects of the current situation with their lawyers and bankers and I hope they will announce that a new payment solution has been found and endorsed.

The longer it takes, the more assured I am that all options are being explored to the fullest. That is a good thing.

None of us can expect them or any program to break the law to get payments sent. One of the poker groups sent email today that asked for patience while they try to figure a way to pay people.I have full faith in Microgaming to find a way to work through this .At least the groups located in Canada ,God bless Kahnawake LOL

    …Jetset chastised you

Sorry, reading that just cracks me up for some reason! :notify:

I said it ws a rumor… many people were talking about it… I made it clear it was speculative…

What am I supposed to do? Sit on that information? People out ther have a right to be prepared, so long as I don’t try to cause fear or false information.

There was nothing wrong with reporting the information as I did… and I’m happy that, so far, Micro is still here.

Where did this chastisement take place?

Exactly, so long as you presented the information as rumor, which I think you did then you have done nothing wrong but inform the people. Good job.

It’s not like you said you were selling your website, sparking newbies to sell theirs; then returning to your business as usual.

Microgaming excluded other programs can be funded thru epassporte. It may be wise if you have a mailing list to let your players know of this method. Hopefully Microgaming will accept epassporte in the near future. Also you can have your commissions paid to epassporte and withdraw them using their ATM card.

You do whatever you feel is necissary old bean, i’m easy until I think you are withholding or lieing. Today I ask questions, tomorrow I have the answer from you whether I like it or not, Hence I don’t take the piss out of you that often ;)

I gather you were supposed to go ask Micro before you reported a rumour as a rumour.

Sounds like wishful thinking to the point of fanboy status to me.

Personally, if you heard a rumour from multiple sources, I think it would be remiss of you not to mention it…

Well cuz I got a big mouth:whoa: I have to throw my 2 cents in here. I made a post asking for help last week about a rumor with Click2pay…and felt I was chastized too. Personally, I really appreciate being able to come here and hear what other people are hearing. I run a website/forum and also work an outside job 12hrs a day and don’t have the time to talk to people to much about what is going on in the industry. The first thing I do in the am, is stop by here to read what people are hearing. I thought that was what this format was for.

LOL…I didn’t run out and shut my site down after reading this thread…I just said “hmmmm interesting” and filed it. However when someone posted that they couldn’t get there money off their Neteller card …I ran right out and got my funds withdrawn and apparently just in time.

Kat you are most welcome to discuss anything industry related that you want and if anyone objects I will chastise THEM.

Obviously we dont allow flaming or unprofessional behavior or just out and out bashing of a member or program, but we are here to discuss what’s happening in the industry and I DONT subscribe to that Pollyanna crap of “Oh lets not say anything that might scare someone” We are all adults here.

EVERYTHING is a rumor until its confirmed. EVERYTHING. If we have to walk on egg shells before we post what we are hearing then something is wrong.

I applaud J. Todd for sharing things he heard. Thats what we are here for…

Yes! If you think there is merit to a rumor then post the info, let us know it’s a rumor.

In a lot of cases of people bitching, it’s a case of killing the messenger. Folks see a rumor, get upset and react, mainly to the news, but that reaction often comes with a swipe at the messenger, not necessarily an attack on who the person is (but it often feels the same). Let’s not get too stressed out that we make CAP an uncomfortable place to visit.

These are tough times for a lot of us, let’s try to make sure we don’t let our frustrations lead to being mean/nasty on CAP. we are all dealing with different news, realities and ideas, our main purpose here is to help share the knowledge and have a place to hang with people in our industry.

It’s us against the world, let’s not let our society decline to their level.

    yup!

Todd keep up the great work! I personally seen how much Integrity loves shooting his videos, he has so much enthusiasm when it comes to filming of the video, I was impressed with the whole procedure and I think he has found his calling.:drink:

Good, then I will say this much..

Jetset will either chastise you or patronise you by telling you how to run everything kit & kaboodle style. Not a webmaster by the way, a hack and an Internet Gaming Consultant all rolled into 1. Annoys me intensely actually and that is not so easy to do normally.

As the head of the apcw (assoc of players, casinos and webbers) – Mr Todd is answerable to the player, webber and casino and no one else.

The Jetset knows how I feel about his presence and conduct and those that support him need to take a good hard look at what they are potentially dealing with imho.

I have seen his work talked up here – “infopowa is like a Reuters for gambling”.

    I will say no more.
