Hello to all Casino & Poker masters!
Some of you know me from the past when I ran riverbelle.dk (2001-2003) and allstraightupcasinos.com (2000-2003) plus some more sites between 1999-2003. I’ve been in the business since 1999, but took a rest from it in 2003, when the Danish betting law prohibited me from living in Denmark and make money on gambling. Here at CAP my nickname was AyCaramba and at GPWA is was and is ASUC. Im still not active in the business as an independent but…
Today! Im among some 262 danish pokerplayers, that have started a pokersite called Mermaid Poker, our software is Bossmedia. Our goal is to create a pokersite that’s more than just a downloading station of our software, but a site created by players for the players. It will include a forum, Vip club, Pokernews, Poker leagues and a club we call the Golden Circle Club, where it will be possible to win seats at WSOP or WPT or other million dollar tournaments. 3 Rounds are played each month with the 10 best of each to meet in a final once a month. Winner of the final gets a seat to a choosen upcoming tournament plus a Golden Circle Bracelet. The Golden Circle Club starts in February.
In Freeroll tournaments we plan to hold tournaments with much larger prizepools seen in any other pokerroom and with smaller entrants. This month we are running $10.000 freerolls every thursday, the first was played Jan 12th and the winner got $2400 in first price. Max. 1500 Players with moneyprices to the best 100. How many pokersites offers that high freerolls with such small participants?.
Signup bonus is upto $200 FREE each month, how many pokersites gives your customers that much and continuesly?.
Now this is just to give you a small idea of what Mermaid Poker is trying to archieve, We are not modest, Our goal is to be the best pokersite in the world.

I wish you the best of luck, but I don’t think I can get sign-up for a site with a name like “Mermaid Poker.” Get a new name, I REALLY think it would help.
i looked at your site.. but.. the countries that cannot play there seems huge..

PokerCS: If you knew a little about Denmark, you would know that “the Little Mermaid” and Hans Christian Andersen is synonymous with Denmark. So if poker players think of danish pokerplayers or pokersites, they are going to think of Mermaid Poker. In some european legends Mermaids are said to grant wishes, and arent we all wishing for the “Nuts”. I can’t think of a better name for a danish owned pokersite, and Im sorry you don’t like it..that’s all. But thanks for wishing us luck.
mystysue: I don’t KNOW what you are talking about. There are no restrictions to country’s. EVERYBODY can play at Mermaid Poker.

I was just going to post the same thing. I already promote 2 Bossmedia sites and like the software. The only problem with promoting Bossmedia sites is the customer support goes directly to Bossmedia who seems to alienate my customers. I generally have to intervene on my customers behalf with the affiliate manager to resolve their issues. When problems arise who should I contact?
Wow, what work to put up a banner. Do you think they’re going to implement a banner generator code for us affiliates? To post a banner I had to click on the banner I wanted, then click properties, add the img=code with parameters, then go fetch my campaign URL and assemble it all together. Just copying and trying to paste the banner wouldn’t work.

Okay, I AM picky and I know this.. I already have an account at BOS.. sooo I log in, to see who I’m signed up with, seems its Celeb poker, havent ever promoted them, but appearntly I’m a registered affiliate (not really rare, something caught my eye, I signed up, got distracted.. and hadn’t made it back.. )
Let me say first on the BOS site there is a HUGE list of excluded countries for Celeb poker.. I havent found Mermaid poker yet.. still looking..
Next.. In my search for Mermaid Poker.. I get to this sentance on the BOS site.. “Cathy Roberts currently don’t have any sub-partner’s!”
Like I said above I KNOW I’m picky… I am looking for a newer company to promote, but the scarey thing with newer poker companies is finding professionalism.. I’ve had enough trouble in this department lately..
All of that said, I could not find any place to add Mermaid Poker to my agreement with BOS …

I signed up myself yesterday, because I was curious to see the affiliate area and what they are offering the affiliates, stats, marketing etc. I must say Bossmedia hasnt evolved since I began affiliating in ’99. Granded you can see more different stats now, but that’s basically it. All Mermaid Poker’s marketing material resides on the website. I guess that’s the way with all Boss..aff. Bossmedia really needs a company like Referback or Casinorewards(examble) to manage all the bossmedia sites. When signing up I didnt get an affliate manager signed to me, all it stated was my login info and if questions arised to reply to advertise@mermaidpoker.com. For now all I can advice is to write to Mermaid when problems arise. As I stated in my first post Im not involved with daily management as Im only a stockholder, but Im going to contact them soon, to find out how interested they are in getting affiliates, because if it means allot of hazzles to the affiliate…then who would bother….

A sub-partner is an affiliate that signed up under your link. Apparantly you have none.

It’s not logical, but all I can say if you want to promote another bossmedia site besides Celeb. I guess the only way is to sign-up through the website itself. Do you get two accounts with Bos..then?, I really don’t know. I would be gratefull if you would sign up through my link, because then I could see if the d… thing works.

I still think there is many good reasons to advertise MerMaid Poker as we are a company of poker freaks with allot of ideas…I just hope we can do better when it comes to the affiliate program.

First of all she was making a comment that your site uses the word “dont” instead of “doesn’t”
Second, I have like 8 accounts at boss media, u must sign a new usercode everytime I dont thnk you can combine accounts b/c they have diff % depending on the site
