I also brought back my family a 4 day hangover!
    The wife loved it.

I like the USB drives (2GB from Rushmore last year was great), mints, and the foam balls that some groups hand out. My cats love to play with these balls on our wood floor. :)

I already have a few bottle openers (for beer bottles as well as wine bottles), so I don’t really need any more of those.

The t-shirts and backpacks / bags are nice, but I can’t really use these since they have gambling-related branding on them. The t-shirts make great pajama shirts, but the bags usually end up being donated to the Salvation Army.

I don’t play cards, so I usually either politely decline when people offer me cards, or I donate those along with the cloth bags…

Any kind of consumable thing is great — chocolate (LOVED the Playshare chocolates a couple years ago), mints, and good-quality pens are always nice. :)

My old mate Tim Pindar is notoriously tight fisted and always forces me to get him pens from referback as he insists they are simply the best pens he has ever used.

I second that, these pens rock! I am always eager for them!

I enjoy most things. I also remember the Playshare chocolates fondly.

Whatever happened to mouse pads? I had to go buy one recently. Used to be they were always around and they give good exposure, you see them all the time.

Anything computer related always works and gets seen a lot. Tshirts – always too small. Always. And I am not the only big gal out there.

I use the bathrobes from Chipleader and various Referback toys are within view of where I work.

I used the mouse pads from the convention in my hotel room. That was really useful as the table was made of glass and the mouse didn’t feel like working on it. I really liked Chipleader’s sports bag (I think it was from Amsterdam), PokerStar’s USB chip, everyone’s pens (I’ve got enough to write an encyclopedia). I also liked Bodog’s quality T shirts from previous conferences (they didn’t show up this time did they?)

Some trinkets I think would be great to have in future conventions:
    – Coffee mugs (can’t have enough of those). They can even be collectibles if they are changed for each conference.
    – Beer mugs
    – Booze flasks (so you can drink on the WAY to the party too!)
    – Toothpicks
    – Bonbons, candy on sticks, chocolates, etc.
    – Can coolers
    – Lapel pins
    – Shopping vouchers
    – Alarm clocks (so we can actually wake up the following morning…)
    – Large magnets (like calendars)

    Hope that helps!

Do you remember those large vibrating ‘massagers’ from referback?

    maybe from CAP London ’08?

Thing is…, they were BIG and very noisy

how WERE you supposed to use them?

I have been to many a conference and I have to say the PlayShare guys were giving out an amazing item this year. The Zippo lighters, not those cheap wannabe Zippo’s, but the real deal.

888 also had great water bottles which I have sitting in my fridge at the moment at home and the Full Tilt Pen this time around was the best pen at the conf.

But, one thing I was looking for when I went to this conference is a decent gym bag and my hat goes off to the guys at CAP for the awesome bag they were giving out! All those side pockets, zips, cell phone holders (2 of them for the affiliate manager with 2 phones). :hattip:

I just wish there were more flash drives as those get used like crazy and I always seem to lose mine or the girlfriend steals them from me…

I remember the chocolates CasinoShare was giving out in Vegas, the year with Mikey the Monkey, I loved it! I got an awesome pen from Online-Casino.com as well which I still have. Me and chocolate, bad mix… but I just can’t help myself!

I have to agree on the bag thing… When the CAP guys brought me one over I thought ‘OOOOh new gym bag’ – unfortunately I haven’t been back to the gym since I got back to use it, but when I do, it will definitely go to good use.

I don’t think bags can ever go bad to be honest.. I saw some people running around with backpacks on.. cant remember who was giving them out though. I remember thinking that I wanted one…

Re the Mints: I had to ask someone else how to open those mints… then when they showed me how simple it was, I really thought I was an idiot. The mints in the guitar with Elvis on the top were much easier to open.

I’m a big fan of the poker chip lighters too.. Wouldn’t have minded a Zippo though…

I managed to also score myself a 888 mouse with the dice in the bottom… Good thing too coz my mouse at home shit itself last night.

    LoL!! Did it shit dice?

Regarding the chip lighters! I still have 2 of those from Amsterdam CAC last year and did not manage to see them this year so I didnt get one :(

So, if you send me the lighter, I will send you the Rummy backpack. Deal?

Did anyone get a pair of those clogs? I had forgotten about them till I saw a pic earlier – They must have cost a fortune to print and ship

I didn’t for the fact that they would have never fit into my bag. HOWEVER, I did see a one of those half nekkid girls painted like cards walking around in a pair.
