December 6, 2006 at 7:50 pm #718097AnonymousInactiveDear owldeath2,
I understand your frustrations and together with RTG we hope to have a solution implemented shortly.
As of LAST WEEK a post was made advising all, we are aware of the issues and are working to resolve them ASAP.
Another post will be made when a solution is implemented, I would rather provide facts than fiction.
System Migrations can be complex with many variables that can disrupt your normal day to day business.
To compensate affiliates during this transitional period, commissions have been increased to 50%.
More than ever this is a time for us all to pull together, had Mainstreet followed the example of many other operators and not accepted US Players, it would have been business as usual.
Accept for the hundreds of US Affiliates & Players who would have been negatively impacted by that decision.
However we did not accept the easy road and felt a short term challenge will benefit all parties involved.
Many thanks to those Affiliates for your patience and patronage and rest assured things will be back to normal shortly.
Sincerely,
Chris Ludwig

As i can understand your problem, you have to understand that although you have given us a 50% commision, it does us no good if we can’t login and get new banners with our new aff. id????
i have been waiting and waiting, and i know i had the same problem with another affiliate program and it was fixed in 2 days, they just changed the number of letters you could have in your login.
But now with your casinos, i can’t see how my old banners are doing, and i have no new banners, so i am losing all the way around!
sincerely
pat chapdelaineDecember 7, 2006 at 11:22 am #718192AnonymousInactiveI wonder how much income most affiliates had that were NON U.S. at Mainstreet? Since that’s the only income they would have now anyway, had they not decided to change software.
I know most of my players, probably 99% of them were from the U.S. and this was the only decision that would have made me happy.. switching software brands to allow U.S. players. For that I am very appreciative that they, at a moments notice practically, decided to switch instead of staying with Playtech which would have meant losing nearly all of my income for sure.
I wish this was all worked out already and systems were all running as expected. And if I thought the reason for the problems were because they were corrupt or they simply were ignoring the problems and didn’t care to fix it.. I’d be very upset. But that’s not the case. If there’s technical issues transferring from Playtech to RTG, then what can they do but rely on RTG to help them sort this out?
I’m sure this legislation change which caused Playtech and others to restrict all U.S. players has caused RTG a bit of a sudden growth. Maybe RTG didn’t forsee the legistlation and the effect to them, growth in their business, along with these unforseen problems. There’s only so much time in a day.
I just think Chris is doing all he can do. He’s just the messenger anyway, not the programmer.
I don’t understand why the people that can’t login don’t just make a new account to use that link and banners for now? What would be wrong with that, that they end up with two accounts? Most affiliate programs don’t have a huge problems with that I don’t think. The program seems to be working fine with my new sign-ups and things.
And Chris, I appreciate that you stick to fact and not fiction. I wish this was all behind us and I had my old players on my account, but I appreciate and understand this is a difficult situation. Given the circumstances, I think switching software was still the best choice, without a doubt!
December 7, 2006 at 8:08 pm #718277AnonymousInactiveI couldn’t create my new account using my current login info – username was too long. So I did create a new username and have installed the new linking codes without any problems. I figure that once the new RTG system is sorted out I can eventually merge the two accounts.
What bothers me the most is the lack of direction to assist affiliates in what they should do in the recourse. If this were something that could have been corrected in a reasonable amount of time then it would be acceptable. But this has been going on for quite some time which could mean a significant loss of revenues.
Now I am concerned about affiliate payments for November and if they will be on time and we won’t be required to ask for them to receive them. :eh:
As I really appreciate all that Chris is doing and I like the MainStreet program, I do hope that all is resolved very soon. And I must say thank you to the program for their perserverence to succeed while accepting US palyers. Patience is truely a virtue here.
