InactiveHi bpmee,
I’m glad i’m not alone, :withstupi i hate linksmanager too.:dafingers
After 2 wks they told me i could only have 250 links in the first month.
It takes forever to send out their robot while it is crawling my sites ALL the time.Remco

InactiveJanet,
I am wondering if the empty page that is opening by way of javascript is where you plan on placing new link partners or will you be adding more link pages at http://www.casinosportal.net/english/partners-gambling.html

InactiveI have started building a gambling portal a few months ago mainly for fun, I do not make a living from it. I had some reasons to do it mainly to get more webmaster contacts.
I do not use linkmanager on my site I use it on other webmasters sites to submit my own site. I have noticed that many times the page where my link appears has no rank or 0 rank. Note that Google only counts above page rank 3 backward links, example:
Link: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.comI believe the correct method of exchanging links is to contact a webmaster personally and ask for an equal link exchange, page rank for page rank. What do you think?

InactiveI have always hated this program … I have always hard-coded my link pages as I think its better … sure it takes more work, but the rewards are there for both participants.
Unfortunately a lot of webmasters are using it and several are not using it correctly, so your inks 3,4,5, pages deep arent even getting crawled!
I tried to persuade others not to use it, but most took the lazy way out and started using it.
Futhermore, I dont think links are that important right now … its more about content and how often you update that conent. Of course a few good links wont hurt you either

Agreed, but for lower PR link exchanges I think linksmanager is a great time-saver.
As for bandwidth… either get a better pipe or simply block the spider with a robots.txt from all you directories except your link directory.
User-agent: linksmanager
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /graphics/
Disallow: /banners/
Disallow: /secure/
etc…it’s really that simple…..

InactiveHi Breakfast Man,
I believed the same thing and was very happy for a month.
After I checked my recipricals and noticed that 80% of them reside on PR-0 pages, I changed my mind

Now that this topic came up, I am gonna go and cancel soon and keep my $240 a year.
Peace,

InactiveI guess I’m one of the few that loves LM. It saves me tons of time and the links pages are all ranked pretty well I might add. Also anyone linking to me, if I know who you are I will turn off the link checker, I always have in the past, when I was in the GPWA I made sure it was turned off for all members. I only use it on my two original sites…
One of the biggest benefits to it is that I get requests all day long for link exchanges, it saves me from having to go out and look for them.
The only thing I’ve found annoying with it, is it shows that links aren’t reciprocating when they actually are. So when I see one that’s not, I go check it myself instead of sending out that annoying automated letter!Dean and I installed WSN Links many months ago, we have that on all the new sites, and it seems okay. It’s not as good as LM in my opinion but it does the job.

Thanks.Youre linkpages are 2 subfolders below the root. remove 1 subfolder and youre PR will increase. I think.
