InactiveI don’t know about all of the Stardust’s rooms, it has newer and older sections.
I like the east tower – the side that faces the palm garden and pool has nice large balconees with tables and rocking chairs and being a nut for having a private outdoor space I fell in love with these, especially the ones level with the tree tops.
The rooms that come with the balconees (thats how I look at it) are very large and so is the bath. The furniture is outdated and scratched some places. The service is excellent, room service is really great (another thing I value).
You don’t get the hip crowd in there. The casino is kind of old and tired and looks dodgy. Personally, I don’t care, I plan to go out looking at all the other places in the evenings anyway.
If the Wynn is right across from it and has nice balconees, I’ll consider moving over there.

InactiveHey Everyone,
After doing some research as far as best value the Hotel at Mandalay offers the best value for our money. The hotel is rated 5 stars where most of the others are only 4 star rated. Plus: Suite
At 750 square feet, these are the largest standard rooms in Las Vegas. The entry is cool, clean tile. Concoct something at the wet bar, and then settle down in front of the 42″ plasma TV. The elegantly appointed bathroom features marble and granite, and a separate tub and shower. To help you conduct your business, there are high-speed Internet connections and a fax/printer in every room. http://www.mandalaybay.com/home.jsp
For seven nights stay and airline tickets for two the rate is $2946.00 total with a one stop flight. A petite suite at the Mirage is the same price and then you need to add air fare. What are the dates everyone is planning on arriving and leaving?

InactiveHey Rhonda,
I would be interested in the Wynn rates for a small suite.July 12, 2005 at 4:49 pm #668515Anonymous
InactiveWynn does sound real nice.
Rhonda, please keep us updated on your progress with getting a group rate. I have walked through the Wynn Casino and had a few drinks as well and this place is amazing. Plus it is very close. Sounds pretty good to me.

InactiveWe visited the Wynn while in Vegas for Affiliate Summit and I must say, it was spectacular. The indoor areas feel like outdoor areas and it’s very bright and colorful. Warren went to a party up in one of the suites and I hear the bathroom alone was a marvel. It is also very close to the Stardust.

InactiveSounds like the Wynn is definitely the place to meet and hang, especially if it’s walking distance to the conference.
Anyone know the layout and what a good meeting place (bar) would be?

InactiveDhel and I are coming in a bit early to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary, we are staying at the Venetion and they have some good deals. We may move to the Treasure Island for the days of the show as it is a fun casino and very reasonable, if you don’t mind taking a short cab or a long stroll I think you folks looking at the Stardust would really like TI. Just my thoughts

InactiveI am coming to Vegas this year with 6 people including myself, so I had to book my flight early.
We are flying in Sat. Morning Sept 10th and leave Wed Sept. 14th
I have already booked hotel reservations at the Wynn and at The Mirage to be safe. I am going to need to cancel one of the hotels but wanted to get everything taken care of first.
We are really looking forward to seeing you all in Vegas in September.
I am not going to be able to go on any of the side excursions as I have too much work to handle outside of the Vegas trip, but I am sure you will all have a killer time!
Best Regards,
Ben

InactiveAfter 30+ hours of airports and planes I don’t care if the sheets are stuck to the ceiling.

El assures me we are in the newer section of the Stardust and we booked ages ago. I am easy to spot…just look for a grumpy jetlagged aussie!

InactiveHey Everyone,
Patty and I have booked our stay at the Hotel at Mandalay Bay Septemeber 9th – 17th. One of the reasons for this decision is our suite is particialy comped, saving us a great amount of money. The Wynn does not have the dates open and the Mirage is almost triple the cost.

InactiveWell, looks like in Vegas we will always be all over the place.
Now the question is, can we agree on a place to hang at least, so we will know to meet up?
I suggest the Wynn’s as a hangout. It’s new, it’s interesting, it’s nice and it’s close to both the conference and g2e.
