vladcizsolMemberMe and Mrs Professor are hoping to attend (I know, I know, I have to make it on the plane). Assuming we get there we want to stay at any of these:
Paris (stayed there many times and love it)
Caesers (ditto)
Madalay Bay (If cappy goes there thats where Im going)July 7, 2005 at 9:27 pm #668204Anonymous
InactiveBased on last year’s experience, I don’t know how likely we are to end up with a consensus opinion on where to stay. Instead, it’s probably most important to make arrangements to get together outside the organized events of CAC.
Still, there was initially some discussion here about several of us staying at the Venetian. There’s no doubt it’s a fantastic hotel. Expensive, but amazing. (I’m headed there tomorrow actually!)
I’m personally leaning toward Treasure Island, because I’m attending a blackjack tournament there in the days before CAC. That way, I won’t have to switch rooms. However, I’ll wait a few days before starting to make my plans, and see if others here chime in on their plans. I know Dominique has already booked at Stardust. Anybody else have firm plans yet?

InactiveI agree, the most important thing is to have a meeting place for all.
I am not budging from the Stardust because
1. I am attending the conference and it’s just practical,
2. it’s within easy walking distance from g2e and there are never any taxis there to leave with, and
3. I am crazed about the balconees overlooking that peaceful palm garden. (not to mention the pool).Wherever everyone likes the bar best – that’s where we ought to meet. We’ll be going on outings in the eves anyway….
But let’s try to stay better in touch this time.

InactiveI love the Venetion and I think they may have some attractive rates in Sept, not cheap but not there usual $400/nite

InactiveI’m staying at the stardust. The conference is there and that is pretty much the only reason I chose that hotel.

InactiveI will be wherever Professor stays, so all 3 choices sound pretty good to me. So long as it’s not the Stardust, they should just drop the Star part all together. :roflmao:

InactiveI am thinking about staying at The Mirage. It is fairly close to the Stardust and the Mirage is quite nice like Mandalay Bay. I am hoping more people will stay there as well so please do consider it. They even have good rates compared to other nice casinos which was a big surprise.
We had a large group of people last year at Mandaly Bay which was great. Unfortunately Mandalay Bay is very far from the Stardust. The Mirage is pretty close so I think it is the best alternative.
Hope to see you there!
Best Regards,
Ben

InactiveMy choice is narrowed down to the following:
– Stardust: it’s most convenient
– Treasure Island: Close by and looks decent
– Mirage: Nice hotel, decent prices, and Big Fish likes it :p
– Venetian: pretty close and very nice
– Wynn: close and very niceSo, is Stardust as bad as some of you are implying? I stayed at Excalibur last time and it wasnt too bad even though its not a 5 star.
How about Treasure Island?
Anyfeed back would be appreciated.
