InactiveOh my goodness. Kamiel is such a great guy and keeps getting bounced around from affiliate program to affiliate program over and over again.
I hope some reputable program snaps him up and gives him a great job – he deserves it!

InactiveAgreed, he has had such bad luck lately.

I agree, but then again, it’s also an indication of the program as I have the utmost respect for Kamiel so while it sucks for him it gives us a heads up. :cappy:
I hope that he lands a great home as well.

InactiveI just wanted to say that this is totally ridiculous. If they didn’t want affiliates based in the U.S. then they shouldn’t have allowed them to ever register an affiliate account.
Thanks for letting us know about this Bonustreak. I know what I need to do next, pull their banner!

LucretiaMemberpulled their banners strange click/no download conversion anyway.
I will not put them back on again, they failed on trust.

I was informed by Tim the new guy(Ex-Bodog) that Kamiel is no longer there and I suspect that he has left since this place seems to be a bit shady on it’s business practices! I was told that I would not be paid for my EU players that I have sent this place on my EU faced websites since I live in the US. They would like a letter from me stating I did not market from the US. Bunch of crap which we all know and I also have a friend from SA that is not being paid as well but they are running around in circles with him making all kids of reasons up.
Hi Golden Lounge affiliates,
I just wanted to confirm that with immediate effect Locker Room will be taking over management of the goldenlounge.com affiliate program.
I personally haven’t worked with Kamiel previously but judging from all the positive comments on the forums he has done a great job on the programme. I want to assure you that the level of service he has provided in the past will not be allowed to drop and we will look to work closely with you all on an individual basis in the coming weeks and months.
Obviously the main point of concern here is payments and this is top of the list to get resolved immediately.
As a quick introduction both Locker Room and myself have been working in affiliate marketing, especially the gaming vertical, for over five years and we are really excited to be working with you all on the Golden Lounge program. In addition to the management of the programme we are a dedicated resource to our affiliates so whether you need bespoke creative, advice on getting the most out of Golden Lounge or simply a general chat about the programme, feel free to get in touch.
You can now contact us on:

Kind Regards,

InactiveI am not an US affiliate
but I do not like what I read here,
and I also did not get any notification about these major changes at Golden Lounge
pulling all banners todayMarch 9, 2009 at 11:40 am #796733
BullajamiMemberHi,
I just wanted to confirm what the situation is here for Golden Lounge. As I am sure we are all aware there are major issues with advertising to the US. No problem at all if you are in the US and advertising to another market and we are more than happy to pay out to our US affiliates if they confirm their marketing activity.
As this has been done in this case payment is going through today and this will always be the case. In part I believe this issue is a result of growing pains on our part but it is now resolved and will not be an issue for our US affiliates moving forward.
If you need clarification on the above point, or any other, please feel free to let me know and I will be happy to help,
Kind Regards,
Duncan

To be honest, I find this really strange,
Micros do not accept player registrations from the USA
and affiliates know that,
As said already, I am not an US based affiliate but my main site is in english language, since this is still a language which many people all over the world understand, at least that much if it comes to online gambling.
We and and many other site owners are telling the visitors where they may play,
and I did notice that many micros still did not block USA from downloading or registering.
Some even still have the US in their sign up forms. Now you say US affiliates have to explain how they market?
Should not the casino take steps to make sure no US players can sign up?Sorry, but this is my opinion.

InactiveThis is total BS I don’t have to prove to you or anyone else for that matter where I market from! You took my players I sent your way did you not? Marketing from the USA last I heard is NOT illegal. You people need to get your act together without affiliates your dead in the water.

InactiveWell as said already, I am pulling banners
already busy with it
who know what odd ideas you guys get as next!March 9, 2009 at 3:38 pm #796751
BullajamiMemberHi,
again, I genuinely think we are singing from the same sheet here as I still agree with your points.
US based affiliates can join as long as they dont promote to US players – fairly standard practice and our T&Cs will shortly reflect this.
Players from the US cannot sign up and this automatically resolves the main issue here.
Again, genuinely think we are all agreeing, just a bit of confusion at the start.

BullajamiMemberJust as another point, I dont think the title to the thread helps here – a title we didnt create.
We do pay US affiliates as long as they meet the terms which all the affiliates do. We do accept US affiliates as long as they dont promote to the US and seeing as we dont accept US players it wouldnt be in their interest to.
Just to confirm, and I can clarify again if needs be, we DO accept US affiliates and we DO pay our US affiliates. I genuinely think there was simply a bit of confusion at the start and the affiliate in this case is being paid today in full.
As always if you have any questions on this please let me know,
Duncan

InactiveJust a note that Duncan has issued my payment and I will let you all know if it does come and sorry to say that the title of this thread at the time of my post was completely accurate! I was being refused payment and Kamiel is no longer with the company which is a great shame!

What difference does it make if U.S. affiliates promote to the U.S. anyway? If we did, we’d only be wasting our time since your casino won’t accept new registrations from U.S. players. So there wouldn’t be any earnings to even worry about paying, since U.S. players can’t register.
You say you pay U.S. affiliates as long as they don’t promote to U.S. U.S. affiliates, Russian affiliates, UK affilites, none of them can promote to the U.S. right? So why are U.S. affiliates mentioned at all in anyone’s emails or posts regarding Golden Associates and paying affiliates?
I appreciate that Bonustreak’s payment was sent. And I appreciate your pm earlier, and chat on messenger. I still find the whole idea that being an affiliate that lives in the U.S. was ever a question or even mentioned. Where we live should make no difference for affiliates. Right? And if we promote to the U.S., we wouldn’t get any players because they can’t register, so there wouldn’t be any earnings to question. So it does seem like someone was debating on not paying her solely based on where she, the affiliate, lives.
Without Miles and Kamiel there, this is too dodgey to me.
