    Hi Keith,

I disagree on some points but appreciate your input.

    quotas. Bullshit!

    no excuse.

they wouldn’t have that player otherwise.

as for support. IT is essential. you just haven’t crossed that point yet where it is is.

what makes a casino portal … or poker portal … its importance over choosing from a SE….. is that we can reach those above that snotty (and unkown to the sponsor) customer support agent who won’t address a legit complaint.

IF we can’t make contact …… have our issues addressed … we’re no more than an extension of a search engine.

I hope you can see and apprciate my point. It IS valid.

Agree with you that programs should be fair across the board, and things like quotas are a real turn off when viewing the TOS.

We do have to get constant support from AP and UB though. I bug Marcela daily. :wink-wink

Again, my experience with Absolute has been very positive. There have been issues. Definitely not a perfect program, but if I had to work with only one affiliate program, it would be Absolute/UB.

    Hi Again,

Thank you for your honesty. I can see that at this point you have your solid opinion about our Terms and Conditions (along with others). I could tell you that this is a right that we reserve to have (clause) but I know that I’m beating a dead horse into the ground with this one.

If any affiliate of ours expressed interest or had worries about their status and wanted to work on the partnership by no means would we just close their account and let by-gones be by gones…that is not how we operate. Also, you had mentioned some technicalities i.e. an affiliate getting sick or possibly other personal issues, we know that these things come up.

This term by NO means is insinuating lack of intelligence or trying to offend any of our affiliates. The affiliate programs goes both ways and this term is something that is placed in the conditions in case a situation arises where an affiliate isn’t performing on their end and hasn’t reached out for help or assistance. Also, if we (Chipleader team) notice that one of our affiliates (no matter the ranking) is falling behind we will contact them asap to see what WE can do as account managers to bring their numbers up, collaborate with them.

I do understand your perspective and I respect it but this is a stipulation of our program that will stay but is not something that is just enforced on the whim, we are a very fair and honest program. Myself as an account manager know how hard my affiliates work to maintain their players and their portals, this is why myself and the whole team strives to reach out to them to assist if we feel their is a problem…so in return this clause doesn’t come into effect.

I hope that I have addressed your concern, this is something that will not change anytime soon with the Chipleader program. If you have any further questions, concerns, or feedback please feel free to email me at Danielle@chipleader.com. I would be happy to hear from you.

    Very Best Regards,
    Danielle

Most rooms have a clause in their T&C’s that state if an affiliate becomes inactive for a period of tim the affiliate can be closed, in our case… it is only a right we reserve.. it does not state it is the policy. It is nothing more but a clause that can be used, its not actually stating it’s going to be used.

I don’t like this at all either and have been very vocal about it in the past with other programs.

Shit happens, people get sick or injured or have seo problems and the last thing they need is to have their already earned income pulled out from under them.

The revenue from a player he sent belongs to the affiliate.

A lot of programs i work with have this in T&C, among other things,
and ,over the years, I am starting to believe they are realy only there to be used in extreme circomstances, thats where T&C are for….
    You MUST write them strict.
How you use them is a second thing.

    just my 2 cents

I’m sure somewhere in the T&C’s it says they reserve the right to change the formula and pay you less as that is what they have done with the contributed formula and deducting deposit fees even on players not depositing as well as not paying the part of the BBJ they keep. That term would be something I would be more concerned about as it has already been used on multiple occasions.

Like it has been said most contracts will have an inactivity clause. If AP suddenly stopped paying players something would probably hit the fan. I’m sure there are plenty of affiliates out there that sold or retired that still get paid, especially if they were providing rakeback. If they stopped paying rb to certain players because an affiliate retired there would be a massive revolt.

    1. Is AP a good affiliate program ?
Sending a couple of players a day for a couple of years now, but allways concerned when something goes wrong.

AP support is one of the worst in the industri, and every time I ask about it I get the response that it is improving, and that they are hiring people. It hasnt improved. They are hiring spanish speaking people to take care of english speaking customers, so besides having support problems, you would have language problems as well.

    2. Is it acceptable to close inactive aff accounts.
Off course not, and every program that has this clause in terms shouldn’t be certified by CAP. We provide customers, and we split revenue – EOD. Is it acceptable to have the clause in the terms and not use it – No way.

    3. Is AP a aff program to recomend.
They have had big problems with stats, and they have been pocketing revenue that belonged to affiliates, but to be honest I don’t think it is because they are cheating – They simply don’t know any better.

    My recomendation: – Dont know :-;

    Best regards

it will always come down to the fact that any program that has an inactivity clause .. is set up to legally steal your rightful earnings.

thats fine. AP chooses to have this an is obviously set on keeping it.

    so I won’t promote them.

I encourage others to think twice too. These terms are there to give them a legal reason to steal what you should be getting.

again I say…. you deserve payment for every player you send. …. regardless of how often you send the next.

I promise you …. if you had a player that represented a huge earnings every month .. as i have just one falling into such category….. he plays by his own admission … full time. 9 screens at a time. its how he makes his living….. and obviously is very good at it as I’ve had him for years.

I would be a damn fool to send someone like that to place that has such terms.

Now that said… its also a damn shame that both AP and I stand to lose because of their stubborn refusal to remove such a term.

where’s the wisdom? they don’t have any logical reason for having that term … other than to use it against me at some future date. so we both lose. where’s the wisdom?

AP is a great website for poker players with high player retention rate, blackjack games and great bad beat jackpot tables. Every serious poker affiliate should have AP on their list. However, the support is defititely leaves much to be desired, the stats is not accurate. After their announcement that they can not issue checks any more, I have spent about a month to log on to my player account and figured out that just about a half of my commissions, that I see in the stats, were transferred to the player account. I hope in just a couple of months somebody will credit my Dec 06 commissions…

    Hi everybody,

Thank you very much for all your comments. We are taking every single one to improve our program and company.

Our customer service will be improving a lot in the near future since a lot of adjustments and changes are taking place right now. We are as concerned as you guys with that issue and it is one of our goals to provide the best service.

It is true that AP hires spanish speaking people to give support in english. That is a fact, since I am one of them. AP is based in Costa Rica and is hiring costarricans. I don’t think that should be a problem since we have a level of english that can be understood.

If you guys have questions or comments that haven’t been answered by the Customer Service Staff please send them to marcela@chipleader.com and I will gladly get an answer for you.

K77, please send me an e-mail about your commission problems and we’ll fix them ASAP.

    Thanks!

    Hi Marcela,

Why is Sub-affiliate referral stats no longer shown/added to commissions at the new UB backend?

Just wondering how we can access these stats at this point?

    Thanks!

The money were credited to my AP player acct. I’ve received the email from Manuel. Thanks to all.
As I have no Neteller acct, this time I have to discover the ways to withdraw the money. I have found that you need to make a deposit of at least $20 to withdraw anything (by ePassport). I wonder whether there are also wagering reqs for withdrawals?

There shouldn’t be any restrictions to withdraw your affiliate payments.
Send me your player account number or nickname to marcela@chipleader.com and I’ll have it set up as a affiliate account.

    Take care!

This just means Chipleader does not issues checks right? Player accounts can still withdraw by check right?

Did I read that right? The stats we see now are run by Ultimate Bet??

Something has NOT been right in my stats for the entire month….

I have written to support and I have used the message center in the affiliate interface and have not gotten a response.

This very same thing happened to my players at Ultimate Bet once a long time ago…and that revenu never returned either…

Has anyone else seen their revenue suddenly disappear on the first of the month??

I will now take the extra time to study the last part of August as well since it is possible it happened before the end of the month.
