Use the nofollow to an internal folder and then send the traffic from within. I can’t see google penalizing a site for restricting access to an internal folder.

Time spent on SEO per week=less time producing VALUABLE CONTENT THAT ACTUAL VISITORS AND NOT SPIDERS WILL APPRECIATE.

each to their own……. less seo time = less visitors actually being able to appreciate the valueable content
you need good amounts of each – as a site which just concentrates on 1 will not make it. You can write the best content and have the best looking site on the net……. but would be no good unless you build links and make the site search engine friendly
