Sometimes I sit and think about all the devious methods some people use to increase their online income. And I wonder if I’m missing the boat by playing it on the straight and narrow.
Then I remember this: One’s honor, integrity and credibility cannot be bought and once you’ve lost them – particularly your credibility, which is how people measure your worth – it is nearly impossible to get them back.
Some things can’t be bought.
[damn, this halo is starting to give me a headache]
Fergie,
You have the right approach.
I have been involved in Internet marketing since 1997. I’ve seen some guys get very rich using some very sleazy methods. I could have copied them and made a ton of money, but I have would have tough time living with myself. I don’t want to sound like an “angel” either, but it amazes me how some people can sleep at night when they make their living by lying and cheating people out of their hard earned money.

Alexa rankings – *most* not *all* data is dubious. If joe-schmoes-casinos.com is in the top 100K then a look at the spike will reveal the scam.
However, there are some sites legitimately in the top 100K (last I looked I was around 85K), some of them very high up (like Casinomeister should be in the 20K area).
I only ever ask someone to look at the Alexa ranking when they ask me stupid questions… LOL…

Inactivemy experience ALEXA blows…
here is why
my 6 month old site is ranked in top100.000 but my old site which has 50 X the amount of unique traffic (!!!!) is ranked at only 600.000
nice tracking hehe and the new site is not even ranked in the search engines whereas the old site has +15 top5 google and yahoo ranks….

GuestHi,
a bit off-subject but I just wanted to say to Mariners that IMHO you’re making a mistake to judge an aff by the number of traffic they see; and I think any program that has me for an affiliate will agree. I send very little in terms of numbers but I bet I am competitive in terms of money brought in – with many others who see 3 or even 5 times the traffic I get.
something to consider anyway.
