That’s quite all right greek. I thought I understood the internets but clearly there’s a whole new metaphysical layer that I have yet to appreciate or comprehend. I’m glad we’ve got you fighting in our corner! Give my best to Ricky.

The internets are very hard to understand since they are not a truck you can load.

I keep finding the tubes blocked by movies and pokerchips, and the horses can’t get through anymore because I can’t find any Lotto balls.

However, a crooked scheme is a crooked scheme is a crooked scheme, even on the internets.

We must continue to out people who pull a fast one on affiliates, no matter how many lotto balls it takes!

Blast and plant, Ricky! Just make sure you have the right tubes.

Since we are on the topic af stolen content here, what is suggested to do if you come across some of your own content on another site?

The reason I ask is one of my sites has a number of pages with good rankings under certain terms. One day I was going through my stats going back to the page of origin of my vistors and lo and behold I come across a site who took 2 of my 3 paragraphs from one of my pages, added it to the bottom of their page and then added keywords words into the paragraphs after about every 7 or 8 words written, which when read sounded stupid. It got them to number 1 on google though under one of my terms. I was going to email google but it was the middle of the night and pissed me off that I just shut down at that point. My memory is excellent but only lasts about 5 minutes and never remembered it till reading this thread.

Since the text is altered substantially, it doesn’t count as copied.

Tell google though. Looks like a scraping program combined with keyword stuffing. Google likes neither and should have plenty of examples submitted.

Seems like nothing is original anymore unless you write it yourself.

Thank you Howardmoon I greatly appreciate your acceptance of my apology. Too often my posts are often difficult to comprehend or appreciate. I agree 100% and probably most CAP members feel this way as well. But I will explain a little.

CAP has been my home for the last two years. I have said and done many things that I do regret but I have had more positive experiences than bad ones. My desire was to have just a plain and simple website, maybe earn a couple of bucks along the way. Hence the plan was to gravitate away from programming and begin learning HTML. I can’t stand HTML because of its simplicity and crude exploitable mark up language, I pursued it anyway. I started first with just using my notepad. Afterwards I started learning Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Fireworks just to speed up the process. I learnt these programs in under three months and began writing all my own content. I do have and maintain other sites that are not HTML, mainly Flash sites.

Back in 1983 I was quite fluent in writing many different programming languages. For that particular year I studied FORTRAN. FORTRAN was still underdevelopment but was for the time amazing. These were the days when software was a laughable word. Always pushing forward I met some very great people along the way. Many of them have made enormous contributions to the Internet. Without these people this forum would not be here today.

The best programmers are the ones who are self-taught. After all, the whole thing started by individuals learning stuff on their own in garages and basements. Who do think a large software company would prefer? One who has a Masters in Computer Science or the individual who has work miracles completely on their own. I would most certainly choose the latter.

I can tell you a hacker is NOT what you think. This is a letter sent to the Editor of the Wall Street Journal a few years back.

    “Dear Editor:

This letter is not meant for publication, although you may publish it if you wish. It is is meant for specificially for you, the editor, not the public.

I am a hacker. That is to say, I enjoy playing around with computers-working,learning about, and writing clever computer programs. I am not a cracker; I don’t make a pratice of breaking computer security.

There’s nothing shameful about the hacking I do. But when you tell people I am a hacker, people think I’m admitting something nauty-because newspapers such as yours misuse the word “hacker”. Giving the impression that it means “security breaker” and nothing else. You are giving hackers a bad name.

The saddest thing is that this problem is perpetuated deliberately. Your reporters know the difference between “hacker” and “security breaker”. They must know how to make the distinction, but you don’t let them! You insist on using “hacker” pejoratively. When reporters try to explain the other meanings you cut it.

Of coarse, you have a reason. You say that readers have become used to your insulting usage of “hacker” , so that you cannot change it now. Well, you can’t undo past mistakes today; but that is no excuse to repeat them tomorrow.

If I were what you call a “hacker”, at this point I would be threaten to crack your computer and crash it. But I am a hacker, not a cracker. I don’t do that kind of thing! I have more computers to play with at home and at work; I don’t need yours. Besides, its not my way to respond to insults with violence. My response is this letter.

You owe hackers an apology; but more than that, you owe us ordinary respect.

    Sincerely, etc.

    End

So what is the point of posting this? Well you are about to find out. This is a precursor to what is to follow. But first lets take a good hard look at that email I posted earlier in this thread. The correct more precise term is NOT Spam but what is known as a mailbomb.

Mailbomb – To send, or urge others to send, massive amounts of emails to single system or person with the intent to crash or Spam the receipt’s system. Mostly done in retaliation for a perceived serious offence. Mailbombing is a serious offence it can disrupt your entire OS (operating system).

Here is the malicious coding attached to the emails I receive. These are no laughing matter for they can if not dealt with properly crash your system. The code is encrypted but here it is.

Usenet can provide a list of emails and some naughty affiliate programs as well. But I will leave this topic for now.

The bottom line is this. I despise content theft, scraping, BH/SEO, basically anything malicious in nature. Its is not only a slap in the face of webmasters but also these people piss on the faces that help develop the Internet.

Who provided the first Online Poker Game? A hacker
    Who developed RNG? A hacker
Who made this forum possible? A hacker
Who helped developed Windows? A hacker
Who made it possible for webmasters to provide information? A hacker
    Who developed Linux? A hacker
Who made cyberspace possible? A hacker

I missed the point of this thread, but was tipped off and pursued it. In doing so we made that 1% difference in someone’s life. This my friend is what I am all about. I have helped make a difference for almost two years now so have some other CAP members. Some posts are easy to read some are not. I can’t be giving away any secretes, now can I. Some think I am full of shit some don’t.

This thread has not been closed I have not been booted out for being rude. The thread remains open because it is important.

When I am finally complete my work I will be back. BTW some will know what I am talking about I CAPTURE THE BEAST finally.

    Thank You
See ya in the New Year!

Take em easy Greekster. You get so immersed in all the content theft, blackhats ect… that I sometimes worry about you being consumed with nothing but negatives in your life. Let the beast live another week or two and maybe grab your fishing pole and spend a relaxing day out on the lake or take a long drive in the country, hell be spontanious and fly to the bahamas tomorrow if you want and enjoy a few days of sun and fun. Just don’t forget to find something pleasant in your life instead of being consumed with nothing but the negatives associated with your work.
