vladcizsolMemberJust make sure you dont end up being used as an example J Todd. I would be discreet or consider moving back to Texas.

Inactivewell that sucks!
let’s hope it’s not the beginning of a bad trend…

InactiveGuys,
I have considered moving back to Texas… but there are many other things in this equation.
The law does not mention receiving payments. Perhaps if I had a “partner” who was outside of this state, and all I did was recieve payments up here via NETeller?
Also, I dunno how they would view the APCW…
And, what about all the tribal and horse racing places in Washington? This new law doen’t mention any exclusions at all (except for state run lottos), and all the local casinos have websites.
And what about having a site dedicated to teaching people to play blackjack? Wouldn’t that be transmitting gambling information? That’s what the law says… “transmitting gambling information”.
And what if I am hosted in another state and not transmitting from here at all? And what the hell do they define as “gambling information” anyway?
Typical governemnt at work : Just vague enough to be dangerous.

InactiveI don’t think you will be going to jail. Perhaps moving is a good idea, Canada is not to far. greek39

InactiveJ.Todd–
I’m in full agreement that this is a lousy situation and I can’t help but wonder what these government buffoons are thinking. I’m absolutely concerned about where this is leading, as well as concern for your particular situation.
Not to take away from the seriousness of this situation, I would like to say that the image of a swastika on the US flag is a bit unsettling to me. I have family that went through the concentration camps and to see the swastika placed in this manner is truly upsetting. Additionally, if you do any research, the very flag you added to your thread is the same flag used by most skinhead/racist/American neo-Nazi organizations.
I doubt you meant to offend anyone, but I hope you can understand how offensive it can be to some.

InactiveThere was really no need to get rid of the flag, that’s exactly what it is
Those old Nazi’s came to America after the war and took up prominent positions within the US government
I’d hardly be concerned with the image of a flag, i’d be much more concerned about going to jail for playing poker, that is just ridiculous
Perhaps adding a Jewish emblem in the US flag would’ve been more appropriate, but they are all the same(politically), Jew, Nazi, American, there is no difference, they all go into other countries uninvited and drop their bombs and kill innocent people…really, if you think about it, who else has done that in the past 100 years besides them…nobody

InactiveHey ya GreedyGirl…
Thanks for the post… I’m sure you know that posting the flag was more of a personal political statement and never intended to cause pain to anyone. My apologies to you and anyone else who was offended.
I was trying to convey that, lately, the good ol’ USA seems like a police state run by the most vile and ignorant hypocrites… so much for the land of the free…
Perhapse a better commentary would have been this:

InactiveJ.Todd–
Thanks–I really appreciate it. I did not believe you meant to offend and I don’t disagree with your feelings on things. The image simply struck a nerve.
Nick, I agree that the greater issue here is what is happening in what appears to be a collapse of rights in the US. Clearly change is what is needed, but I don’t see how attacking anyone when it comes to racial lines or labling all Americans, Jews or Israelis as “evil” can be productive.
I’m Jewish. I’m American.
I’ve never killed anyone and there are MILLIONS more just like me.
And my apologies to J.Todd–I certainly did not mean for this thread to be derailed like this and again, I do appreciate your understanding.

InactiveWell i’m not gonna get into a political debate over someone posting a pic of a flag
I am only stating the facts about the similar war like activities of those 3 peoples, which they obviously have in common with one another
What disturbed me was that you were implying that the original poster was a neo nazi anti semite, and i didn’t get that impression at all
My grandfather was in a concentration camp during the war, and i am hardly a stranger to wars, yet i was not at all disturbed by the image of the flag
You can’t just go telling people not to do things because it bothers you, that’s not the way the world works, even though the government seems to think that is the way
I hope you can appreciate my point of view

InactiveNick–
I’m sorry if you misunderstood what I’d originally written. I was trying to be very careful in what I wrote, as I don’t believe for a moment that J.Todd is a racist or neo-Nazi or anything of the like and I don’t believe I implied this. Also, I never asked him to remove the flag. I simply pointed out that IMO, it was a bit unsettling.
And without question, I do appreciate your point of view.

As frustrating as this is and as angry as it may make you, no point red lighting yourself. Your’ve got too much to lose. Keep a cool head

InactiveThe important thing is that you have a nice website greedygirl, that’s all that really matters, and i understand your viewpoint, but i am more concerned with things like “what will be new killer disease” and “who gets the next big earthquake” and “who’s gonna nuke me”…all very popular government activities…when i look at things that way, there is not much that upsets me, i would gladly settle for the old school foot soldier with bayonet in hand coming to get me.
As for the gamblers trapped in America…follow the lead of other nations, assasinate your leaders when they start acting stupid…i’m afraid it is the only way…or you can just sit there and take your lumps like a dummy
One thing about politics…no matter what you say, somebody will always be offended

InactiveI dont know where in washington you live but have you considered moving to vancouver or just accross the us border? You would still be close to friends and family and would not risk going to jail.

InactiveAs I stated in another post, you’ve got nothing to worry about. Only the federal government can make laws involving the crossing of state lines or international borders. As you know, the state of Washington is always going against federal law- just to get shot down in court! Medical marijuana is a good e:beatup: xample.
