Ive seen it all, is just a matter of patience, i used to be an affiliate manager ( In one of the listed casinos from CAP), and believe me, if you are smart enough, if have patience and if you apply good tactics you can get as much as you want! Besides you need to love this to be encouraged and committed, otherwise you will leave it as another sad attempt to make money.
I have nothing against hard work, if for example I knew that x amount of articles + y swapped links = at least z in income, then it would be absolutely no problem and I’d probably do 5x and 10y! It’s the second guessing google which I find massively demoralising. You follow every piece of advice, you tweak the site here and there make sure it all validates and is nice and clean and still Google chooses completely irrelevant sites over yours, sites which have no fresh content for several years and which do not appear to have a huge amount of links either.
I guess my background in IT has made me a bit of a control freak and it’s the thought of relying on something, Google, which nobody really understands, that gets to me some times. -
