InactiveI think after having read this thatmaybe we need to be a bit more careful with who we promote. As Star, Amateur, and Professor pointed out I must be dealing with very small programs / private labels, which I did not consider an issue up to now. However that is one question I will be asking from now on every time I am contacted to promote a product!
The comissions I got were for several UK bingo sites (mostly Globalcom software), but after this happening with Neteller I have realised that they can’t be merchants, even though I thought that anyone who ran a business online would be.
What has p*ssed me off is that nowhere on the Neteller site does it mention anything regarding this ‘situation’, and the payment is now more or less locked unless I decide to invest it in some advertising…
Thanks for all the info and help guys, it has certainly opened my eyes and you learn somwething new every day.

You may want to start looking at alternatives now or the people you are working with may start bombing you with Neteller help requests very soon.I think this is a new policy, because I havent heard of it prior to now. I bet Neteller felt they were losing revenue to NON merchants using their services like a merchant would.
I think the Neteller concept always was to be a vehicle for MERCHANTS to accept and make payments to clients. NOT for clients to use it as an alternative banking method for private party money exchanges. It looks like they may now be trying to enforce that ideal with new policies.
That will be a major pain. My people will hate it. Now I give instant payments, if I have to go through a bank and snail mail checks it will take forever.
And I pay a goodly amount of fees for this – just because I like paying people with lightning speed. Makes everyone happy.
Neteller is making nice money off me.
If I can’t pay my people through it anymore, it’s useless to me and I will stop using it entirely.

90% of my commissions arrive via Neteller every month. Only a couple via Wire Transfer and one via Paypal. I dont see how an affiliate can drop Neteller.

InactiveI will open a new bank account, get wire transfers and connect this account to Paypal so I can still make the same fast payments.

InactiveAfter thinking about this I have the feeling his payment came from an individual, a non-merchant who used insta cash to pay him, if this is the case then no you cannot withdraw to the bank until the funds have cleared the other persons bank.
