InactiveYes it is ridiculous. Basically, it means that the people who paid me my comission through Neteller made a deposit to do so. But what has that got to do with me? I can’t control / am not interested in how operators big or small fund their Neteller account, as long as i get paid at the end of it.
This was the first time I’ve used Neteller, as i said, it was the first comission for me, but now I’ll have to find alternative means such as the good old fashioned cheque through snail mail. But I’m afraid that that money is effectively locked in my Neteller account and cannot be used.
It just p*sses me off. I seem to encounter one obstacle after another…

InactiveOr, you may (and you shouldn’t have to go through this) be able to make a “swap” with someone to Paypal, if you have an account with them.
If you pay the transfer charges, someone may be able to pay your Paypal, and you make a transfer to their Neteller.
If one Neteller member sends cash to another member, the person receiving the money pays the fee. If a merchant sends to a member, the merchant pays the fee. That’s why some programs do it that way, so the member pays the transfer fee.

InactiveCount me out.
There are still people at GPWA owing me money for such swaps.
It’s water down the bridge, but I’m not doing any repeats.

InactiveI think we can conclude that gambling operators and affiliate programs need
to be merchants, not “ordinary” members, in order to pay commissions to
their affiliates, via Neteller.Somehow Neteller has to stay in business…

InactiveHad he received the commission payment from a merchant there would not be a problem with his withdrawal. His email states that his payment came from someone who made a deposit to pay him. So they are blocking him from sending the money to his bank account.

vladcizsolMemberQuote:Had he received the commission payment from a merchant there would not be a problem with his withdrawal.I think that’s the key here and why most of us never noticed this policy by Neteller. The casinos are merchants and our commission payments will not be effected, so its business as usual 99% of the time.
If you do happen to work with a very small “program” or private label who is not really a merchant then you could experience a problem like what’s being reported.

InactiveSounds like a money exchange prevention rule to me. There is some logic in it, but it should be made very clear as to why.
Edited by Professor – No “L” word please

InactiveI regularly pay people through neteller – all the time.
If they couldn’t withdraw the money into their banks it would require all kinds of extra steps to get them paid.
The reason I like neteller is because I can conduct most of my busioness transactions through it.

InactiveSimmo! wrote:Sounds like a money-exchange prevention rule to me. There is some logic in it, but it should be made very clear as to why.It appears that in their efforts to prevent money exchanging, they are, in fact, demanding that a member do exactly that. If a member is required to send the money to a merchant, and get it back again, before making a withdrawal, isn’t that “washing“ the money?
The relatively small amounts members may transfer to one another, is nothing in comparison to the amounts merchants push through their accounts. It is far more likely for the “exchanging” to happen through transfers to merchants, than with transfers from one member to another.

vladcizsolMemberNot so sure that’s going to work moving forward Dom. You may want to start looking at alternatives now or the people you are working with may start bombing you with Neteller help requests very soon.
I think this is a new policy, because I havent heard of it prior to now. I bet Neteller felt they were losing revenue to NON merchants using their services like a merchant would.
I think the Neteller concept always was to be a vehicle for MERCHANTS to accept and make payments to clients. NOT for clients to use it as an alternative banking method for private party money exchanges. It looks like they may now be trying to enforce that ideal with new policies.

vladcizsolMemberGuys quit talking about money <sanitization> please.
NETELLER IS NOT for Money de-soiling and the last thing we want is to imply that as possibility.
Realistically if we lost Neteller as a payment processor we would all be out of business in several months. At the very least we would see 70% of the transactions now being done vanish overnight until another solution was developed and in wide spread use. This would probably take months and many of us would starve to death during that time frame.
These pages are indexed by the major search engines and I do NOT want Neteller and Money <cleansing> associated with each other even its just a casual discussion. I also dont particulary want CAP coming up at Google when someone in washington searches for that “L” word term.
(I am going to delete this post in a few minutes and edit your post to remove the L word. Just wanted you to know WHY I am going to do it)

InactiveAnd this is wrong! I have a partner and we switch money quite often back and forth with Neteller, and believe me they get plenty of fees paid to them to make it worth their wild over at Neteller!
