Add in Greek and Fergie, Mojo and you have the ones who consistently find a reason to despise CAP.
Whats funny is other then provide a forum, mostly filled with angry nuts, what has GPWA really done for anyone or the industry? Yet the haters seem to find everything they do charming and without reproach.
Doctor told me cut down on stress so I am not going over there anymore. I hope sooner or later the members at GPWA say enough is enough. They spend more time on CAP then the industry or anything else. Silly really.

Poor mojo must have a disorder of making it a life mission to destroy anyone that cross her in a bad way. I’ve never had a run in with her (a few heated debates), but will always reply with facts to any of them.
Joeyl, knows to not mess with me or I’ll tell how he conned me out of over $150 one Easter $50 at a time over a weekend about five years ago.
All of them have very little respect in the community as folks see them for the pitiful folks they are.
I”m glad to see that Casinomeister don’t allow that gossipy crap to go un-replied to with facts. Atlease we learned that we can PAB over affiliate stuff! YAY!
Another frivelous attack coming from J Toad tomorrow or Friday. No they want to condem us for helping launch Affiliate SpeedPay. We did work on ASP diectly after the Neteller disaster when everyones money got frozen for months. I am not the least bit ashamed or appologetic for trying to help affiliates.
Here is our offical statement:
We are an exclusive marketing partner of ASP. The actual system is operated by an EU licensed Bank in Cyprus and all data is secure. We have no access to any user data per banking regulations. ASP was crafted as a custom and secure affiliate payment solution. We endorse it and continue to do so based on those merits.
Instead of promoting a solution thats good for affiliates GPWA and its video arm (APCW) want to tear things down. Sad again.

Well I know how this stuff does hurt and bother you Lou, I was a victim of this stuff yrs ago and I am sure Robin you remember this. I made the mistake of reading every day and playing into these cyber bully’s hands. I actually gave up a 14 yr friendship over it because she went to the dark evil side of forum gossiping and hating. I don’t miss her for a min and never realized the sort of person she really was but I tell you one thing it taught me that these types feed on responses of any kind. It isn’t because I am not your friend or don’t care about you that I don’t toss my self into the firing line more often but because in the end I am afraid they will feed off it and enjoy the drama, what they hate the most is to be ignored and that is what I try to do.
I have always tried to stay away from any forum drama after all this went down, I had personal info posted out pubic and stuff like that can really hurt my family. I have seen how vicious some of these nasty creatures are. If I can say my peace without throwing something at them I will but they are really starting to piss me off with the rumors now and when I am pissed I am better off shutting my mouth.
You need to take care of yourself and your health for your family, they need you around and what kind of life would your kids have without a dad? Mine would be much happier with theirs believe me. Your sick and need to care for yourself first and foremost. There is nothing really to worry about as you said there only a few flamers over there keeping that forum alive, it is a dead place and of no real use and believe me most of us affiliates know this why do you think we live at CAP

Casino Affiliate Programs May Hold Interest in CardSpike
By Dan Cypra for POKER NEWS DAILY | Posted on January 07, 2009According to Michael Corfman, Executive Director of the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (GPWA) and Chief Executive Officer of Casino City, the owners of Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP) are also the men behind CardSpike. The revelation was made in a post on GPWA’s forums. However, GPWA and CAP appear to be competitors, alluded to by Corfman in his post. In addition, many GPWA posters have questioned the accuracy of Corfman’s statement. Read the CardSpike thread.
CardSpike has come under fire for delays in paying affiliates. In late December, Poker Affiliate Programs (PAP), the sister site of CAP, pulled its endorsement of CardSpike. In his GPWA post, Corfman explained, “I was actually told many months ago that the principals at CAP were the beneficial owners of CardSpike.” He continued, “My understanding is that principals at CAP, which claims to certify programs and represent affiliates, are running a rogue operation and ripping off affiliates on the side.”
Posts on the PAP forums regarding CardSpike were locked at the time of writing. PAP member “Ridge,” who has been searching for his affiliate payment, commented in his most recent post, “I have players that I have to pay, and I want [to be] paid. I will not be satisfied until you pay me and my players.” Corfman also stated that in addition to having an interest in CardSpike, CAP officials also own part of Affiliate Speed Pay. However, the payment company vehemently denied the link: “The false, untrue, and misleading posting on GPWA came to our attention today and due to the serious allegations made on the forum, we are now urgently setting matters straight.”
Corfman explains, “So you have an organization being paid by affiliate programs to help them establish new affiliate relations that is, behind the scenes, using the affiliates who are referred to them through those programs and through Affiliate Speed Pay to promote CardSpike, which is their own beneficially owned online gaming operation.”
CardSpike, according to blogger Nat Arem, is a “rogue skin on the Cake Poker network.” The trouble seemed to emanate from a promotional post made on FeltPoker.com that promoted the new Cake Poker skin. The thread, which is nine pages long, was started by “Randy,” the site’s administrator. A VIP program plus 33% rakeback were the two main selling points for CardSpike, which boasted that players could still sign up even if they already had an account with another Cake Poker Network site. All they had to do was use a different e-mail address. The post was created on September 22nd.
In November, the lack of payments to affiliates came to a head. On the PAP forums, “Ridge” questioned, “Isn’t PAP/CAP owners or investors of this site?” PAP member “Greg,” who is now banned from PAP, responded, “First off, CAP/PAP does not own any part of CardSpike nor do they have any control over the payments to players or affiliates.” The banished user was a promoter of CardSpike on PAP and made numerous claims that affiliates would be paid.
A new face then emerged on PAP’s forums, “Peter_CardSpike.” His e-mail and Skype addresses were xxxPeter@cardspikeaffiliates.com and “Peter Cardspike,” respectively. Recently, however, it appears as if several affiliates have been paid. However, “Ridge,” a very vocal PAP member, was not among them. On a post made on Tuesday, he commented, “OK, so affiliates are being paid. As I posted in the thread that is now locked, I have players that have not [gotten] their rakeback for the past two months, and I have only been paid for some of what was owed to me.” CardSpike remains absent from PAP’s “All In” endorsements. Affiliate programs that appear on PAP’s site include those belonging to PokerStars, Doyle’s Room, Cake Poker, and Everest Poker.
GPWA boasts 5,000 registered members and was founded in 2001 to “provide affiliate members with the means to collaborate with other online gaming affiliates around the world and to strengthen relationships with affiliate programs,” according to its website. Corfman acknowledged that GPWA and CAP are competitors.

Looks like we have all been in the line of fire before – unfortunately it seems to be the nature of the beast oline. If you become visible, you become a target.
There can be a fine line between correcting faulty statements and blowing on the fire to make it hotter.
I have stayed away from the GPWA flame because I don’t want to lend it credibility. The less credible people post there, the more stupid the whole thing looks, IMO.
If the only people posting in that thread are the usual rebel rousers, it will lose credibility fast. People may like to watch a drama and keep reading, but if the only people contributing are known hatemongers, people will know this and not lend any credibility.
I have learned that sometimes defending oneself in a flame only feeds it. I think it is best handled by just making one plain statement of fact and letting them try to tear that apart. They will look stupid grasping at straws and splitting hairs and destroy their own mission. Not only that, if they are fed only dry, short, factual statements they will try to blow life into them and distort them, and that endeavor becomes obvious to readers and ends up making the thread boring.
Lawyers and business consultants know this, hence you see businesses only make short, unemotional, dry statements of fact.

Thanks Robin I am forwarding the info on to our attorney and the attornies representing ASP who are now taking legal action again the Parent Company of GPWA and APCW.
I was equally stunned by Michael going rogue. When he took over at GPWA I was very optimistic about the future of the group and we were very supportive of him. We even provided free booths at our events for GPWA and APCW and allowed them to distribute their magazines freely and have access to all our attending affiliates and sponsors. All of a sudden BAM! total change in charecter.
It started awhile back with the “joke” in the GPWA newsletter that they had purchased CAP and has ratched up steadily.
I guess they figure this cheap heat is the only way to attract attention to their second rate brand. At CAP we INVEST in the community and constantly add new features and events to give affiliates the best experience possible. MyCAP is an example which cost us over $100K to develop, its NOT a free facebook group where your data is not fully secure. CAP TV is not a one man band working with an old camcorder, a tripod and free editing software. We brought in producers and editors from the broadcast business. That cost money too believe me and the product will quickly become the industry standard. We doubled the distribution of CAP Magazine and are actively adding new Regional Events like CAP Down Under so all affiliates can easily attend a conference. There is ASOP which has awared affiliates with over $75,000 in cash prizes. There is CAP money. We retained two of the best SEO minds in the industry to share their knowlege with our members (Over $150,000 per year) Etc…. Etc… Etc…
We do our best to GIVE BACK to affiliates and strengthen everyone. They concentrate on destroying peoples reputations and give back nothing. APCW and J Toad ae attacking us and ASP again today and they are doing another piece on us Tuesday. They are sp desperate to harm us they spend ALL their time and resources on that one mission.
I think Michael knows at the product or user experience levels he CANT compete with CAP so he chose to spend his time and efforts on slander, rumors and outright lies to damage us and the people we work with like ASP.
It’s a shame and I pray every night people will realize this is all a sham by a jealous and bitter competitor. Over time, between the efforts of our Legal Team and ASPs, I am sure my prayers will be answered and we can all concentrade on growing our businesses and growing the inudstry.

I have children at home and a young grand baby and two elderly grandmothers. I didnt watch the video, but my wife did and she called me crying. Shes affraid for the families safety and justifiably so. ANY sick bastard with a grudge can now reach out and harm my family. This is the sickest case of cyber stalking I have ever seen in my life!!!!

I know people are reluctant to take sides in ANYTHING or get involved, but again just imagine this was happening to you and your family. These people are sick and rogues of the highest order. I cant imagine anyone agrreing with these actions and I urge everyone with a shred of decency to stop supporting GPWA and APCW in any capacity.
