I wanted to alert you to a post at GPWA. http://www.gpwa.org/forum/cardspike-cap-gambling911-178366.html

I was actually told many months ago that the principals at CAP were the beneficial owners of Cardspike.

More recently I became aware that Cardspike had such a bad payment record that it should properly be considered a rogue operation.

Still, I kept quiet and did not say anything. Perhaps I should not have stayed quiet, but there are limits on what level of attack is appropriate against a competitor, especially when that competitor is quick to threaten lawsuits … a topic for another day.

But anyway, now that the cat is out of the bag, I can confirm that what I have been told is far worse than anyone might imagine.

My understanding is that principals at CAP, which claims to certify programs and represent affiliates, are running a rogue operation and ripping off affiliates on the side.

And they have an ownership interest in Affiliate Speed Pay too.

So you have an organization being paid by affiliate programs to help them establish new affiliate relations that is, behind the scenes, using the affiliates who are referred to them through those programs and through affiliate speed pay to promote cardspike, which is their own beneficially owned online gaming operation.

And then you have cardspike, which is an online gaming operation beneficially operated by US citizens, that accepts US players. Simply unbelievable.

    What goes around comes around.

    Michael

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah there is similar crap running at Gambling911. Michael knows this is patently false, but is once again maliciously attempting to damage our business in the hopes his will somehow grow as a byproduct.

This is in the hands of our attornies and the parent company of GPWA IS being sued by our parent company Affiliate Media Inc. We will seek a restraining order and relief from the courts to stop these attacks which have been going on for months now.

You gotta love love the timing of these attacks during the holidays when our offices are closed. Typical cowardly behavior by this honorless group.

It’s a shame Michael has chosen this route as we formally were very supportive of GPWA and had them at all of our past events and even did some battle of the boards typre promos with them. I now believe he had planned this sort of hostile ending from the start.

Look at the preogression of events

    1. Just for fun posts and newsletter articles of GPWA purchasing CAP.
    2. Launch of GPWA “Magazine”
    3. Launch of GPWA Conference and scheduling it right before CAP Euro Barcelona.
    4. Surprise purchase of APCW directly after CAP Euro Barcelona even though we had agreement with J Todd to bring him onboard with AMI and paid for his expenses to join us in Spain to sign the contracts!
    5. Long thread at GPWA about CAP and suppossed mass bannings etc… Less then 20 people out of nearly 8000 members have been banned from CAP and all for good reason as they were disruptive or hostile. There are no large communities which arent forced to remove some members who refuse to adhere to even basic rules of common courtesy, CAP is no different and no worse. This thread went on and on and on at GPWA.

    6. Jeremy Enke quits PAP directly after CAP Euro Barcelona also and opens PAL despite non compete clause and confidentiality agreement. Almost immediately we see Michael embrace his new “community” and start negative posting campaigns there about myself and Warren and CAP.

    7. Now open hostility on GPWA public threads attacking CAP, myself and Warren. Its sickening. On Gambling911 there are even posts as to wether I am still alive, so perhaps thats one of their goals/wishes too. That I suffer another heart attack so they keep ratcheting up attacks and pressure. Sick.

Throughout the whole ordeal we have basically taken the high road and tried to not lower ourselves into the mud to roll around with Michael and his new cronies, but it’s impossible to resolve this or stop it wthout the courts getting involved so I cant comment publicly, but you will see the news posts when suits are formally filed and I WILL respond publically then.

In the mean time we do sincerely appreciate the support we have received from our loyal friends and members. Registrations at all the upcoming CAP Events are breaking all previous records so the evil plots of of a few arent having the effect they hoped for. We will get through this.

Thanks for taking the time to lay out the facts Lou. I’m never amazed at how far folks will go to attack someone they feel threatened by. Best of luck in your endevour and you have my support. :hattip:

I always have and always will dislike division and splintering of affiliates.

Infighting always has a high risk of self destruction, especially in a grey area.

    This all worries me enormously.

Its not CAP doing it Dom. They are attacking US. If you came under attack by a competitor at this level you would understand what we are going through. I hope it never happens to you, because its a nightmare for me, my family and my company.

We never asked for this and at some point we have to either defend ourselves or leave the business. I am not a QUITTER so we will fight.

I know that it’s not pretty Dom and it’s actually very sad, but I have been underattack online in the past and it’s horrible! I had folks stalking me for years until this year when I put a stop to it.

They will never go away or leave in peace so I can understand why Lou feels as he does. I hope that it works out for the good of those involved.

I’ve been speaking with Michael via PM today and I’m very sad to say that he seems to be hell bent on not working this out in a civilized manner and see CAP as the bad guy. :(

I’m really bummed over the fact that CAP and GPWA seem to be drifting further apart. It’s not good for any of us.

I know all about online troubles, I suffered for years after Cindy wo used to run GPWA wrote to all the aff programs saying I was a blackmailer…and I was kicked out of GPWA for supposedly that and it was a bunch of lies.

    This crap happens continuously online.

If you are in any way prominent or visible, it will happen to you.

I have been called every name in the book and accused of every crap they could think up.

It’s wrong, but it’s there and it just happens.

Yeah I remember that and CAP and I stood behind you 100% then and now.

Now its our turn to be thrown under the wheels by GPWA and we need all the friends and supporters we can get to prevent that from happening.

I remember that as well Dom and is why I came to CAP and tried to befriend you back then, but was very new and shy (if you can believe that). :D

Infact I had a little run in with Cindy over CAP last month over at GIA, as she is friends with my enemies over at Sucks, but I think we have an understanding now that she seems that I won’t take any BS! I was being dumped on just because I’m a volunteer mod here at CAP, but I’m holding my own. LOL

I hang out at GIA and GPWA so that I can keep abreast of major igaming gossip.

Just getting back into the thick of things here and playing catch up, seems I have missed a lot. I hate wars and really hate to see all this happening it is such a shame and I hope it can all be resolved without lawsuits and courts etc I know this industry just needs to stop fighting with each other and stand together, we all have a much bigger war to fight and win and that is making what we do legal! I think we need to all pull together and not let the politicians see all this fighting with the major forums. I hate to see any fights

Hi Christine! I see you got lucky in Vegas! :)

From what I know there will be no peace as it relates to CAP and GPWA and if this blows over without legal incident then it would be great, but I don’t see how it can end unless they know that CAP is serious? This has gone on for months now and with their new alliance it won’t end anytime soon.

Its not really a fight. We are getting the shit kicked out of us for nothing other than being successful basically. What have you seen us do to GPWA? Anything?

We told them they couldnt come to our shows if they were doing their own conferences thats it and we were certainly right in saying that. All this started months ago and we have remained silent on the issue and tried to take the high road hoping all this would somehow blow over or people would get sick of hearing the horseshit from Michael.

I have no idea what Michael wants other than that he seemingly wants to ruin CAP at all costs and has been working towards that end non stop since early 2008.

Oh well, if they win then there will be no more great shows and events for affiliates that are free, No ASOP Events, No CAP Awards, No CAP Spring Breaks, No CAP arranged Parties, No CAP Magazines. Just boring events which no one will want to attend and a mostly forum filled with hateful people.

I just hope people care enough about CAP and what we bring to the industry to stand up just a little bit for us. The people who hate us sure arent silent.

Just found out through the Grape Vine APCW (owned by GPWA) will be staging an attack on us tomorrow. Guess I picked a bad week to quit sniffing glue.

Much as I didnt want to I went over and read the GPWA thread. As expected it’s the usual suspects attacking CAP.

Robin I really appreciate you being the ONE person to at least comment on our behalf. It’s a shame that others sit silent as we get trashed. Your fairness and loyalty wont be forgotten, it’s nice to have at least one real friend I can count on when its not politically expediant to take a stance in such a hostile and negative enviroment.

Its also nice to see its the same set of haters that are leading this attack and that the vast majority of GPWA members havent wanted to get sucked into Michaels Mud Pit.

    Thanks again :hattip:
