GuestNicely written Ark. I have never done well with GSN which isn’t that big of a deal, as I do agree that some programs do better than others for some webmasters.
But I’d also like to say that Marlo has sent out some newsletters promising some pretty amazing numbers…… all of which I know I never saw realized.
And I can’t speak for anyone but myself; but I for one will not be quick to jump on the bandwagon the next time you get a new casino and send out a newsletter promising such great results.
I buy expensive traffic that will convert; so I find is mighty funny when I send that traffic to a casino that you claim has such as fantastic conversion rate; and then I don’t see any kind of speakable results.
And in all the time I’ve promoted casinos from GSN, only one time did I ever land a decent sized player; and he was there for one month; and then never heard from again. That despite the fact he played and lost about 2k.
I always find it strange when I have a player that has been playing considerably one month; to have them disappear the following month without a trace
. That’s enough to make anybody wonder.all that said; I’ve tested GSN a couple of times and the players always showed up. But for me; GSN was a bust.
all that said; I think Marlo is a hell of a guy and always wish him the best in life.

InactiveHello all,
I started with GSN in the begining of there debut … It went well at first then it just went to pieces. I was told send more traffic, then I was told what Marlo said earlier ” some sites tend to do better then others with different casinos” Well why the sudden change when there was not a problem before I must ask myself??? I do know one thing … It looks like I was sending the same players but in there stats the comping they did for the same players with free casino money totally diminished the money that the players invested and played. I can also say this started at the time River Nile was opened. At that point I removed them from my top spots and as well I never made barely even close to what I had made at prior times. Though they still have some of those gamblers I brought them playing today, I rarely ever see a profit at all. It comes down to the fact that if the people play there stats say they comped them as much or more then what the people play. This does not seem right, since they tell people that its for the life of the player but a players life really does not matter if the money they play is overshadowed by huge comps coming out of our the affiliates earnings.
Honestly I see this happening a lot with the Microgaming casinos so it is not only GSN. I talked to Marlo quite a lot about the decline and all he gave me was the same old line dance…
I honestly think they changed there terms in house as to what to do with comps after they had big enough affiliate database sending enough players. But I can say they treated us well at conventions and I always liked the champagne. Problem is that I could not pay my advertising costs with the bubbley. I was drained quite a large amount of advertising money by them when whatever it was that they changed. I would have a hard time trusting them again. Correction, I do not know if I would trust them again even if I wanted to. Yet I still have players there making me next to nothing monthly.

No Comments to add … for me this says it all for GSN.November 7, 2003 at 5:30 am #641192bb1webs

InactiveIn GSN’s defense I have to say they have always done well for me. I can only remember a month or two where I was under 1k and have almost always been much higher.
Lately they have been on fire.
can you say 5 figgies? 2 months running?
Marlo can verify this :bigsmile:How? Ive just have never given up on them. 2 years running. Now if I could just get River Nile to convert
Why? Because they didnt give up on me when I first started out.

InactiveActually I think 100 clicks from the bottom are better clicks. On top it is often just an impulse – but the visitor who has worked their way through info to the bottom is making a more educated decision to click.
100% right on my opinion.

Sounds familiar :hmmm: I raised a fuss with them a while back and ever since …. well just read my post.
I know its rediculous but well …. I could not say a coincidence … No its just rediculous ….
I never had made a buck with River Nile either … that casino is a lost cause from what I have experienced.
New theory here, they support River Nile with the proceeds from there others … I have noticed often when a affiliate program adds a new casino the revenue of the prior good earning casinos hit bottom a few months.

Guestoften when a affiliate program adds a new casino the revenue of the prior good earning casinos hit bottom a few months.
I totally agree. Instead of getting excited when I see a new casino has been added; I cringe and begin cutting back exposure to all their sister sites.

I noticed this “coincidence” too… mathematics would call it a HIGH co-relation.
I guess less is more.

InactiveInteresting,
I figured that the adding of casinos causing a revenue was not a coincidence … I would call it one hand stealing from the other to feed ones greedy pie hole.
Obviously a lack of funds and getting something on credit …
I have been told about certain software manufactures allowing this and now know I am not the only one seeing these things.Sorry I have not been visiting more often Proffesor … played to much golf this summer arrggghhh that good handicap has cost me a bit more then I thought arrgghhh
